Vice President Inonge Wina (c) arrives at Mongu Airport yesterday for the Commissioning of the Connection of North-Western Province and Lukulu District to the Zesco National Grid.
Vice President Inonge Wina has challenged those claiming to have evidence on corruption in government to submit their facts to the Anti-Corruption Commission-ACC.

Mrs. Wina says some Members of Parliament and other stakeholders have been claiming to have evidence of alleged corrupt activities which they have not submitted to the authorities.

The Vice President says fighting corruption is not only Government’s responsibility but a responsibility for all citizens.

Mrs. Wina was responding to a question from Mafinga Member of Jacob Siwale during the Vice President’s question time this morning.

Mr. Siwale asked the Vice President what government was doing to people claiming to be in possession of evidence leading to alleged corrupt government dealings.

And Mrs. Wina says fighting corruption should not be used for political acrimony but endorsing sanity in the country.

She says President Edgar Lungu is addressing the current alleged corruption activities in public offices.

Mrs. Wina adds that this is why the Head of State challenged people with evidence in the procurement of fire tenders to give evidence to the ACC.

Meanwhile, Mrs Wina says Government has mobilised resources to address the prevailing influx of asylum seekers in some parts of Luapula Province.

Mrs. WINA says the continuous entrance of asylum seekers has remained a challenge but that government remains vigilant to address the problem.

The Vice President was responding to Kaputa Member of Parliament Maxas Ng’onga who wanted to know what measures Government has put in place to address the high number of refugees entering the country.

  1. Ba Inonge needs to retire and become a Nacimbusa. We need women leaders not just decorations receiving flowers everyday.

    • Mama Wina,

I have respect for you. Please do not insult us with your comments. How many people have been convicted for corruption since you and Jonathan took over? Are you telling us there is no corruption in Zambia? The ACC are collecting their salaries every month for doing what exactly? You have largely stayed silent on this matter because you know your colleagues are corrupt. Rise above all this and just do your job quietly. Or maybe Jonathan has asked you to make a statement on this issue?

      We have had enough.

Please tell your friends to pay back the money they have stolen, and leave office. They can take their wheelbarrows on their way out.

      #bringbackourmoney

    • Its NOT us! Edgar Lungu said some of his ministers are corrupt are you now challenging your boss to take that information to ACC or are you saying he is lying like on many other things?
Have you ever wondered why zambia is so expensive yet it is just another 3rd world poor country?
Go to any boutique and look at the clothes on sale chinese poor quality but more than British prices. Why? people just put up prices anyhow. We expect a listening pro poor government to look into the concerns of the people. The fire tenders are too expensive the dual carriageway is overpriced what do you do instead? ask us to provide evidence!
You are incharge! is this the best value for money?

    • BO MA INONGE SHOULD JUST KEEP QUITE OR BRUSH ASIDE SUCH SENTIMENTS. WHO DOESNT KNOW LUNGU IS PROTECTING HIS BUNCH OF CORRUPT MPS BECAUSE HE IS ALSO CORRUPT. WE WILL ALSO ASSUME YOU ARE BENEFITTING FROM DEALS IN THIS CORRUPT GOVERNMENT. DONT FORGET YOUR TIME TO ACCOUNT FOR ALL THAT IS FAST APPROACHING.

    • A bad public relations stunt, if you ask me. We heard this from Chiluba when his ministers were being accused of corruption. But did the call for evidence and shielding of corrupt ministers help the image of Chiluba’s government? No, it did not. It showed lack of political will to fight corruption. Chiluba’s government lost so much popularity that when he tried to go for a third term people simply said they had had enough of him and showed him the exit. This is what is likely to happen to Edgar Lungu’s government because it has decided to become intolerant of opposed views and clearly lacks political will to fight corruption. We may ask how many cases of corruption have been prosecuted under Lungu’s rule. The the answer is clearly none.

