VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina says Government will not allow unscrupulous people masquerading as religious leaders to swindle poor people out of their hard-earned cash.
Mrs Wina, however, says churches are free to operate in the country because they are mandated to do so by law.

“Government, through the ministries of National Guidance and Religious Affairs and Home Affairs, will not allow people to come in the country through existing churches to swindle Zambians,” she said.

The Vice-President says in as much as no arrests have been made of those swindling people, the two ministries are equal to the task and offenders will be dealt with in accordance with the existing laws.

She was responding to Luangeni member of Parliament (MP) Charles Zulu, during the question-for-oral-answer session in Parliament, who wanted to find out from the Ministry of Home Affairs on how many arrests have been made on those masquerading as religious leaders from 2011 to date.

Mr Zulu also wanted to know what measures have been taken to reduce the number of people masquerading as pastors.

If fake pastors and profits will not be allowed to swindle poor people, does it mean genuine pastors and profits will be allowed to swindle poor people? Why not just say pastors will not be allowed to swindle poor people. This holier-than-thou mentality in pf, mukaikulika one day like judas escariot.

Madam Wina what about politicians that promise to deliver good health services, equal opportunities in education and employment, access to life’s necessities and good housing and sanitation? Free society to air their views and not face prosecution from authorities if the views are disconcerting? Are our modern day politicians not worse than the fake prophets and pastors promising miracle money and healing?

What about the Master PFief, Lungu, is he allowed to swindle poor people? He is advocating for donors to stay away from Zambia when he gets $100,000 for every foreign trip he undertakes even though all expenses are paid. Who is worse – a fake prophet or a PFake President?

The Bible says that “Give and it shall be given back to you, good measure pressed down running over shall men give unto your bosom”.
Let the people give and God will bless them with their measure of giving.
    I thank you.

This holier-than-thou mentality in pf, mukaikulika one day like judas escariot……Just to help u….There is no true pastor who can swindle people. So whoever swindles people it means he is a fake pastor or prophet.

In short whoever swindles someone is fake? What about lawyers who swindle clients?

@ divide and rule, I have the same sentiments , I subscribe to the order in which the good news should be disseminated as her honour the VP puts it on fake and swindler pastors. But like you, I question ethics and criteria used to allow a lawyer conspire with a criminal to lie under oath and bluntantly defend a criminal , and when luckily the criminal is found guilty by the judge , the lawyer is not himself deemed an accomplice. If I support a criminal in any way ,be it by tempering with evidence or by hiding him / her , l will be deemed an accomplice. In many instances lawyers even benefit from proceeds of the crime . Eg lawyer will be paid to defend a bank robbery with the same money stolen from the bank. A lawyer gets nothing but the truth from accused before he prepares to defend…

… the accused. Why be allowed to lie on behalf of the accused? Enlighten me or other wise we amend the law .

FIRST OF ALL MADAME WINA IT SHOULD START HERE IN ZAMBIA FIRST.BEING A PASTOR IS A VERY LUCRATIVE BUSSINESS HERE IN ZAMBIA WITH ALL THOSE FAKE PASTORS.

Let the wheat and tare grow together. What is fake with some pastor may be true to others. The God of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Moses and the six hundred thousand Jews worshiped on Saturday. Today some Christian worship on Saturday , others on Sunday. Their doctrines such as baptism, Lord Supper ,tithing system ,worship order, etc are different. We have Moslems, Hindus, Buddhism, Witchdoctors and Lenshinas in Zambians.
Who are practicing true religion or who are fake amongst us?
Do we need to all attend to the highly publicized House of Prayer spearheaded by Joshua Banda and Pukuta Mwanza?
Or is it fake when the Vice President say it? How about others opposition leaders like Nevers, Nawakwi or Winter?
My opinion is that GOD is the true judge in…

My opinion is that GOD is the true judge in these spiritual matters… Let us examine ourselves.
Have Zambians become more spiritual than the GOD of Israel that lead Moses and his team in the wilderness? Are we holier than Moses, Daniel, David and Peter?
Today we have the audacity to call others as Sa.tanist , Donkeys and cows?
Chishimba Kambwili said if JESUS was to stand in Southern Province, The people of Southern would vote for HH? Sad indeed… The Man chishimba never apologized…..PF for real before the eyes of GOD…

There is an unemployment in the country so these chaps are just repackaging water and oil and selling it. Whilst the bible encourages congregating, I can tell you its more wiser to congregate as a family at home and praying at home than going to these modern churches.

Gogo W is dull. Pf government is the worst government the world has ever had. it is not government’s responsibility to regulate the Church. Church is divine and state is circular.
