Lusaka City on Sunday experienced outbreaks of fire in two different locations in strange circumstances.
The first fire broke out at Chalimbana University in Chongwe where part of the university was razed to ashes.
The store room section where the school keeps items such as mattresses was burnt as well as some hostels.
The fire started around 15:30 and was spreading until 17:00 Hours when fire fighters managed to put it out.
Another inferno happened around 19 Hours at Kamwala Market, one of the biggest trading areas of the capital city.
Shops mostly in an area called the Orange Shops were affected with goods worth millions of Kwacha destroyed.
Some youths took advantage of the fire outbreak to loot from the affected shops.
Fire fighters from the Zambia Air Force were called in to help quench the fire which they managed to do three hours later.
In both cases, the cause of the fire has not been established.
But the ruling PF through its Media Director Sunday Chanda was quick to blame the opposition UPND for the fire outbreaks in the city.
Mr Chanda alleged that “UPND MPs met and planned for violent protests over the arrest of their leader. This evening UPND has set some part of Kamwala market on fire,” he said.
Hmmm …….. Mr. Sunday Chanda, are you for real?
Lungu with the help of Kennedy Kamba and Kaiser are behind these fires.
They have resorted to burning people s property to tunr people against UPND to strengthen their case of treason against HH because what they currently have can not stand a legal credibility.