    • Jonathan Chaima (his new name after the day of prayer) is the biggest corrupt thing ever and will go down in history as that. BLESS HIM.

    • This Old Hen is obsolete, a disgrace a mere token …happy to take orders from a useless chap like Lazy Lungu. The Hen has absolutely nothing to lose standing up to this rot!!

    • Does she know that the OP has veto over any ACC case? It can disappear at a phone call from OP, no questions asked. This is the type of rule we are against.

  2. Q.1)HOW did President Lungu acquire more than 21 million (rebased) Kwacha in twelve months of being Republican President?

Q.2) WHY did Govt knowingly pay USD$ 1million to purchase each Fire Truck which in actual fact is worth only a third of that? Where did the change go?

    • Answer to Question 2 is Zambians are a docile people…it was all out there when this company won the tender for a whooping $49 million, no one complained even on LT very few people noticed.

    • This PF at best;
Sources at State House revealed that Sata told Chikwanda on Wednesday night that it was easier for him to protect his uncle from possible prosecution while serving as Cabinet Minister unlike when he was an ordinary citizen.
The source said President Sata has intelligence reports from the parallel structure on how Chikwanda, Bank of Zambia governor Dr. Michael Gondwe and his Deputy Dr. Bwalya N’gandu met some representatives of foreign companies at 8 Reedbuck a Lodge in Lusaka’s Kabulonga area before the tender was even advertised.
The source said Sata used this information including reports that Chikwanda has interest in one of the emerging Copper Mines to blackmail Chikwanda and stopping him from resigning.
The source said Chikwanda is also alleged to have been…

    • Continued…
The source said Chikwanda is also alleged to have been lobbying investors to invest in Appolo Park a company he owns at the detriment of government. Further, the President reminded Chikwanda that he influenced ZANACO to appoint his daughter in-law Chimango Chikwanda as Director of Human resources when the bank did not advertise the position and Chimango did not apply.
Chimango is married to Bweembya Chikwanda who is commercial director at Lafarge Cement.
“He told Chikwanda that his enemies in government can easily prosecute him on all these allegations if he was outside government as it would be difficult for the President to protect him and this is not the first time Chikwanda has resigned. He has before buy you guys did not pick it up” a source said.

  3. The best is still to report the issue to ACC to exert more pressure on ACC. Whether we like it or not ACC still remains a constitutional Body (at least for now) to deal with corruption in the country. Talking from outside will only amount to noise.

    • The ACC is probably THE MOST CORRUPT constitutional body in Zambia! They are getting their share of the LOOTING! All appointed by Jonathan to help him hide his STEALING!

Why report corruption to them? Next you will be arrested on trumped up charges to keep you quiet! Look how Tyali has changed his tune since he spent a weekend in JAIL!

Simple fact. HOW MANY PROSECUTIONS HAVE THEY TAKEN TO COURT????? NONE !!!!!

    • Zambians have to wake up …ACC is toothless especially when State House is involved, how do you expect your Guard Dog to bite you even if you climb your own fence. You have to tackle governance issues first…wake up and learn from the Kenyans!!

  4. ACC is PF just like the electrical commission. Evidence is the fear that you have. You don’t like to be criticized or questioned instead you use violence and bribery to suppress the opponents. Your culture of violence will consume you some day. Hinter thought he was a smart man. PF leadership, your end will be terrible.

  5. ” She says President Edgar Lungu is addressing the current alleged corruption activities in public offices…”

Lungu respond to kambwili who says you are a theif…….

  6. why was gbm tender at zesco cancelled. u5 finds nothing wrong with gbm.

i hear u5 has promised to handle over power to this ruthless illiterate after his term.

the good news to zambia is that the country is divided 3 against 7.

u5 will die bitter in spite of the resources he plumbered

    2021 he will lose

    2026 he will lose

2031 he will mantain his tribal vote

why is it that u5 has no counselor in lsk yet he claims he won in 2016

    u5 is illusionist

    • Hehehehe ……

we want to know where lungu got $2.3 million in 1 year in office….stop trying to deflect our attention….

