Kitwe United moved up to second position in FAZ Division 1 Zone 2 after thumping ZNS Lwamfumu 3-0 on Sunday at Garden Park Stadium in Kitwe.
Striker Rodgers Mukenge grabbed a hattrick in Kitwe’s first match since they lost three supporters in a road accident over a week ago.
Former Lumwana Radiants player Mukenge opened the scoring early in the first half before scoring two second half goals.
Kitwe sit on 11 points, three behind leaders FQM Roads, after six matches played.
Roads opened up a three point lead thanks to Sunday’s 1-0 win over visitors Geokas Curve United in the North-Western Province.
Kalulushi Modern Stars and Roan United settled for a goalless draw at Independence Stadium in Kalulushi.
The draw made Kalulushi relinquish the second slot to Kitwe United.
