President Edgar Lungu has returned from Luangwa where he had gone on a working vacation.
The President was welcomed by Presidential Affairs Minister Freedom Sikazwe at State House upon arrival from Luangwa Valley National Park.
Presidential spokesperson Amos Chanda on Friday last week clarified that President Lungu had not secretly flown out to South Africa as alleged by National Democratic Congress Consultant Chishimba Kambwili.
Mr. Chanda explained that the President had gone on a short vacation because he needs to rest.

I really have nothing personal against Sikazwe…but what experience or specialist knowledge does he have for him to hold the position of ‘advisor’ to the President? The only Zambian President I recall who really had technocrats as advisors and we never called them into question was Levy Mwanawasa. After him, the other so-called advisors seem to have been bootlickers, carders or hench-men/fixers of sorts
