COSAFA U20: Champions Zambia face Uganda in Group A opener

Zambia’s opener at the 2017 COSAFA Under-20 Championship will be against guests Uganda at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on December 6.

Kick off is at 17h30.

Holders and hosts Zambia will tackle nemesis Malawi two days later at the same venue before wrapping up Group A action against Swaziland at Nkana Stadium on December 11.

The top teams in each group advance to the semifinals along with the best-placed runner-up.

The regional junior competition will get under way earlier on December 6 when Swaziland take on Malawi at 11h30.

Meanwhile, last year’s runners-up South Africa must contend with North African guests Egypt, Mozambique and Mauritius in Group B.

Group C has Angola, Lesotho, Namibia and Zimbabwe vying for top spot.

Matches will be played at the Arthur Davies and Nkana stadiums in Kitwe.

  1. Zambia has managed to host junior competitions successfully we are yet to host the big one.the organisers should invite teams from west Africa
