Zanaco battle to beat Zambia U17

Zambia Under-17 national team lost to FAZ Super Division champions Zanaco on Friday in a training game.

Zanaco Beat the 2017 Cosafa Under-17 Cup bound team 2-0 at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

But Zanaco had to wait until the last minutes of the match to secure the win.

Defender Andrew Kaliko put Zanaco ahead in the 82nd minute before midfielder Boyd Mwangelwa added the final goal in stoppage time.

Zambia Under-17 now prepare to head to Mauritius on Tuesday,July 18 ahead of the 2017 Cosafa U17 Cup that will be held on the Indian Ocean Island from July 21-31.

Zambia, who are also coached Zanaco trainer Mumamba Numba, are in Group B at the tournament where they will face Mozambique, Madagascar including record two-time winners and 2016 runners-up South Africa.

Mauritius also hosted the 2016 tournament won by Namibia.
