PF chair welcomes President Edgar Lungu who is flanked by Lusaka Province Chairlady Margaret Mumba shortly after his arrival from Lesotho at Kenneth Kaunda International AirportPRESIDENT Lungu has made some changes to the ruling party’s central committee with the appointment of former Livingstone member of Parliament (MP) Lawrence Evans as chairperson for Southern Province.

He has also appointed former Kantanshi MP Yamfwa Mukanga as chairperson for elections taking over from Mandevu MP Jean Kapata, who is now new Women Affairs chairperson.

This is according to a statement released yesterday by PF media director Sunday Chanda.

The President has appointed Ms Estella Phiri, the hitherto women chairperson, as Commissioner of Local Government.

Other changes include Munali MP Nkandu Luo who takes over from Dr John Phiri as chairperson for education following Dr Phiri’s appointment as High Commissioner to Malawi.

Non-central committee positions will be announced after the next central committee meeting on July 22.

PF Secretary General Davies Mwila has wished all those assigned new roles the best of success as the party repositions itself for better and improved service delivery to Zambians.

These PF dunderheads do not understand a thing or two about economics and exchange rates.

The gain in Kwacha is politically manipulated by Lungu. Lungu met Bank executives and instructed them to limit how much you can withdraw and how much you can send abroad;meaning access to dollar will be limited. These measures artificially lower the demand for US dollar hence the gain in Kwacha. These tactics were once used by Mugabe but when reality struck the Zim dollar disappeared completely. Very soon the kwacha will follow the Zim dollar to the grave because Id10t Lungu is aping Mugabe’s antics.

During Kk ‘s one party state the same controls were in place. People had to bid for dollar because the supply was limited by UNIP and its government;the same thing Lungu is coping. Only those…

Only those connected to UNIP had acess to it. These measures also made Kwacha look like it was doing well when infact it was worthless. The consequences of UNIP s actions were rampant shortages and hyper galloping inflation.

The signs of how useless a currency is can be only begin to show when food and commodity shortages start. This happened in Kk s era and in Mugabes era.

Ask Mutati, he will tell you that things are not ok as long as the Kwacha can not be allowed to float freely.

PF minions are mad. Lungu must be oust by any means possible before many innocent people die needlessly.

      Free HH.

What I have said has come to pass. I said Lungu will become a full blown doctator. It had come to pass. If Lungu is not removed Zambia will be worse than Zimbabwe; mark my words.

Those who follow me know what I am on about.

You can make all the changes internally you want but thr fact remains that lungu was not legally elected as president and is not recognised as such. Therefore whatever changes you make will not solve a single problem faced by Zambians. In other words the pf members and lungu are just like dead men. No use on earth. As for that cretin who has commented on comment 1 called terrible rat you say it’s an internal issue so why publish it for all to read. You are a retarded sewer cockroach

I recognise him elected President of the Republic of Zambia; and I shall without reservation recognise HH, Nawakwi, Kabimba and anyone else who will be elected and declared President of the Republic of Zambia in future.

Kwacha gained BUT why is Lungu looking for US$1.3bn from IMF to the extent that he is frustratedly insulting the lender (IMF)?

Why appointing people in those positions which are supposed to be elected. That’s dictatorship. Because those people won’t have power to oppose anything to the appointing authority.
Even in UPND they use same tactics.

@JM-That’s my point. There has to be a distinction cabinet positions and party positions. For the party they are elective positions and not appointments. For once all party presidents in Zambia go to a full convention where people are elective and not selected

Isaiah 53 : 1-5 1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
