President Lungu help to fit the bow hat unto the head of Zulu

A 28-year-old Lusaka youth who shocked guests at Friday’s Meet the President Gala Dinner when he outbid everything for President Edgar Lungu’s bow hat by paying K185,000 for the item says he paid the hefty price for the item because he loves the PF.

Munir Zulu outbid everyone during the glittering ceremony at the Government Complex which was graced by President Lungu with a number of PF aligned musicians performing on the night.

Zulu who lists his occupation on his social media profiles as a Contractor and Proprietor of Shareek General Dealers said he considers President Lungu as his mentor and he wanted to help the party reorganise its youth wing.

President Lungu helped Phiri fit into his new addition to the wardrobe as diners cheered on.

“Am so grateful to all those that supported my bid to buy the hat at the auction. It was not easy but for the love of pf we had to do it. To those that came with strong competition I say thanks for the good fight but we all green at the end of the day,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

He added, “So proud to wear it especially that Eagle one he had to give to me. I am Proud to be a youth and extremely humbled to be PF.”

“President Lungu is my mentor, his tenacity his humble stature is very admirable, he is a great leader… I want to strive and emulate him,” he said.

When asked about the K185, 000, Phiri responded; “it is going to a good cause, growing our youth wing is very vital for the party to stand strong. I must admit I was very impressed with the way the youth organisers put the whole event together and I was compelled to contribute to its cause.”

“This hat is my precious souvenir, it goes on my head, I actually feel like I have the President’s mind whispering in my ears when I wear it,” he said.

Meanwhile, some PF insiders have revealed that Zulu is infact State House Political Adviser Kaizer Zulu’s young brother and is normally used to front Kaizer’s many businesses.

“What we know is that the boy was just used on the night because the entire auction was stage managed to impress the Boss (President Lungu). So that was Kaizer’s money in reality,” the source said.

    • For God sake just fire that Kaiser. That embarrassment of staging family members to show off that other PF MCC ate idyots is close to endangerment of your Lungu.
What can be worse than this, I think shooting Kavindele Jr, or beating up a girl at filling station,
or assaulting female officer, is less crime thatn

  1. So the economy is not that bad. If you are broke, check yourself, you may be having personal problems regarding managing finances. Well done PF!

  2. It says it all: He’s Kaizer Zulu’s young brother who runs businesses. All those businesses will be frozen & seized once PF is kicked out of power.

Only a PF00L would pay so much for a hat of a brainless Museveni-wannabe dictator.

As the saying goes, Nero fiddled While Rome burned (i.e. Emperor Nero played music while his people suffered)

    • Ati “he considers Lungu as his mentor”. He really meant to say DRINK-MATE. As a young bro to Kaizer, he obviously is a guest at lungu’s Jameson parties.

His company is beneficiary of contracts from Chinese loans & Eurobond loans. Now they are waiting to devour the IMF $1.6 Billion.

There only 3 reasons PF00Ls support lungu:

      1. you are a beneficiary of contracts, govt position
      2. you are a tribalist/regionalist
      3. you are retarded

    • @Maloza, PF is not a tribal party neither are its followers because we have nothing to be bitter about unlike you. With such bitterness you can even rape a chicken, so hold your fire.

No drugs in hospitals, poor sanitation in the townships, most under-nourished country on the planet and you bid ZMK 185,000.00 for a hat. Madness, Madness all round.

  7. At 28, he already has K185,000 to spare.

How do the tax returns look like, he surely should be paying millions in tax.

Could it be a sign of corruption, notice PF youths are now quite rich.

Really laughable…a visionless Lazy Bum becomes President and he is now a mentor..mentoring PF youth on how to steal.

  8. This is our money which is been made by dubiously awarding pf cadres like this boy contracts. He then goes on to do a favour for his illegal feeders who have awarded him contracts which should have gone to genuine hard working Zambian companies. They will all die soon. Mark my words

  9. Embarrassing, surely KZ’s young brother. They can’t even find people to participate in these auctions. Why hold one then?

  10. Commission of inquiry needed. How can this 28 year old spend K185,000.00 on a hat costing K5 at the market stand and people still think he worked for this money. Only stolen money can buy such!!!

    • These are the so called rich yet they can not buy ZCCM shares…only us Zambians are good at drawing attention to ourselves; Bill Gates would never do that…they remind of those bank robbers from day in the day who stole more money than planned only to end up buying saugages and t-bone steak for the whole shanty compound.
In US, Revenue Office and FBI would be coming sniffing about.

    • @poison tree be civil in your language. whoever you are our country needs maturity in times like these to put us back on track. This country has great imbalances. Here we are talking about someone buying a hat for K185,000 and yet the UN tells us that our people are malnutritioned. Why should everything be about politics? Oh by the way, if you want to arrest GBM over the Mongu act, please arrest all the drivers of the more than 60 vehicles which were in that convoy. Dont be selective in your application of the law. Zambia needs civility and a mindset shift now more than ever

  15. So they feel special buying and putting on the President’s clothes? Today he’s the number one citizen in the nation. A few years from now some people might even be failing to escort him to court to show solidarity.

  16. @Maloza – What about your money and HH’s is it corruptly obtained too?
@Ba Folosho – How many rich people do we have in Zambia not exclude HH, how much have they contributed towards national development including you?
@ Goodman – You can also be rich just use your head properly.
@Nez – What about HH’s privatization money was it not ours?
@Jay Jay – Just like HH’s shares which he bought with privatization money
