Kansanshi Dynamos have extended their lead in FAZ Division One Zone 2 to five points after Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Konkola Blades in Solwezi.
Striker Royd Aluphonso scored the goal in the 23rd minute as Kansanshi moved to 39 points after 16 matches played.
The Israel Mwanza coached side took advantage of Gomes’ 1-1 draw against Indeni at home in Ndola to open up a five point gap at the top of Zone 2.
Gomes remain second as the draw pushed them to 34 points.
Indeni are now third with 27 points from 16 matches played.
Konkola drops from third to fourth position after remaining stuck on 27 points with an inferior goal difference against Indeni.
Promoted side Chingola Leopards thumped Zone 2 old guards Ndola United 2-0.
Zesco Solwezi moved out of the bottom position after beating ZNS Luamfumu 1-0 in Mansa.
Zesco now sits on 10 points one above bottom placed Luamfumu after the two teams exchanged places after midweek games.
