Augustine Mulenga has confirmed that Morocco giants Wydad Casablanca have approached him.

The Zanaco midfielder is Zambia’s star man at the ongoing 2018 CHAN tournament that Morocco is hosting from January 13 to February 4.

“That is what my agent tells me that Wydad Casablanca want my services so I don’t know if it will happen because I think the Morocco transfer window is closed,” Mulenga said.

Mulenga is Zambia’s topscorer at 2018 CHAN with three goals.

  1. Why would you think of joining African club, ZANACO is also a good club in Africa. Unless you are after small amount of money. If you Agent thinks thats a good offer, you should fire him. Think of Europe and Africa or China.

  2. Don’t you ever sign – look at what these North African teams have done to Emmanuel Mayuka …you’ll come back a garbage .

  3. Why do Zambian footballers rate themselves so lowly and don’t have high aspirations, they all want to play in North Africa, South Africa, China, or some lowly placed European Country, but never Spain, France Germany, Holland, Italy, and surely not the UK

    • Simply, they are not material worth to play in Germany and the other countries you mentioned. Even the great Kalu did not play in those countries. Mayuka tried and failed in UK

    • Fred Mwila Snr played in England. Mbesuma played in England (Portsmouth). Dennis Lota was close to playing for Leicester. Mayuka played for Southampton. Not bad for Zambia

  4. Please drop the Wydad idea. There will be offers from Europe by the end of the tournament.
North Africa has not worked for most Zambian players, take care of yourself , don’t be too hurried. The Lord will give you wisdom

  5. Everyone who has commented above is right. This guy is a great player with a lot of potential. He won’t grow at these clubs, he is better to accept only European club offers. He has so much potential and he needs teams that can nurture this

  6. This guy is 28 with very limited football time in his legs, and if you take a good look at the team’s selection, very old,so they don’t have the balance of time on there side.So Mulenga should not waste any time in picking up a team

  7. Do you think Zambian players should be taking themselves to Europe?am sure they would all love to play in UK,Spain,Germany, etc but clubs from there do not come for them so they have no option but to go make some extra money in China or other African countries.Augustine Mulenga is now 28 yrs old,so he needs to move abroad urgently to make a pension for his family before its too late.Zanaco cant pay him a k10 000 salary a month but less while a South African or North African club could pay him US$6000 or more per month-which is not a bad salary!!football is business.

  8. You are just going to finish off there young man. Take your time and gain more experience with the club that has developed you to where you have reached. In time you will find a better club that will add to value to and improve your skills. Don’t go to Casablanca.

  9. Let him concentrate on doing his very best during the tournament, discussing transfers etc at this time is a distraction!

Plenty of time for that after we lift the trophy, focus!…

    • At 28, he has 5-7yrs to end his caceer .. Let him join any club that will pay him more than what he is receiing now. Big European clubs are interested in young players.

  10. you are very near to the Antarctic circle, wait a little bit, you might just cross the Mediterranean sea and land in Portugal or Spain.

  11. Age is a factor here,i wouldn’t like to see him get finished in Zambia without any money to fall back on,Football is business at his age its time to make money otherwise he will end up being a destitute if he wastes just 3 More years, yes you say mayuka is finished aleast he has made money for himself,if he never moved he would be a player with no money by now,but the boy has money now mukupwa kwakwe,so let him make money before he is old.Look at Kalengo yes he is finished but he has made money were he went because he had no Luxury of year to be wasting at zesco and get little money, now he is back at zesco atleast with money for his family.
