Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, the Minister said government will engage the Madagascar authorities on the matter before deploying the teachers.

“There are also certain procedures that have to be followed between the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) and the Ministry of General Education”, Mr Mabumba said.

Mr Mabumba, added that there is also a criteria which Madagascar should follow during the selection process before teachers are deployed.

  1. Other countries creating Jobs for ECL, I thought he said he is going to creat 5000 jobs for Zambians, mind you these teachers if employed will not be paying any taxes to the Zambian GRZ, so its a loss, Wonder why his supporters never question ECL on his lies.

    • We still have so many grade 12 school leavers who cannot read and those who can are lacking in many academic skills such as poor arithmetic, primary school kids also receive a very poor education and yet we want to export our teachers? Who is going to educate our own kids kanshi? Next we will be asking for teachers from Egypt, Ghana and India as we did years ago.

  2. Why not let teachers fit themselves into that labor market?

Next thing you will hear is, you have to buy forms, pay a fee, etc.

Just tell people to apply for teaching jobs in Madagascar. Mpela basi.
