Chama north area member of Parliament Darious Mumba has thanked the heads of departments in Chama for the fruitful meeting he had with them which focused on the development of the district.
Honorable Mumba says that the president of Republic of Zambia Edgar chagwa Lungu’s vision can not be achieved if the Heads Of Department are left out.
The MP stated that his Excellency the president wants to improve the lifestyle of every Zambian in all parts of the Country.
Meanwhile, the Honorable MP was not pleased with the mother’s shelter at Chama District Hospital and Market Square at old police projects which are being constructed using constituency development funds (CDF) urging the Heads of Government Departments to be patriotic and honest with government funds.
He urged the technical Committee who are overseeing CDF projects in the District to ensure that the funds are used for the intended purpose.
Honourable Mumba says Heads of departments are the key stakeholders for development to take place in the district.
He urged the Heads of departments to add value to the people of Chama and save them diligently.
The Honourable MP has also urged the local contractors not to look at the benefit by doing shoddy works but give the people of Chama the best they deserve.
The MP has assured people of Chama that the contractor of kamphemba bridge will be on site by July 15th this month.
Honorable Mumba said this during a meeting when he met heads of departments in the Council chamber.
Meanwhile chama district commissioner Leonard Ngoma thanked the area member of Parliament for chama north constituency Darious Mumba for quick assistance he rendered to the flood victims late January this year.
Mr Ngoma said government managed to help the victims saying the PF government is a pro poor government.
The DC has appealed to the area mp to take it up so that kamphemba and Luangwa bridges are completed on time.
The DC also assured the mp that China Rail company will redo the luangwa Temporal bridge.
The DC says ZESCO national grid from Chipata connecting Chama is moving at a faster speed saying that parlors are now in Lundazi .
He said that by 2019 Chama will be connected to the national grid .
MPs need to visit their areas especially those coming from rural Zambia. Well done hon. Mumba.
