Transport and Communications Minister Brian Mushimba has been involved in a road accident after his vehicle flipped.
The accident happened last night on Lusaka’s Thabo Mbeki road.
And Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya has told ZNBC news that Mr. Mushimba has sustained injuries to his right forearm affecting significant soft tissue.
Dr. Chilufya says Mr. Mushimba underwent surgery in the early hours of this morning and is stable.
He says a team of experts is currently managing the minister in the University Teaching Hospital -UTH.
Too much DRINK these guys, soon we shall hear ati; he’s been airlifted to India or Suid Africa thereby leaving the vulnerable in our society in UTH – even more hopeless…
Life is too good for these PF ministers ….
Probably drunk. A lot of Zambians have the habit of driving while drank even here in the USA.
Evacuate him to SA for Specialist treatment.
Foooling people on airline and fast train system, even God is tired of you PF.
Others must be shaking.
He was drunk in government vehicle. Please show the vehicle, must be ministerial car he receives allowances on. Was he alone? Can’t be, he had a woman. If she got injured they can’t even report about her.
Let’s see if that Kafwaya minister of works got balls to be transparent on the investigation.
Please show the vehicle this dull moron was cruising in!!
I have seen it on ZWD this dull moron Brian was driving- its reg plate GRZ 881CP accident happened at 01:00 when this vehicle should have been parked.
Get well soon …
For anyone to be treated in ICU at the hospital they must have taken this dull fooool’s blood to test for alcohol …so the police spokeswoman is telling lies when she says cause is unknown!!
He can all be treated at UTH
He was coming back from his concubine. These Kaondes..?
All the post-KK thinking has not resulted in building a would class hospital in Zambia?
Standby for evacuation…
They are doing what BR Mumba JUNIOR states “Let’s roll”
Dont mind the minister, how is our car?Where was he coming from at 01?
A car flipping in Thabo Mbeki road..thats a write off like KZ’s govt vehicle.
Quick recovery Minister
Let him pay for his own evacuation with Zambia Airways. Kikiki, he will be fine. Quick recovery boss.
Its January still no news of the launch…really laughble…EA are laughing at the folly of Zambians they probably want more control of KKIA.
Ubwalwa nemisepela,what do you expect,,,,
This is the best minister of TRANSPORT WITH HIS PERMANENT SECRETARY A VERY GOOD BRILLIANT PAIR, WE PRAY TO GOD ALMIGHTY TO EXTEND HIS HEALING HAND ON YOU HONORABLE, ACCIDENTS HAPPEN TO ANYONE, HE IS NOT AN EXCEPTION, PLEASE IF HE IS UNCOMFORTABLE AIRLIFT HIM TO SA ASAP , WE WANT THE LUSAKA LIGHT RAIL, EASTERN RAILWAY LINE AND ZAMBIA AIRWAYS IN ACTION COS, SOMEONE ELSE WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THE AGREEMENTS YOU DREW WITH STAKEHOLDERS.
I am sure you are not familiar with Thabo Mbeki Rd…. You should really be driving carelessly to flip a Land cruiser on that Rd. This guy was without a doubt drunk or driving childishly to flip such a vehicle on Than Mbeki Rd
Where is the police with a breathiser to test this moron …who flips a car in Thabo Mbeki road? Anyway there is no leadership with these fooools ..probably another GRZ vehicle written off.
Flipping a car in Thabo Mbeki road on Saturday morning…in any country this minister would fired Monday morning but Lazy Lungu will pat him on the back and send for a replacement brand new vehicle from Toyota Zambia.
Too much booze and excitement over cabinet approval of a new national airline during a “Team building” cocktail at Lusaka Intercontinental Hotel on Monday, 18 December 2017.
Just how does one flip on Thabo Mbeki Road. Thats not even a highway like you are going to Mkushi or Mbaia awe – NO.
Bad example to others and I thought Ministers are driven by experienced drivers. 01 hr coming from where now!!!!!
Disaster!!!!

Why and how??? Too much booze and excitement over cabinet approval of a new national airline during a “Team building” cocktail at Lusaka Intercontinental Hotel on Monday, 18 December 2017.

Some comments are too diabolic. Rejoicing at the misfortune of others is tantamount to witchcraft. Anyone can get involved in an accident anytime, whether drunk or sober. The measure we use to judge others is the same measure that will be used on us.
Do you read anywhere about a third party vehicle being involved…who flips a vehicle in the wee hours of Saturday night..put two and two together…a gullible individual like yourself can know the answer to that!!
We wish him a quick recovery so that he can be fit enough to announce the postponement of the launch of zambia airways once again for the umpteenth time.
Nine chale ,what do you expect U/Ts ? Then an ancient ape calling himself “clergy man” is yapping that LET US fight tribalism. Tribalism can’t be fought as long as these stools start respecting names from Eastern and Northern corridors.
Some people luck respect . Fooling and insults are just in their door steps. Lusaka times you should block useless comments.
Traffic Police or RTSA should have made the announcement as this falls within their responsibility and would have given a more detailed brief. Management Lesson 101.
Jay Gay, field day for trib.als obviously.
As Nine Chale says, accidents can happen to everyone of us, including trib.als and non-trib.als, at any time, chauffeur driven or self driven.
Even those in convoys, official or not, unplanned or planned accidents …. ask Trib.al Hacks about Mongu.
Trib.al, witchcraft and evil spirits are one and the same thing. I am sure Jay Gay is wearing his traditional trib.al suit as he is blogging.
Wish you quick recovery Hon Minister.
Busy installing speed cameras on stretches of roads he doesn’t use.
I am a damn good driver, but I was once involved in a nasty flip which really baffled me. Fortunately the only injury that I sustained was a small fracture on my fore finger and a stiff neck. And of course I looked like a makishi, dusty I mean.
But maybe these things don’t happen to trib.als, or I have not noticed….kikikiki….from now on I will observe….wait and see whether their officials are immune from accidents. No wait a minute, didn’t the MP (MHSRIEP) from trib.als “party” die in a road accident in Itezitezi, there is a by election there right? If that is not proof enough, we shall wait for one involving a more prominent trib.al….you better pray hard Jay Gay, but then which God will listen to you with such an evil mind?
Same rubbish by this boy …talk to a doctor …you are a product of incest!!
It’s funny how people love to conclude, anyway it’s a good thing the accident isn’t on any of the people commenting here accidents happen drunk or not, and what has Zambia got do to with this. people drink and drive all over the world, and some of you want to paint Zambians black because of the ministers accident. Shame on you and what has the USA got to do with this have you ever head of a drive by in Zambia ????
Howz the GRZ car??????hope it’s still running…
@19 NBA NO BRAIN AT ALL
Zambians still sleeping he is already in SA, JUST IMAGINE A FLUCTURE ON THE HAND AND EVACUATED ON PRIVATE JET
