  1. Without China probably countries like Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Angola, Namibia and finally RSA would have gained independence. At that time because of KK’s stance against arpatheid the entire West Zambia was squeezed and only China was ready to help out especially by building the Tazara as an outlet to sea. What we need as individuals is to learn how to fish from the Chinese other than getting their fish.

    • They are all weather friends even in times of money for the old, blind and lame goes missing, their no interference policy can literally make you get away with….

    • When Zambia failed to pay back the debt of $7bn, it was the west that canceled the debt, did China as a all weather friend help us to pay? Our economy started performing around 7 percent growth per annum. That was when we cooperated with imf, world Bank and the west. Our reserves were high. Now with the all weather friend we are owing over $9bn and economy is growing at 3% per annum and with no plausible plans to pay back the debts. No one in Government has demonstrated that we have capicity to pay back all these loans when they are due except to ask other countries like turkey to pay on our behalf. We cannot just have a friend who lends and does not give.

    • @The People well said and it is true.
When Ian Smith and his South African ***** decided to punish Zambia because of KK’s persistence in regard to the independence of Zimbabwe and South Africa, Zambia was punished and this happened around 1978, 79 80. Zambias main export route that went thru Ian Smith up to SA was closed. I recall all of sudden a lot of commodities begun to disappear from the shops like ZCBC, then came brown sugar, tiptop drink. To buy sugar or bread we had to wake up early just to go and stand in the queue. It was a terrible period. I was in Chingola at this time. That was the time Zambias economy changed. The price of copper at the London Stock Market was squeezed just to punish Zambia, China came to our aid by constracting the rail line and oil pipe line from Kapiri…

    • @ Ndanje Khakis

Do you !mbecile know whom China backed in Angolan civil war?
As to Zambia, what China did contribute from the independence to 1999?
Even to-day, apart of loans which you cannot afford, what else has China contributed?

      You are dumb arse !mbecile

    • Ndanje you have no standing here. You lack integrity. As a man who first claimed to be a staunch upnd member on here years ago and even after I persistently called you out as a fraud, it is amazing that you now want to seem to be on the fence. You came out as a strong pf cadre after I was blocked from this site. You thought the day would never come when I would return here to see the truth come to light as I predicted. You are an embarrassment to all Zambians

    • As a nation, we can’t develop without the assistance of highly developed nations. Fortunately, China is willing to assist unconditionally.

The West with their barbaric sanctions are sponsoring mayhem through Africa Confidential because China has come to the aid of Zambians.

Zambians have proved that they can do without the West and they are not happy.

    • He is back in China to receive more bribes, am sure the Chinks are paying for everything including alcohol as they no these thieves have no code of conduct ….next you will hear that a company from Sichuan Province has been awarded a multi-million contract via China Exim Bank to tar roads in urban areas in Lusaka Province.

    • VIPUBA va gulisa Ziko ku tu ma Chocholee.
Pf00Ls need to stop their 1diotic leaders from mortgaging our country to chinese, otherwise our children & grandchildren will never forgive us.
Who in their rightful mind can decide to sell NRDC, DeadNBC, zesco, indeni, RATSA, luburma market, jacaranda school, kamwala prison, silverest forest, etc to Chinese?

    • Lusambo like Lungu, you are in China for yourself championing you own cause and that’s not the trend public service should take. Look inside yourself and make a change so that you can make a change that will last generations. You are in a very good place to make a great difference.

    • @ Lazi

When did China become “Highly Developed Nation”? After shamelessly STEALING Intellectual Property or after MURDERING thousands of innocent youths?

  2. Corruption scandals: Ambulances Fire Trucks Mukula Trees Ndola-Lusaka Rd Malawi Maizegate Fuelgate Swaziland landgate Zesco Loans Corruption scandals: Ambulances Fire Trucks Mukula Trees Ndola-Lusaka Rd Malawi Maizegate Fuelgate Swaziland landgate Zesco Loans

Look who is talking and where he is sitted. Thse numskulls are selling the country for few pieces of silver. All expenses paid for and you think he can speak with an independent voice, he’s speaking with a bribed voice. They should be declaring these trips and the money they are being paid from it. Better still, they need to ban politicians from getting money and donations from overseas state agencies.

China is using Africa to advance its ambitions of becoming a superpower. They may pretend to be friends but they are just trying to r@pe our country for their own benefit.

    • Those Chinks look small and timid but they are very racists little people…always whispering and giggling when you see students in the streets of UK. I am sure they are laughing at that dull fooooool sat in front of them selling off his country for pocket money…he wouldn’t be allowed to even buy a toilet room in China.

    • Under rating other people is our undoing as people. You cannot have people with the same qualities and talents. Lusambo may not have your kind of education but he’s a human being like you. The fact that he’s now minister while you’re not confirms that he’s also got something about him which you don’t have. Lastly always remember that the majority of us voters have not even attained high school so looking down on us is to your disadvantage.

