The Football Association of Zambia has reportedly settled on Veselin Jelusic as new Chipolopolo coach.
According to The Times of Zambia, the Serbian is set to be unveiled this week as permanent replacement for Belgian Sven Vandenbroeck whose contract was not renewed in March.
The much-travelled Jelusic’s last appointment was at Bloemfontein Celtic whom he dumped in June,2018 .
He also enjoyed a long spell as Botswana coach.
Jelusic’s first competitive test, should his appointment be ratified, will be against his compatriot Kosta Papic, who is eSwatini coach, on September 20 in a 2019 CHAN second round qualifier away in Manzini.

The Serbians are considered the poor nationalities of Europe. Their football prowess is questionable and yet asusual under pf Zambia will always settle for second rated personalities. I would rather a local Zambian national takes over as atleast he will be able to gel or get along with the players better. Remember most of those players can’t even understand or speak simple English and then you go and give them some Serbian. Even my Swiss wife thinks this is pathetic. Anyway am currently enjoying the sun with my white wife in Camden London.
If he can take some players to Serbia then is good.
But he sounds like a bad rude character, who will resign soon and collect money in compensation.
