Opposition National Democratic Congress Spokesperson Erick Chanda has revealed that Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili will run for the republican presidency under the NDC ticket in the 2021 general elections.
Mr Chanda said only Mr Kambwili has the political muscle and stamina to beat the PF in the 2021 elections.
He said the combined force of Mr Kambwili and party Secretary General Mwenya Musenge will dismantle the PF in the next general elections.
Mr Chanda was speaking on Tuesday morning when he featured on the Let the People Talk radio programme on Radio Phoenix along with Mr. Musenge.
He clarified that Mr Kambwili is currently operating as a Consultant for the NDC because he does not want to cause a by election in Roan Constituency.
“As a caring leader, he is alive to the fact that the treasury is dry and causing a by election because he doesn’t agree with Edgar (President Edgar Lungu) will be very irresponsible of him. He is working as a Consultant so that we can continue to represent his people in Parliament and help our party defeat the PF,” Mr Chanda said.
He said he has faith in Mr Kambwili’ and Mr Musenges abilities to deliver because he has closely worked with them.
“I have seen what Comrade Kambwili and Comrade Musenge can do and this is why I have offered my services. These two don’t ever fail to complete what they have started. The Consultant is our candidate for 2021 and so it is Kambwili only for 2021,” Mr Chanda said.
Mmmm… Now things are getting very interesting. Looks like UPND and PF have a new challenger, time to “up” the games!

Chishimba is a strong contender. At present, he is likely to do very well in Copperbelt, some parts of Lusaka, Northern and Luapula provinces. What this is likely to do in the interim is propel HH to State House once the Copperbelt vote is split. After that, the “Bemba-aligning” provinces will shun the PF and move NDC.
There is only one thing that is common in the genesis of PF and NDC: The Bemba/Kapwepwe revolutions.
The ranting man and the running man are an impossible mission. They will now give Koswe more options and avenues for rigging.
Ba Kambwili, just work with UPND and flush the Koswes out, if you decide to go ahead and stand, you will split the votes and turn the Zambian wheels backwards. Why can’t you learn from the past?

Personally I think Kambwiri is just a clown and our country has already stumbled under Nyama Soya, the Cobra, Under 5 (rightly kept away) and ECL. Out of the 4, I would vote for ECL any day! The focus is to defeat PF. Nothing to do with improving people’s lives. No manifesto, the only ideology motivating Zambian opposition is to defeat PF. UPND prepare for swearing in. NDC and PF will never penetrate your stronghold and so they will share the areas were you are weak. This is nothing but the split of PF.
Following your logic it means UPND Will drastically reduce votes in Luapula,Northern,Muchinga,Copperbelt,Eastern &Lusaka because they will be coming a distant third while they will lead in their strong holds and PF will be second there and still come first in PF strong holds so UPND still loses the national vote…To beat a ruling party it has to be a knock out and this is an analysis VJ would give and then you would accuse him of rigging and yet the trend is clear…
No Zakeyo, he means UPND will lead and what PF got in last year’s election will be split into two. E.g PF got 9000 votes in Luapula, UPND got 7000. So UPND will get their 7000 while PF and NDC will share the 9000.

To prove my point, just Google. You will discover that “California University FCE” actually does exist as a private, for-profit school. But it is listed as “Beverly Hills RC School”, doing business as “California University FCE”. It is listed by the California State Board of Education as a K1 school with 30 students enrolled in 2016. In the USA, elementary education institutions are listed by their grade specialization. A “K12” school is one that offers education from Kindergarten (nursery school) through grade 12. A “K1” school like “California University FCE”, therefore, is one that offers education from Kindergarten (nursery school) through grade one. This in effect means Honorable Chishimba Kambwili obtained his honorary doctorate from a nursery school!

NDC Chishimba Kambwili and PF Edgar Lungu are the same people, they have only differed in sharing the proceeds from national plunder and corruption. Both deserve to be in jail.
The problem with political jokers is that they get elected. History has proven this correct. Look at Michael Sata and Donald Trump. I never imagined that Sata or Trump would win but they did both on a rhetorical ticket. If Chishimba stands then he will split the the PF vote. Which will make it impossible for any of the candidates to have a 50 per cent plus one. This will mean a re-run. I can assure you that in case of a re-run those who supported Kambwili will vote for PF even if Kambwili went into a pact with HH. Don’t ask me why because if you have been following Zambian politics you should understand why.

Leadership crisis in Zambia steams from the constant suppression and closures of the highest institutions of learning. Zambia is producing experts in corruption rather than gallant men and women striving to make the country better. When you have men are women driven by politics of the belly and the fact that it’s okay for people in high positions to make irrational decisions and mistakes dilute the caliber of leaders required to take us out of our mess. President Mwanawasa worked tirelessly to reverse the fortunes of our country but it only took two years of PF to destroy all that hard work. Now the likes of kambwili feel confident enough to lead this country.
We keep recycling leaders in the naive hope that they will do better this time than they have 5 times before.Thus progress for us remains a pipe dream. We should learn how to dispose of rubbish.