  8. I think our country has been ripped off. Yes we can report cases to the EL appointed ACC, if there are disagreements the cases would then go to EL appointed concourt. Tafili bwino. Sometimes I wonder what the Supreme Court judges are doing nowadays. How did we really get here? May judge Chulu can help us answer this question.

  9. ECL has one of the easiest jobs of any head of state in the world ,he is not subjected to a question and answer session for the president in parliament, he does not do press conferences for a question and answer session he only answers questions prepared by amos chanda and rehearsed on arrival and departure at kki,smk or hmn airports.
Powers enjoyed by the crown as copied (cut and pasted)from the british.

  10. Don’t listen to losers! “Corruption cry” is synonymous to “I wish a Tonga was in the House!” It is a tribal cry but since they can’t tell you that they cry with, “Corruption!” Goodness HH is not electable.

  11. Its a very simple instruction. Dont believe in Dr Toilet Kambwili who seems not to have evidence. The other 1d10t promised a ‘mother of all corruption press conferences’ only to talk about bank accounts with no proof. Bane, in law its not about how much you know but how much you can prove !

    • Yes that is why there is a law called deformation of character…….we challenge lungu to sue those calling him a theif….

How can a leader be comfortable being called a theif every day ?

  12. ACC is an organ that does nothing just wasting tax payers money.Until this organ will have all workers elected or appointed through parliament,it will continue being useless.Ba Inonge na dimentia yalitampa. How can people report cases of corruption to ACC which is run by Chagwa and you?people are not dumb they know you will do nothing about it.The best way guys is to keep yapping through social media.

  13. A chinese man reporyed kaeizer zulu to the ACC andvpolice for defrauding him of $250k to arrange a meeting with lungu…..lungu directed the ACC and police to discontinue the case….

  14. JELOUSY. IF YOU THINK ECL STOLE, GIVE THE COURT EVIDENCE, ONE BY ONE HOW THE PLAN TO STEAL WAS MOOTED AND HOW MUCH WAS STOLEN EVERY TIME. INSTEAD OF MAKING UNSUBSTANTIATED NOISE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. DO NOT BE A COWARD. THE “STOLEN VOTES” STORY HAS NOT WORKED SO YOU ARE LOOKING FOR STRAWS TO CLING ON.

    • Let lungu sue kambwili for calling him a theif.. ….how can a leader be comfortable being called a theif everyday ??

  15. There is no leader, elected or not, in the entire world who is comfortable with being labbeled as a theif every day like lungu is………it makes you wonder maybe the man is a theif after all….

  16. I hope that that bouquet of flowers was handed to her by the boy – it is time we had ladies receiving flowers at airports from boys and men from girls.

  17. With due respect for Mama Inonge Wina, please do not use Kampyongo and president Lungu’s language. It is not the duty of people to be frequenting anticorruptuon offices to tell them about what is in public donain. It is the duty of anticorruption to follow matters if interest that people have been talking about. We pay tax for DEC and Anticorruption Commission employees to get paid. Its not enough for them to sit in those offices and wait for Kambwili to go and tell them to wake up and fight corruption. We do not pay them to wait for President Lungu to instruct them to sort out Kambwili then they become active. Mama Wina, president Lungu is in no way fighting corruption but he has performed extremely well promoting and shielding corruption. Mama Wina, you are a respected Veep, do not…

    • You want acc to act on hearsay rather rumours. People scream anyhow and fabricate anything only to smear mud at you. Upnd claimed Maureen had evidence about ballots dumped in the bin but when matters came up Maureen refused never to have said that. Another good example is Kambwili who was being accused of corruption by upnd but when he got sucked upnd u turned and claimed ck is clean and they are now worshiping him. Gbm also was being exposed by upnd but he is their veep now a clean and corrupt free man. Who told us that someone rose from selling dogs on streets to minister. Bane lodge your evidence officially if you want acc to take action. Your claims is the same as police arresting a suspect without a docket been opened about that prison. Muyopa chani. You’ve been challenged to…

    • @ little d1ck head

there are 42 million dollars worth of evidence you f*cked parasitic 1mbecile. That is USD 42 Million of Zambian Peoples money, not Parasitic Failures own money.