    • We look down on you because your lack of education is the reason we have a dunderhead thieving president running the country supported by cadres running down everything else so yes I look down on people who make decisions based on Chibuku and a song called dununa reverse.

    • Dude love continue with your ignorance . By the way though I am adequately educated I do associate and identify with a larger part of the nation. Not who lives in a dream world.

  3. In a normal society not even Lungu can get a job with a record of a convicted thief. But here we have him as President! What a joke of a people.

  4. Roads for Rats Sparks Uproar in Parliament – Daily Nation, 22 Sep 2018

There was an uproar in Parliament yesterday wgwn UPND Bweengwa Member of Parliament, Kasautu Saiti Michelo, said the phrase One Zambia One Nation had changed to One Zambia One Chipata and roads were being made for people to sell rats.
The lawmaker said it was disappointing that the slogan ……had changed to One Zambia One Chipata and roads were being constructed in areas where people sell rats.
Mr Michelo, who was contributing to the debate on Presudent Lungu’s address to Parliament, said it was sad that some areas were being denued development and that tge slogan One Zambia One Nation had seeminglt changed to One Zambia One Chipata because of people of “Malawian origin”.
    ………..this generated cheers…

  5. Contd ………..this generated cheers from the opposition (UPND) occupied benches much to the annoyance of PF members……..

You must now agree with what I have been saying all along, that upnd is a party for one tri.be, that can only be led by people from one tribe, and for the people of one trib.e.
This was right in Parliament and barely two weeks after Trib.al Hacks issued a statement “againt tri.balism” when he himself is tri.bal and a product of tribalism.
Triba.l Lazy Jay Gay, do you now agree with me that the prospects of upnd forming government have moved from zero to negative?

  6. Of course if you are a government of thieves, who do not uphold rule of law and who find yourselves in a situation where democratically principled nations don’t want to send donor funds to you, then the Chinese will always be all weather friends. The sad reality is that the Chinese have a lot more to gain from a country which lacks any options. You have no option but to accept whatever China puts before you. How dull is lusambo

  7. Cont…
Kapiri Mposhi to Dareslam this took amost 4 years and in the meantime inports had to be flown in to Zed. It was a disaster. It the same British who now upset that Zambia is married to China, It is not now, it is from a longtime ago. Where is the USA not worried

  8. China is ok. Problem is people like you. Straight from the street throwing stones to being Minister. No clue. Physical muscle but no intellectual muscle.

ECL is a failed project. Now I understand why Guy Scot opposed him.

Remove ECL together with the chanda propaganda cree. 2026 is very far.

Dont fear. Anyone good candidate on PF ticket will definitely. People are voting for PF not individuals

  9. Tu upnd bloggers here still believe talking about zambia’s debt will land their under 5 in state house. Katwishi. Every time you have championed a loosing cause it has not worked. So until your under 5 makes it into state house, if ever, pf has the mandate to govern. The government will chose to work with those people who will help them deliver development, not those people who still behave like Zambia is still their colony for them to tell us what to do. So bantustanians wait your turn. Should your turn ever come you will chose to go & kneel before your colonial masters since they are providing you with funding. So chill. Stop your hate

  10. Zambians are cowards.Zambia is made of 72 tribes that run from wars from Countries around us.mwata yamvwa kingdom and wars from Southern parts of Africa.
That is why today we cannot stand up and fight for what is right.Act and dont just talk.
Only you can make a change.Remember that.
Do not be convinced that you know nothing about good governance when you know everything and what is currently going on.

  11. China is economically enslaving you and even some Chinese investor in Kenya was recently deported for calling Kenyans monkeys including their president Uhuru Kenyatta.

  12. When Zambia fails to pay it’s debt to China, the Chinese will lend us even more money because that’s what all weather friends do. Imagine what our enemies would say if that happened? Let them put words in China’s mouth and see where it will take them. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our Chinese friends. One Chambia! two nations…and that leader…Chairman Xi Jinping, wamu yayayaya.

  13. Bowman ever since you left for China pipo have been reporting late for work, traffic cops have started accepting bribes & basically things have gone back to normal. Please stay there.

  14. Of course China loves Zambia! Why? Because China derives ever increasing income at Zambia’s expense by its ‘investment’. Beware, Zambia is well on the way to its second – irreversible – Colonisation!

  15. FACT -The socialist market economy of the People’s Republic of China is the world’s second largest economy by nominal GDP and the world’s largest economy by purchasing power parity. Until 2015, China was the world’s fastest-growing major economy, with growth rates averaging 10% over 30 years
HOW CAN IT BE ZAMBIA’S ALL WEATHER FRIEND ??????W
WHAT DO THEY WANT IN OUR COUNTRY??????
