  1. This is one nasty piece of work…he claims to be socialists yet he was procuring fleets of trucks whilst not paying his Post Staff and not paying tax!!

    • I am joining this party too. I like the attire, looks expensive but Cuba will provide clothing.
      I love it.

    • @Jay Jay, even Trump don’t pay taxes. Taxing even water in wells you dug yourself, own natural water. Think abit man.
      You are wrong bro.
Listen what Mmembe is saying, its exciting minds. I am serious, HH will not match this movement. NDC is joining Mmembe, I see something coming.
      I am joining.

    • Namakando, Congrats for a courageous step!

To all mature citizens, It’s Fred’s constitutional right to belong to any party of his choice. This must be respected in a functional democracy. We only implore him to draw his leadership mandate from the party national convention asap before putting his name to the Zambian tripartite elections ballot in 2021 as a Presidential candidate.
He should avoid the temptation of being allergic to party elections the way of HH. Democracy begins at home in which case the sponsoring party. Let the pro-democracy constitutional help entrench intra-party democracy in new and old parties.

    • Your life is a struggle Mmembe. Unless you thick headed Africans change your attitudes more Cecil Rhodes are on their way! Keep on forming these political cults!

    • This is a poor show by membe given his fiery editorials for a number of reasons :
      1. This is a rallying speech which was supposed to be hard hitting not a history lesson on Nsingo!
      2. All the confidential information Membe has on PF would have been helpful here to connect the thieving in PF to captalism.
      3. It sounds like a disorganised gathering given the noise in the crowd was this a gathering of students?
      4. I can’t see any big names supporting him if he had any this was going to send shivers in PF.
Next time tell us what you will do and how you will do it. Stop telling people tales from 1875 . Stop telling people they are poor. We know that already!

    • FOR ONCE I AGREE WITH YOU @ JAY JAY
MMEMBE IS THE EPITOME OF HYPOCRISY
      HE IS A PSEUDO SOCIALIST
ONLY THE GULLIBLE WILL JOIN THIS QUACK!!

    • No rating on my part agreed as he says there is a lot to be done ahead I’ll wait and see how his leadership unfolds!

    • HE SOUNDS EXTREMELY IDEOLOGICAL. LETS SEE IF THAT WILL SERVE HIS ASZ.
      “””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””
Gen. Miyanda, retired politician, former veep of Zambia, now an LT story writer or contributor and a double h surrogate had a brilliant VILLAGE CONCEPT ideology which could never be sold adequately, may be, on account of poor tone or lack of funds to see ideas reach the last mile citizen. In a country where even a toothpick is difficult to manufacture I wonder how comrade M’membe will be able to cope up with his socialist ideology and be able to drive his story home to the electorate.

    • If you are not a politician but an revolutionary, I wonder what’s gotten into your mind to join politics. We need a policy packed individual to be able to run, stir and direct the country on the right path economically. So now you stand there with audacity to lie that you are going to undo capitalism, the very benchmark on which your cousin double h thrives. For now, I will call it wishful thinking. You needed a written speech. Damn! You’re such a terrible and horrible public speaker too.

    • The man does not undetstand the game of politics. First speech has already made political enemies locally and in the entire western world.

  2. for the first time am hearing this man speak…poor verbal communication skills..He should have just maintained his business instead of this nonsense

    • Anonymous
I agree with you in total. He has talents but this is not one of them, these are topics for seminars and workshops he definetely wont sell at a rally in mandevu, chipata compund or kanyama.Just open another paper member, and you will only crowd the political space.

  3. Oh dear, very poor verbal skills indeed. I thought the Ganja that Sinkamba smokes was the worst. Alas, looks like there is another breed of Ganja worse that what Sinkamba smokes. Who gave this guy the stuff to smoke before he made his so called inaugural speech? And who is this Ngoni warrior he is trying to build his party on. Some warrior from the 1800s. Please Sinkamba, see if you can find a market for whatever this guy is smoking.

First time to hear him speak too.

    • @Bootliker
      Its first time…. give credit.
      have you ever lectured?
      Have you ever preached?
Have you ever done stand up comedy?

Mmembe never even given full live TV-interview .
The guy just came back from exile and you want him to be a Chiluba?
There is no Zambian current politician speaking better than Mmembe, that Saviour Chishimba is coming close.

    • No He isn’t better than Lungu. They are both mediocre public speakers despite one being a lawyer and the other a journelist

  4. Ati comrades.. kwena pali ba comedy pa Zambia.

The only “El Commandante” I know is Fidel Castro (RIP). They have jumped on a bandwagon that has already completed it’s journey and is now stationary. Socialism, which came in a twin-pack with communism has already been tried and tested in Africa and not found to be acceptable.