  18. Ovalhead,
Your president Mr Chagwa acted on hearsay on Kambwili. Let him do thr same on corrupts chaps namely Mrs Nukula Tree the baptist, Bowan Punch master and Kampyo former Kaponya.

  19. Amazing politician bo ma ba sha. However in parliament you referred to the civil servants retired in national on tribal grounds as being partisan. On that you were wrong and you truly disappointed. We looked to you for motherly fairness. Some of the affected are your grand children. What was done was very wrong and immoral and divisive

    • This old witch watched as a young woman was stripped naked for wearing UPND on labour day , right in front of her….she said nothing, not a word.

  20. “…Act of Parliament, the Corrupt Practices Act No. 14. This Act has over the years been reviewed in a bid to strengthen the anti-corruption legislation. In 2012, the Anti-Corruption Act No 3 was enacted following the repealing of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 38 of 2010. As the lead institution in the fight against corruption in Zambia, the Commission is geared to professionally execute its mandate through investigations and prosecutions of suspected offenders; establish corruption prevention mechanisms; mobilise support and enlighten the citizenry of Zambia through community education programs. Join the fight against corruption for a better Zambia. Reject, Resist, Report Corruption..”
MADAM INONGE M. WINA, WHAT DOES THE WORDS ‘INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE SUSPECTED OFFENDERS’ MEAN TO…

  21. We reported the corruption to ACC, the Human rights, even to Parliament, but they did nothing about it. Makebi Zulu and his Advocates stealing of my motor vehicle and manufacturing vexatious suits as money laundering methods together with 10 other Advocates. Gilbert Phiri stealing of my Jeep Grand Cherokee and household goods in abuse and members of the judiciary stealing of my out door furniture imported from Austrasia,Mugabe all not been criminally prosecuted. Yet I sent a summons and Cgarge sheet to the DPP. They are immorally and inhumanely riding like insane or I be ice horses in my vehicles and they are not going taken to book. IG Kakoma’s illegally with holding if my ZP benefits and conspiracy in killing my daughter have all been compounded. We need answers’

  22. Bo Inonge, you tell your bandits to bring my vehicles back. I never stole like most of them. I worked so hard for both Zambia and the UN, then you embarrassingly look on as they pillage me in abuse of state machinery. Shame.

There is wicked jeolousy aid it’s your people which ought to be accounted for.mommitions and acts, mincluding dereliction of duty leading to gross violations of others rights is sickening and constitutes crimes against humanity. Escaping from responsibilities is the norm in Zambia. Please stop compounding felonies.

  23. True, those with evidence that we are in October and the distribution of farming inputs hasn’t started should provide evidence to Veep so that action can be taken, otherwise Govt can’t do anything.

  24. Simple evidence example where is the Eurobond money for ZR? how has rest the rest of the money been spent? Could we get some clear answers? Next, Auditor generals reports are published every year and we all know what comes out. Is anyone taking responsibility? I do not think the so called veep qualifies to hold that position. If you do not agree with my statement please explain here by giving even a single example when she demonstrated leadership and not some kind of knee-jerk ad-hoc reaction eg her Lusaka city market burning pre-investigation reaction

  25. The biggest problem is we bark like dogs on social media and let the chikochi (caravan) go… How many of us bloggers have really taken corruption evedence to the ACC? I think we should start doing that. I sincerely believe that there is huge corruption in government but I only have circumstantial evidence. I challenge people like Dr Kambwili to help us to protect our country by taking their allegations further
