Armed police officers in Lusaka have raided opposition UPND secretariat to look for alleged hidden weapons.

The police surrounded the party’s secretariat and went straight into the premises where they demanded to search the area without first disclosing what it is they were looking for.

The staff then insisted that the search be conducted in the presence of the lawyers, who were immediately called to attend to the situation.

Shortly afterwards, lawyers Chad Muleza, Nathaniel Inambao and Marshall Muchende arrived at the office.

Mr Muleza told Journalists that police are searching for concealed weapons in the secretariat.

  1. What kind of reporting is this? Are you going to tell us if weapons were found or not? … if the story and update is still continuing, you say so… yaba!!

  2. DID THEY FIND WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR? WHY IS LUNGU STAYING AS THOUGH HE IS IN A PROSTITUTION HOUSE WHERE HE IS SEARCHING FOR HIS WIFE TAKEN BY ANOTHER MAN?

  3. A las nail in the coffin of reconciliation. There’s no trust between Government and UPND. Where there’s no trust, there can never be reconciliation. Or are they trying to divert attention from the scandals. I think ni ma jealousy because HH was awarded a prestigious award which he is picking up in South Africa.

  4. Kanganja is slowly eroding all of ECL’s good credentials.
What weapons can the Supreme leader Ayatollah Akainde have? He’s a coward who’s never held a gun

  5. Undoubtedly this search has got the blessings of the higher “personnel”. We shall certainly get to the bottom of it all sooner or later.

  6. Marshall Muchende wih such names of lawyers CAN UPND win any case sure because the lawyer’s name is an insult already.

    • God is steadly pushing his watch. So let us wait and see how the engineers of this foolishness will begin scampering in all directions. Time is coming and indicators have started showing. Not all days remain the same. The police have no problem. They are carrying out all such instructions against their wish.

  7. And if UPND had illegal armaments they would be hiding them in their secretariat. Bwahahahaha! Awe MWe intelligence Inangu!

  8. Lungu waba kunda banyina
THIS MAN IS GOING TO HELL AND YOU JUST WASTE YOUR TIME ABUSING AND TEASING GOD ON 18th October.

  9. Lungu man of GOD jealous will kill u my president.just bcoz hh has been invited to speak in uk,u now show your true colours of hatred against him.i m not judging but HELL awaits u nothing else.

  11. Pathetic police. How far did they go with the gym case where they alleged to have found weapons? Who has been charged for the stage managed abduction in Namwala. IG should resign. He has no capacity to run the office

  12. @anyoko. Muchende is not an insult iwe mbuli iwe. If it’s an insult in your thieving language, that’s your problem. Kholwe…!!

  13. @19 Ba Pushi, so it is true and you are confirming? That the other people are bemba monkeys, in a maize field? But where does that place your vice president, or he is àbeing used for his fat?!

  14. But why is that all upnd lawyers are tongas or bantustans?
ZAMBIANS IN 6.5 PROVINCES OPEN YOUR EYES!!HH IS ON TRIBAL CRUSADE!!!!NEVER VOTE FOR TRIBAL KAINDE!!!
lets maintain PF in power until HH retires from local politics!!HH’s love for tribalism is in white and black for all with eyes to see!!!
AS FOR ZP,THEY WERE JUST DOING THEIR DAILY JOB.SO NO NEED TO BLAME THEM!!

  15. I pity myself and the other residents of Provident Street who are always inconvenienced by the activities in this street. If it is not cadres blocking off the street, then it is the police in full riot gear. Why does the largest opposition party have headquarters in a house on a street in a residential area??? Nonsense!!!

  16. @Jossie Mwala .. Does it matter where UPND have their HQ? You should rather be discussing the despicable behaviour of your pathetic PF and its use of the state machinery to exorcise ghosts which it only can see. Always running away from the issues that matter for the country and wasting resources on primitive paranoia, vendetta and persecution of the main opposition party.
