    • The State needs a new crop of prosecutors. As things stand, the State are APPARENTLY only able to defeat tu ma chamba dealers and traffic offenders….

    • S.tupidity of the highest order from the Police. Why was Chishimba detained and denied bail? this abuse should end and all citizens should resist senseless police. The Commander in Chief needs to cleanse the Police …start by firing the IG and hire a professional

    • @Chale???? Where have you being, in jail? Please even HH do update us about his well being, please @Chale stay a FREE man we stand!
Today I rejoice for Saviour Chishimba and Chale.

    • Is it Patricia Scotland did these miracles this week? I praise Edgar Lungu too, to start pulling his lost soul back to us like @Chale.
      – Mwaliteta and friends are out…
      – Saviour Chishimba is free
I can’t wait for the main main innocent men at Mukobeko.
We need a rally, it has been long time since Zambians sang national anthem.

    • Farkin’ cowards abusing State institutions to settle personal scores.

Keith Mwemba would have torn you to shreds, ask Mwami 1 who has even run away from court pretending to be sick !! LOL

    • The government since 1964 with the most case withdrawals, nolle prosequi and court case losses is PF government. I now believe what people have always said about the calibre of people PF employs.

    • INSULTING THE PRESIDENT SHOWS BAD MAANERS.
AND THAT INCLUDES A LOT OF ILL-MANNERED UNCOUTHS ON THIS BLOG

    • @Nostradamus, Icalo Lifupa, shani guys. I’m still up and about, though I no longer have excessive time on my hands to stay rooted on LT as before. Once a while you will see me drop in to stay in tune with events at home. Anyhow, it’s nice to see I’m not the only die-hard blogger around.

Let’s continue to voice the rule of justice and help to uphold the peace in our country which we have enjoyed for so long. We must never throw away our identity and should forever be proud to be Zambians.

    • These ZP fooools and Lazy Lungu just wanted to fix him hence the reason they arrested him on Thursday pretended to be processing paperwork on Friday just to keep him in till Tuesday. This is just wrong!!

    • Abe Chale kool,
Good to see the real bloggers. We will fund raise from overseas for the party with a vision for the future. Not leaving unserviceable debt ati development. Otherwise good to hear you.

    • I believe it’s possible to criticize in a respectful manner. Chishimba was simply picked a to learn a lesson in respect. I hope his sobbing when Kambwili visited meant the lesson hit home!

    • S.tupidity of the highest order from the Police. Why was Chishimba detained and denied bail? this abuse should end and all citizens should resist senseless police. The Commander in Chief needs to cleanse the Police …start by firing the IG and hire a professional

    • How many more cases of abuse of authority to persecute and harass people will Zambians tolerate?

      This nonsense must stop now!

And those responsible must be held to account.

Lungu has deleted “free men we stand” from our National anthem since his stealing of the election.

  1. Does the police analyse an issue before rushing to arrest someone? What qualifications does one need to become a police officer in Zambia? This is embarrasing to the police an unfortunately to government also becouse some i.d.i.o.t.s are already linking this matter to PF.

  2. To in opposition should not mean defaming the head of state ,we want credible criticism which will benefit the nation, not insults bane, the days of going to prison before one becomes President are long gone, Zambians now know what they want ,be sensible. Help us monitor how our taxes are being used with facts not insults.

    • The police have made there point. Now he knows he can’t yap with impunity! KK would have “fixed” such people “properly”.

  3. If Savior is from Chinsali he must be a member of the Lenshina cult. However it’s good he’s been released. Too bad our law says you can’t insult the president. But like someone has said criticism is not an insult unless LT has not given us the full “text” of what Savior said.

    • We must legalize insults! Leaders who are poor at listening to good advice deserve insults to help them get back on track. That goes to all those who abuse our master-Servant relationship we have with those we elect. Our leaders are our servants and not the other way round. That is the reason politicians kneel before crowds when asking for our votes. Can a master insult their servants? Yes! When our servants can’t stand constructive criticism and take it as insults, we can as well legalize the two. Citizens have every right to hold their leaders accountable and leaders must always remember they are servants and not masters! Citizens will always resort to insults when leaders choose to be bad, self-centered and stiff necked!

  4. Amazing, do we have any civil rights lawyers, its time to stand up and be counted. If chishimba has no money, take the case pro bono. And can the powers that be take a second look at our law enforcement institution and the decision makers there

  5. Uyu Jonathan Lungu aya Sana!!
A little scared Tin pot Dictator, using his stinking corrupt PFolice to fix those with opposing views, or anyone exposing his corrupt practices.
What does one really expect from a leader who is advised by parasites like Chimpyongo, Kaiser,& big gob Mumbi??
Jona should remember he won’t be in power forever, & he will answer for this illegal abuse of office, & power.

  6. With the kind of our ZP and Prosecution there is just plenty of comedy of errors. Had I the power to appoint, would have carried out a complete overhaul of the top current crop. They are failing us and letting us down.

  7. If Saviour Chishimba was Tonga like HH he would have been charged with Treason and Jailed for a long. Fearing a Bemba backlash they have released without charge. Thanks to Zuma, Obasanjo and Patricia Scotland for restraining Lungu. Dr Chishimba should sue for wrongfully arrest and detention. Maybe blind Jonathan is beginning to see some light after the SG’s Law Lecture on Good Governance and Rule of Law.

