DIV 1 WARP: Kitwe United fail to reclaim top spot

Share

Kitwe United missed a chance to go top of the FAZ Division 1 Zone 2 table after forcing a 2-2 draw at ZNS Lwamfumu in Mansa on Sunday.

The Buchi Boys gave away the lead twice to draw against Lwamfumu in this Week 21 match played at Kaole Stadium.

Kitwe, who moved to 40 points after playing 21 matches, failed to take advantage of leaders Kansanshi Dynamos’ absence from the weekend action.

Kansanshi, who sits on 41 points, will only play their delayed Week 21 match against Gomes on Wednesday away in Ndola.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Indeni moved into second place on better goal difference after thumping Chambishi 2-0 in Ndola.

Djunese Kanda and Tiki Chiluba scored the goals for the Allan Kamwanga coached side.

The Oil Men have 40 points from 21 matches played.

FQM Roads remained fourth on the table after edging Geokas Curve 1-0 away at Garden Park Stadium in Kitwe.

Promoted Roads have 34 points from 21 matches played.
