PF Secretary General Davies Mwila and his Deputy Mumbi Phiri will today lead a team of PF senior leaders for a meeting with the Secretary General and senior members of UPND.
PF Deputy Media Director Antonio Mwanza confirmed that the meeting which is scheduled for 09:30 Hours shall take place at the UPND Secretariat.
Mr Mwanza said the meeting is aimed at strengthening unity, commencing dialogue and maintaining peace among other key governance issues.
There have been mutual efforts between the two rival parties in the recent past to broker peace and engagement in a effort to diffuse tension between their members.
In other words peace is “self sacrifice” what is corrupt is the head not the tail, Zambia does’nt need mouth “peace”, we need people who are responsible those who can sacrifice there peace for others.
No one party state please. We already tried that under Kaunda and the result was brutal dictatorship and mass corruption. We need a strong opposition.

Comments 1,2,3 and 4 are all sentiments of old, tired and irrelevant chaps in UPND who think by sponsoring violence and using innocent youths, they will get sympathy from the general public. its a well known fact that this lost HH has no future in our political dispensation and more he doesnt care about anyone for that matter. So the youths in Zambia including those in UPND must totally reject HH. We know that the only people that matter to him are his sponsors, those that sold our mines not Zambians. When PF and other genuine UPND members are frantically working hard to meet as brothers and sisters to stop the violence sponsored by HH and GBM, sadly and unashamed frustrating all the efforts, who the hell does he think he is?
Arguments attributed to civil society society activists concerning wealth accumulation does not make sense. First, naming government officials as beneficiaries of proceeds of crime without producing evidence i open court is political propaganda. It is a desperate expression of frustration when a poor neighbor lands a lucrative job. Two, it is unacceptable to attack the justice system of the country as a tested method of punishing offenders. How can lawyers and other distinguished community leaders denounce the justice system in such a selfish way? Three, gossip and rumor mongering is tempting but the proven way of developing the country is labor and enterprise.
But at yesterday’s press briefing HH had distanced himself from the peace efforts being made by Upnd and PF. He also alleged that some of his MPs were planning to defect to PF.
This meeting will not result in anything. Our Republican President is the one with a clear solution to end violence which will affect us and the children. He therefore needs to give Hon. Kampyongo another Ministerial portfolio. As it is, he is Home Affairs Minister in charge of the Police. Kanganja reports to him, and at the same time Hon. Kampyongo is the Boss of PF Youth as Chairman. Honestly and frankly do we really expect Kanganjia to remain neutral when PF hooliganism is at play? People are right to accuse Kanganjia that he is compromised and PF CADRES all over the country have taken over some of the functions of the Police.
