Welcome to the second instalment of the 2018 CHAN Group B Watch where we update you on how Zambia’s opponents at preparing for the Morocco tournament.
COTE d’IVOIRE
Ex-Ivoirian defender Kolo Toure will be part of The Elephants bench at the 2018 CHAN that Morocco will host from January 12 to February 4.
Toure will be assistant coach Kamara Ibrahim.
Meanwhile,Cote d’Ivoire head to Tunisia for a two-week transit camp starting on January 4 just after submitting their final 23-member team for the tournament on the January 3 CAF deadline.
Cote d’Ivoire and Zambia will meet on match-day-two on January 18 in Marrakesh.
UGANDA
Uganda, who entered camp on December 24 in Kampala, have confirmed two pre-2018 CHAN warm-up matches.
Uganda will play fellow finalists Congo-Brazzaville on January 6 and Cameroon on January 8.
Both those friendly’s will be played in Morocco in what will be new Uganda coach Sebastien Desabre first games in charge following his appointment on December 26.
The Frenchman will be assisted by Mathias Lule whose Uganda U20 team beat 2017 COSAFA U20 Cup hosts Zambia 2-0 during the tournament held in Kitwe in December.
Uganda will leave for Morocco on January 4.
The Cranes will face Zambia in both sides opening Group B match on January 14 in Marrakesh.
