I am PF and Will Contest The Party Presidency At The Forth Coming Party General Conference-KBF

"I 'll not fault the President, he has not commented on this issue", KBF says.

Prominent Zambian Lawyer and 2021 presidential aspirant, Kelvin Fube Bwalya, popularly known as KBF has reiterated that he is a bonfide member of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF). Mr. Bwalya has also maintained his resolve to contest the party presidency at the forthcoming party general conference slated for this June or July, saying he qualifies to stand for the post of president of the PF, just like any member of the party.

He said he would not be drawn into a fight with his elder brother, President Lungu, who he so much respects. Mr. Bwalya also commended President Lungu for opening up the race for party presidency and all other elective positions. This, he said, is as it should be for a party subscribing to democratic tenants. He urged all Patriotic Front members and his supporters at large to remain calm and focused on the general conference.

On his purported dismissal from the party, Mr. Bwalya said the party cannot expel a member for simply expressing personal political ambition to contest an elective position in the party structures. This, he said, was provided for in the party constitution. He was speaking in a live Muvi TV interview dubbed Blunt Talk.

In response to questions suggesting that he had been expelled from the PF and therefore would not be allowed to contest for the position of party president, Mr. Bwalya said he has never received an expulsion letter from the Patriotic Front to that effect. “I genuinely believe I am a member of the Patriotic Front. They claim that they expelled me, I have never received a letter of expulsion from anybody. We are not running a kangaroo court, we are running a ruling political party. That is not how you run a political party. You do not expel people simply because one member says I want to be President of the party. It’s not a crime for a member of the party to indicate intention to stand for a political position in the party, not even in the constitution of the PF.’’

“The President of the Republic said members are free to stand, and I give credit to him, he is on record and said it’s my democratic right if I want to stand. “The Secretary General of the Patriotic Front also said it’s okay, there’s an amnesty- everybody who left the party or everybody who was expelled should feel free to come back. Mind you, my party doesn’t have membership cards. If it was a question of going to buy a membership card, I would have done that. But for me I took their words, this is what they wanted, they wanted unity back in the party. So I am here,” he said.

And reacting to earlier comments made by Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri that Mr Bwalya was not a member of the Patriotic Front as he had been expelled and that should he want to return to the party, he would have to re-apply and wait three years, he said “I have never insulted the leadership of the Patriotic Front. Some people left the Patriotic Front, insulted the leadership of the Patriotic Front, came back, you don’t give them three years you want to give me three years? What crime did I commit? Why are you going back on your words?
“You said there’s an amnesty, for everybody to come back. I can’t fault the President, he has been quiet on this matter,” he said.

Mr Bwalya went on to state that he did not commit any crime and believed there are people trying to build differences within the party.

“I am prepared to suffer the inconvenience of insults and being degraded so that every Zambian enjoyed good life.

    • KBF has brought a breath of fresh air into the stinking politics exhibited in PF. The maturity of his approach to issues ranging from his vision for the best economic outlook for our country to facing insults from within his own party is commendable indeed. He has not shown desperation like other aspirants who will aim to undermine competitors. He has always maintained his opinion on issues based on truth and has not given in to manipulation by forces within and outside the party.
Whilst deceptive politics and insults are rife in Zambia KBF has shown us that a life of lying is not for him!

  1. Good luck KBF if these panga yielding PF thieves and vandals will ever allow you to contest the presidency.

Anyway, it is your democratic right to challenge Edgar Lungu as we retire him next year whether he likes it or not.

We are ready to face anyone of you who shall emerge victorious in Twente Twente wanu (2021) . Good luck!

    PF must go!

    PF must go!

  2. Sorry. You confessed to having a hand in rigging elections in favor of Edgar. If you did this without power, I shudder to think what evil you can do with the instruments of power in your hands. You are worse than Edgar. Ubufi bulaya no kubwela

  3. Man, I love KBF, his book, Zambia Must Prosper 1 and 2 are the benefit qualification for anyone to stand as Republican President. Edgar Lungu is cluless and must go by any means, HH has onyl gained momentum because people want change and he happens to be President of the opposition at the right time.
HH does not have any solid plans for the country, simply saying I will fix it isnt enough! And the man is involved in recent major scandals, not very appealing as a presidential aspirant. you mention forest 27 and he has a plot there, he also palyed role in the same of the lower Zambezi NP for mining.

