Director General of the National Department of Health of South Africa Malebona Precious Matsoso has commended African First Ladies for working collectively in the fight against cancer in Africa.
Ms. Matsoso says the continent is aware of the immerse complexities facing the joint fight against all forms of cancer particularly because of the challenging twin epidemics such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
She was speaking last evening at the Sandton Hilton Hotel in Johannesburg South Africa during the welcome dinner of delegates attending the 11th Stop Cervical, Breast and Prostate cancer in Africa conference.
Ms. Matsoso stressed that it is disturbing that 70% of all cancer deaths and 40% of all new cancers world wide occurred in low and medium countries due to limited resources to prevent such deaths.
And Co-founder and Director General, forum of African first ladies-spouses against cervical, breast and prostate cancer Princess Nikky Onyeri thanked the countries who have continued showing commitment and supporting the fight against cancer.
Meanwhile, former First Lady Christine Kaseba says African countries need boldness and innovation within the continent to find lasting solutions in the fight against cancer.
Dr. Kaseba is representing First Lady Esther Lungu at the conference.
Precious Matsoso you are from a country where you have first LADIES ( plural).
Unlike Lungu who only knows his wife as the true source of love and like me who know Nick as my ONLY true source of love, I would suggest we are the best people to comment NOT YOU
Your statement is worthless to me
Kaseba missing the lime light
I can’t be surprised if Edgar forcefully and publicly announced that he was taking Kaseba for new wife. Edgar has continued shocking people with his behavior.
Shows how generous Esther is. Others would not have delegated. God bless you selfless lady.
Esther Lungu is indeed magnanimous, while she is pretty good with community work, she knows that Dr. Kaseba knows much for cancer because its her proffession. Viva Esther, I love you for this sincerity.
