Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda has saluted his charges for Sunday’s 2018 CHAN qualifier away victory over Swaziland.
Zambia routed Swaziland 4-0 at Lombanda in a CHAN 1st round,1st leg qualifier that saw them take a healthy advantage into the final leg this Saturday at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
“We played good football and dictated the game from the first whistle,”Nyirenda said.
“We took the chances precisely and by so doing I think we destabilized our opponents.”
Clatus Chama scored a brace starting with a 17th minute header before adding a 47th minute penalty that sandwiched Brian Mwila’s 26th minute goal.
Fackson Kapumbu fired in the final goal with an 81st minute free-kick.
Winner over both legs will be away in the final round, 1st leg qualifier to face either South Africa or Botswana on August 12.
South Africa head into their final leg at Moruleng Stadium on July 22 leading Botswana 2-0 from the first leg played in Francistown on July 15.