    • Don’t forget that HH is the only opposition who warned us that PF government was bound to fail and he was called a bitter man.

Here we are today the economy under PF has collapsed.

Zambia needs a visionary leader of HH’s caliber.

You see within three years Zambia’s economy will change for better and for every Zambian.

      PF must go!

  4. There is no way PF can hold a General conference anymore.
If KBF, Edgar, Sampa were democratically allowed to contest elections, then Miles Sampa would win again. Especially the way he is running Lusaka, definitely PF presidency would go to Miles.

  5. @ spiderless existence. You are very quick to dismiss HH despite his numerous pieces of advice to such as supporting farmers and avoiding excessive borrowing. What is your solution? You are a tribal bigot. Period.

  6. Most PF members feel safe under ECL.,They know they can get away with any crime. They can steal as much as they feel (of cause without eating the seed) without facing any consequences. So Mr KBF, you will found all those vultures, snitches and chances’ wreath at the conversion.

  7. Spiderless,u are a digress to zambia.HH has told u wht he we do…he talked of farming,he talked of borrowing, talked of mining…wht more do u want him to talk..

  8. If the party presidency remains unchallenged its as good as not having elections at all.

  9. Bashi Chite: This is a great comment. KBF knows Chavula and if he could look the other way as it was happening, wht more if he’s given state power? KBF isn’t the kind of person Zambia is looking for to be president.

  12. @Bashi Chite, it is common sense for anyone outside of PF bootlickers to point out what the PF is doing wrong. HH has rightly stated that we shouldnt borrow reckless and also that we should focus more on farming. Of course any sane person agrees with him on that, and he has immense experience in farming and I am sure he would run the affairs better than ECL/
ECL is clueless, unispiring and cannot be called a leader. The current situation makes HH an ideal candidate, he is at the right place at the right time.
KBF has written a book, a perfect book that clearly shows how he would change first in the first 5 years, very practical book.
if you download the Amazon app on your phone, both books are free to read. I urge you to read even the first chapter and you will see why I state that he…

  13. is the only one with a solid, factual and feasible plan for Zambia’s liberation and econmic growth. HH, in my view, says the obvious things that are wrong with the PF government (less borrowing, stronger fight against corruption, prioritising other sectors etc).
Any of the other presidential aspirants have said the same thing and have said they would do better, but KBF, please read his book, has an actual outline of how to handle these things. Once more, you can search on the amazon store even in your bowser and you can read the first 10 pages free.
Attack me on my content, you dont know anything about me, you dont know my tribe and you dont know what political party i support. if you engange me on content, i will be more than glad to exchange messages with you here, lets debate.

  14. @Sakala, you must be new on this platform if you assume I am a PF supporter. I urgee you to look at previous articles even from three days ago and going backwards, see my name, and come back here and tell me I am a PF supporter.

  15. So writing a book is a quality of a president! KBF will be another Kavindele at the UNIP Congress when he attempted to challenge KK. With thugs like Paul moonga Manning the gates at Mulu gushi Rock of authority, Kaya!

  16. Must have left Lusaka a long time ago. When did KBF become prominent? Any way luck, KBF is in PF. In you UPND any mention of the convention and elections is enough to see you expelled from the party. As for standing against HH, that would be treason.

  17. @ spiderly existence it seems that you are intoxicated with drugs or alcohol. Read your own Post@ 5. And compare with what you are now posting now. Sorry bwana I don’t debate with mentally challenged people who cannot remember what they said/posted one hour ago! Please, no harm intended, but concern for a fellow human being.
Seek a psychiatrist for diagnosis and treatment before it is too late. Amen.

  19. Bashi Chile, please point out the inconsistency in my statement. I earnestly appeal to you to discuss content, once more, you dont know anything about me, and I dont know anything about you, lets just discuss your argument and mine.
If you cannot show me what you disagree with in my views or the inconsitencies therein, we may rest this debate, knowing that I have more of a solid base than you do.