  8. But it does not make sense. If they can discontinue a case on a matter with those utterances ninshi we should all go out of control with our mouths. This matter needed to go to court. Only the court could have shade more light on such language. Awe, pa.Z!!!

    • Lazy Lungu is a fooool that is not an insult…if he wants insults let him go and take questions from farmers who will forced to sell their maize to FRA for peanuts!!

  9. ZP act before thinking, they arrest you and then try to fit a charge on you.
Non of their sh!tty charges could fit Chishimba

  10. 8 days in detention and all they do is “discontinue”? If he was an employee he would be fired for absenteeism, if he had a business deal it would be long gone.. Surely someone must compensate the man for taking away 8 days of his life.. Arresting people with impunity just because you want to patronize power has no place in a police service.. Zed Police Force in full swing!

    • Thats Zambia for you …after being airlifted from a studio by plain clothes officers who did not identify themselves.
I hope people start suing these fooools!!

    • And they use the same “police” officers! I think these are just PF cadres who have been co-opted into the police force and given high positions because they are useful i.d.iots! Journalists and good cops should investigate these crooks and shed some light on their nefarious activities! Starting with the IG, down to the rank of Inspector, these crooks are worthless and must be sued by every citizen they harass!

  11. kanshi what is the definition criticism? if you call some a person monkey or say, ‘te chalo cha nyina’ is that criticism? Even if you deal with criticism there is constructive and distructive criticism. We all need constructive criticism…

  12. The Commonwealth Secretary’s meetings with so-called rulers of Zambia is beginning to yield fruit. So we can be very sure HH will be found with no treason case to answer! It was all concocted in the mind of a chronic drunkard. You could tell that the SC was very much conscious the Zambian leadership is retarded and incredibly stup!d. A minor traffic infringement (which lungu’s security personnel was responsible for in the first place) suddenly becomes a treasonable offence! You could also tell the SC felt that dealing with the Zambian leadership (lungu) was like dealing with a five year old not so clever kid.

  13. The rot in ZPS, the Judiciary and DPP began when PF and Lungu started politicizing these Institutions. ECZ, ZPS, Concourt and GRZ in general has been infiltrated by ill trained PF Cadres and Thugs. Lungu cannot transform himself into a Gentleman until he sacks criminal advisers like Kaiser Zulu, Kampyongo, Amos Chanda, Kakoma Kanganja, Mumbi Phiri etc. The reform process between ECL and HH will never succeedv until Jonathan gets rid of his Criminal Advisers and Election Riggers. The Ball is in Jonathan’s Court and SADC, Commonwealth and the entire world’s eyes are on Zambia and Lungu in particular.

  14. We must legalize insults! Leaders who are poor at listening to good advice deserve insults to help them get back on track. That goes to all those who abuse our master-Servant relationship we have with those we elect. Our leaders are our servants and not the other way round. That is the reason they kneel before crowds when asking for our votes.

  15. You need to sue the IG for wrongful arrest. The goons are abusing the so called state of emergency to clamp down on deserting views. The DPP is a huge disgrace of modern times. She should be called PF-P.

  16. The so-called PF police spokeswoman is not being truthful by saying ‘we have released him, we have decided to discontinue the case’. The fact is Lungu ordered the PF police to arrest Chishimba and has now ordered them to release him. Shame on you!

  17. PSMD should fire the officer from Planning section who was found bathing herbs at provincial administration in Choma just to get a position from a substantive officer transferred from Mongu. We have been seeing him in Lusaka trying to coerce some wicked senior officers to give him a position. Please the civil service has procedures and PSMD should not be compromised by selfish individuals for their personal gain .

  18. This guy might be a semi god. He cannot be sued, questioned, insulted or defamed. He can screw your wife and claim that it done in the name of the republic. Jonathan Edward is one powerful man!

  19. This is a typical case of President Lungu wanting to use state machinery to intimidate his rivals. The idea is to send a message that you will be locked up if you argue with the president. What kind of a country have we become?

    • Yes, and what was done to him was also disgusting! People, respect goes both ways. If the president uses the insulting words on his opponents, he should not cry when others use the same words on him. @Ayatollah, don’t be a one sided, biased person. You should cry foul whenever this language is used, including by yourself!

  20. I alluded to this only yesterday. Charging perceived opponents without any chance of success. Only to punish and persecute through incarceration for periods of time – including using the opportunity of archaic laws that should have been abolished in the yester years. Waste of resources as well. There is a need to revamp the laws, police, judiciary and rid the country of primitive PF politics.

  21. We seriously need to retrain our police officers and prosecutors. We cannot have this syndrome of arresting people and then freeing/releasing them before they even appear in court or indeed if they do appear in court we fail to prosecute them and end up with the infamous ”nolle prosequi” !

  22. Some of these people at the DPP chambers will one day be dragged to court yard to explain who has been instructing the to arrest innocent people and putting the police cells full of sh^t. Mark my words the names Kais* , Ed&ar and Amos will be that list .
