Patriotic Front Copperbelt Youth Chairperson Nathan Chanda has said that, the party on the copperbelt is convinced that the riots which took place in some townships in Kitwe were as a result of abuse of freedom of speech and media through lies peddled by one opposition leader Mr Hakainde Hichilema.
In a statement released to the media, Mr Chanda said that Mr Hakainde Hichilema in a telephone interview with Sun FM Radio of Ndola ,on Friday, 2nd November 2018, alleged that ZAFFICO had been sold which may have incited the people on the Copperbelt and Kitwe in particular to riot over this matter 48 hours after his statement.
Mr Chanda called upon Zambia Police to investigate the matter and ensure that Mr Hichilema is made to account for his perpetual lies.

We are convinced that the riots which took place in some townships in Kitwe were as a result of abuse of freedom of speech and media through lies peddled by one opposition leader Mr Hakainde Hichilema.
Mr Hakainde Hichilema in a telephone interview with Sun FM Radio of Ndola ,on Friday, 2nd November 2018, alleged that ZAFFICO had been sold which may have incited the people on the Copperbelt and Kitwe in particular to riot over this matter 48hours after his statement.
As PF Youths on the Copperbelt we want to ask the police to investigate this matter and ensure that Mr Hichilema is made to account for his perpetual lies.
How can a person who wants to lead this country as President continue to behave in this manner? How can Mr Hichilema continue to thrive on falsehood? We want the police to investigate this matter thoroughly.
As youths on the Copperbelt, we will have no option but to stop this kind of behaviour of wanting to make this country ungovernable. His behavior is so bad and corrupt that in everything he wants to see business and Privatization. What sort of a leader is he?
Mr Hichilema has further continued to issue racial and discriminatory remarks to some extent may propagate xenophobic attacks if left unchecked.
The conduct of Mr Hichilema is unbecoming and the police should not sit and wait until things get out of hand. Let the law do its part on those that are inciting violence in the Copperbelt towns. We have only one country and no individual must be allowed to put Zambia on flames.
Let us be united and remain peaceful no matter how we disagree to agree as politicians or indeed as Zambians. Zambia is bigger than an individual lets preserve the Peace our forefathers fought for, 54 years ago.