Both driven down to grit because of greed. Who am I to stop you. Adiós

  21. Bra, lets have a discussion. if you are sure that I am going back on my words, show me why you say so!
This is the problem with us Zambians, you cant even hold your own. Learn to express yourself, democracy entails, most of all, the freedom of expression, you must be free to discuss your views, and be bold enough to hear opposing views, dialogue!
I was happily awaiting to have this discusion with you but its sad that the best you can do is call me a tribalist and a person with mental illness.

  23. Spiderly Existence, you win the debate. Bashi Chite has failed to challenge you on factual issues in your writings and has thus resorted to ad hominem attacks. So you win. Not that I agree with your views, only that you know how to engage in intellectual dialogue, and Bashi Chite does not.

  25. One like from me Lie-Detector, it is very imperative that we discuss issues in a calm manner, and I wished the gentleman could engage me in my analysis., I was not trying to force people to agree with me, and its sad that the best he can do is resort to name calling, much like the calibre of our politicians, makes me lose hope in our citizens if we can’t be tolerant. my view is that HH has not given a solid plan, KBF has.

Oooooh! Dream on while stocks last.

  28. All those here supporting KBF here are just a bunch of useless Bemba tribalist. Zambia needs to wipe out that Bembalization that we ve seen in PF. Look at the names of every Minister? Ambassador, Directors of parastatals? All Bembas and a few ngonis.

  29. We need to seriously solve the Bemba problem that we currently ve in Zambia. Its have never been like this? And they like to be presidents but non of them is presidential material. Including the one that died.

  30. I don’t see PF giving you a fair play i don’t believe Mr. Lungu will be ok with this i foresee more drama happening in PF Mr. Lungu and his people will not allow you this is the beginning of troubles in PF .

  31. KBF, or Miles Sampa but i think Miles Sampa has more chances than KBF although HH will beat all of them including Mr. Lungu combined as things stand for now.

  32. That’s the problem with greedy politicians. You work your way up the grassroots first. The party is the one the one that is suppose to endorse you. Chitalu has a stronger chance than you kbf, he’s in the system and performing already. Greed destroyed GBM, Kambwili and almost Miles’ careers, you will soon join them-the local political brutality will chew you and spit you out!!!!

  33. PROMINENT LAWYER? WHAT BROUGHT HIM TO PROMINENCE? GIVE US HIS HISTORY SO THAT WE CAN JUDGE FOR OURSELVES IF HE DESERVED TO BE CALLED PROMINENT. AM TOLD LUNGU WAS ALSO A PROMINENT LAWYER BEFORE ASCENDING TO THE PRESIDENCY!

  34. Is any Republican going against Trump as a sitting president? Why is PF going to a convention to elect a presidential candidate? Just comparing with an older democracy.

  35. Mr Fube makes more sense because doesn’t glorify the PF sponsored thuggery we are seeing in the country .Zambia is a rich country which has has been mismanaged .The leaders make laws which they cannot follow .The judiciary pass judgement which they selectively implement .There is industrial theft of tax payers cash by the so called leaders .There is zero accountability by leaders .Every letter of the law has been broken by the PF .

  36. Anyone supporting KBF is a political imbecile with little or no knowledge of Zambians politics. This is the f.o.ol who corruptly connived with corrupt judges to hand the FP presidency to the Qwazi Land-Cruzer driver whilst most useful i.di.ots where sleeping on a weekend, Only to surprise Dochi Shicott with a court order signed at 24hrs in the country where he was the head of state at that particular time. Are these chaps you can even be contemplating becoming bakateka? you must have serious moral issue fellow Zambians. Yes we have a vacancy at plot 1, but KBF shud be the last we can be looking at, he is part of the problem that we are facing today. In-fact he created it, i wud love more if the chaps at Mulungushi can use mafiso behavior on him during the convention. What goes…

  37. Lungu is such a useless leader he even makes the likes of the criminal KBF look like a saviour. That’s how at the bottom of the barrel we reached with Lungu
