Green Eagles rise to 3rd place

Green Eagles have leapt to third place on the FAZ Super Division table on Wednesday following a 3-0 home win over Lusaka Dynamos at Independence Stadium in Choma.

The Choma side jumped from 6th to 3rd displacing Zanaco from the spot heading into this weekend’s Round 24 fixtures.

Anos Tembo struck twice in the 18th and 60th minutes to take his tally to six goals this season.

In-between, Lazarus Phiri sent Eagles 2-0 into the break with a 35th minute goal.

Aggrey Chiyangi’s side has to 42 points from 23 matches while Zanaco, who drop to fourth, have 41 points.

Eagles are fifteen points behind leaders Zesco United.

Dynamos stay 8th on 34 points after 21 games played with two matches in hand against Power Dynamos and Nchanga Rangers.