The only message Africans get from socialism is that it is OK if you sit at home and get money from the government.

  5. Kekekekeke……this is the first time am hearing this evil lozi man Fred M’membe speaking…….kekekekekeke..He has very poor verbal skills!!there is drama in Zambia.
Now Kainde,Kambwili,Harry Kalaba have no medium to communicate their nonsense as Fred M’membe’s Mast will now be marketing their 2021 presidential candidate(Fred)!!!
THE MORE OPPOSITION PARTIES WE HAVE IN 2021,THE EASIER FOR MIGHTY PF TO RETAIN POWER!!THE DEVIL HAS BLINDED OUR OPPOSITION’S EYES TO SEE THAT!!!
We expect Kambwili,HH,Chishimba,Miyanda,Fred M’membe,Sinkamba,Miyanda,Asford Banda,Nawakwi,Wynter Kabimba, etc to compete with MIGHTY PF IN 2021!!

  6. With all due respect, I think Fred M’membe is better off leading from the shadows (the way he lead the country using The Post Newspapers). I would love to be proved wrong but this is a non-starter in the current political environment. If he wanted to join politics, he should have done it when he still had momentum and influence, when he was still ‘hot’ (if you know what I mean).

You necessarily have to join politics to make a positive contribution to the political climate… obviously it’s hard to accomplish in Africa, let alone today’s Zambia. But all over the world, the media have much influence than even the politicians themselves… Fox News, CNN, Facebook, Google, you name but a few. They dictate and shape the political environment.

Yes first time I heard him speak too and…

  7. …Yes first time I heard him speak too and I’m not going to criticize his ‘verbal communication’ like the others above, but he has no political oratory talents like that of Obama that come naturally. Whatever his ambitions, good luck to him and Lungu and his minions should leave alone to exercise his birth and constitutional rights.

  8. Now the RUSSIANS will affect our elections.it s not his wish but told to do so
NB zed be careful big powers have interest in zed and each will sponsor a candidate to gain control of zed, please balance between these two lines west and east to avoid problems.
Mmembe may be putting on jail immunity so that if convicted it will appear of is arresting opposition leaders. But a crime is a crime please finish his case fast so that he can start campaigning in chimbokaila.

  9. Naka sote pa mutu like its student politics – awe sure Zambian politics when you are looking for a redeemer, there comes another joker.

  10. PATHETIC INAUGURAL SPEECH
WHAT ARE THE VISION/MISSION/OBJECTIVES OF THE SO-CALLED PARTY?
    NATIONALISATION?
    WORKERS RIGHTS?
    PRIVATE PROPERTY?
NOTHING ENUNCIATED FROM THIS CHARLATAN AND QUACK
AND SOCIALISM UNDER UNIP BROUGHT LONG QUEUES AND MISERY IN ZAMBIA AND IN CUBA UNDER CASTRO
    THE MENTOR OF MMEMBE!!!

  11. This man is a hypocrite for sure, you wanted to become a lawyer thinking it would help you fight your own legal battles but lo and behold it didn’t happen… it doesn’t work like that even lawyers need lawyers ask Kieth Mukata, so now the only option is to become a politician and become a bonafide buffoon. Sad way to end your proffessional career! Life is crazy!

  12. Yaaah! Mmembe is not a politician. He is better writer than public speaking. This speech can not move investment. Mmembe’s articles were done by intelligent journalists. This guy is a total failure. How can he come to teach history here. This is a terrible salutation or executive summary it arouses nothing. Indeed he is not a politician. Even revolutionarist MUST show that he has something to offer. This is a flop thus my take.

  13. Lungu must be laughing, HH must be laughing, Kambwili must be laughing, Nevers or Mutati must be laughing too at Mmembe’s inaugural political speech. But the one who is laughing the most I believe is Kabimba. Musumuli and Mmembe are the guys who sent him on the wrong tangent, it is clear now. In your launch pad speech Fred, you talk about Cecil Rhodes, Nsingo, Mpezeni, cattle rustling, capitalism, socialism and hear this you call your audience comrades? Surely is n’t this what Kaunda was all about? In this day and age we should still be talking about Rhodes, REALLY? If this is Fred’s new chosen profession, then he will need a lot of adjusting before people take him seriously. I give the launch, a fail (F). This is not student politics where you just throw words like “Abash” anyhow. Fred…
