  1. Please EMERSON Concetrate on UNIFYING ZIMBABWE AND winning 2019 elections, if u join the bridge project it has no economic value to you and your people so people will just think u just wanna benefit from the project personally. Zambia should instead as DRC to be part of the project not even ANgola malawi or tanzania DRC benefits directly on this bridge

  2. BA LT WE WANT AN UPDATED ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE KAZUNGULA BRIDGE, CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A PROPER IN-PICTURES UPDATE OF THE KAZUNGULA BRIDGE. DO WE HAVE TO ALWAYS ACCESS THE BOTSWANA GAZETTE IN ORDER TO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR COUNTRY? WHY CAN’T WE HAVE REGULAR UPDATES ON THE INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS SUCH AS THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS? PLEASE, NOW THAT THE PRESIDENT IS THERE CAN WE SEE HOW FAR THE PROJECT HAS GONE. WE KNOW THE PRESIDENTS OF ZAMBIA, BOTSWANA AND ZIMBABWE- WE DO NOT WANT MORE OF THEIR PICTURES. LET’S HAVE MORE PICTURES FOR THE KAZUNGULA BRIDGE.

    • @ 4 Jay Jay, EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS, THE PROJECT DELAYED TO START BECAUSE WHEN IT WAS GOING TO TOUCH ON THE ZIMBABWEAN SOIL AS THE MOST IDEAL DESIGN REQUIRED IT, THEY RAISED ISSUES AS TO WHY IT SHOULD BE CONSTRUCTED ON THEIR LAND WHEN THEY WERE NOT BENEFITING!! THAT DELAYED THE START OF THE PROJECT AS A NEW GROUND HAD TO BE FOUND TO TOUCH SOLELY ON BOTSWANA AND ZAMBIA! Now Mnagagwa has seen that the completion of the RAIL/ROAD BRIDGE WILL TAKE AWAY SIGNIFICANT VOLUMES OF CARGO FROM THE BEITBRIDGE-HARARE DUAL CARRIAGE WAY THUS AFFECTING ITS FULL ECONOMIC VALUE, SO HE WANTS TO JOIN FOR “DOUBLE TOBELA”. UNFORTUNATELY WE ZAMBIANS WILL BE USED FOR ZIM’S SELFISH INTERESTS AGAIN DUE POOR REPRESENTATION AT HIGH LEVEL!

  4. Botswana and Zambia must just be careful with Emerson, if he is sincere then bring him in otherwise these guys (Zimbabweans) must change their mindset of thinking that they are still in Ian smiths’era. Cooperation is important and equitable cooperation not the way they treated Zambia and Zambians in particular as though they were the only important partners in the federation. Today they are benefiting from Zambia as they did during the federation. What is needed is level headed leadership in Zimbabwe to contribute to equitable partnership as neiogbours.

    • Zimbabwe is an important economic player in the region. Trying to play politics on economic issues will not help us.

    • Jay Jay
You also forgot to mention that we have cholera at the same time that we borrowed in excess of USD20 billion and have nothing to show for it other than excessively priced so called infrastructural developments

  6. The whole point of this bridge is not to use the Beitbridge border because of Zimbabwe’s high fees to transport cargo through that point so why should Zimbabwe be part of this?

Best is for Zimbabwe to concentrate on its reconstruction and better delivery of services to its citizens. This border project is between Zambia and Botswana who started it from scratch so it is not fair to Bots or Zambia to bring in another party.

    • When we have a dull weak visionless leader like Edgar this is what you get…he does not understand the essence of that $260m investment from both countries back in 2007. Zimbabwe should not be part of this deal unless they will be paying us fees

    • Our lazy President doesn’t understand the cost of doing business for SMEs..this is why he ignorantly declares 5 day holiday.he thinks he is doing Zim a favour by inviting them there yet they are playing him..wanting to get where they did not sow…Botswana has nothing to lose its well connected on all corners to the ocean.
