The Nkana executive committee has backed Coach Beston Chambeshi and his bench ahead of the 2019 season.
Club president Evaristo Kabila said he has confidence in the Chambeshi led technical bench.
Some Nkana supporters have in the recent past questioned the prowess of their coaches after the club was relegated from the CAF Champions League to the Confederation Cup.
‘I have so much confidence in our technical bench. I think for now we have to believe in our technical bench, they are capable of producing results,’ Kabila said.
He announced the club’s future plan to facilitate further training for Nkana coaches.
‘Yes, we will sponsor the technical bench to up their skills,’ Kabila said.
Nkana are currently preparing to face San Pedro of Cote d’Ivoire in the CAF Confederation Cup match at home in Kitwe on Saturday.
‘We need to be positive, we need to rally behind the team and results will come,’ Kabila said.
He added: ‘The team is OK for now. We have the best players in the league and the technical bench need to utilise what we have to produce results.’
Nkana were eliminated from the 2018/19 Champions League pre-group stage in December by Simba SC of Tanzania.
