PF hooliganism and thuggery in the country keeps breaking news records

Share

The UPND says PF hooliganism and thuggery in the country keeps breaking news records with the recent incident being where their thugs beat up police officers right at one of the biggest police stations in the country.

Party Deputy Secretary General Patrick Mucheleka says not even the once powerful UNIP vigilantes that terrorised citizens during the one party state reached this level of violence and thuggery of beating law enforcement agencies right at their premises.

Mr Mucheleka says the UPND have been at the receiving end of this PF thuggery resulting in some of their members even killed in cold blood by PF thugs, yet law enforcement agencies have done nothing up to now.

“And we have repeatedly warned that violence has no end once it starts and encouraged by those in authority because one day they will equally be victims of the same”, he said.

Mr Mucheleka said UPND knew it was just a matter of time before this PF thuggery degenerates to such levels because it has been tolerated for a very long time now.

He said there are numerous incidents with video and photo evidence of PF thugs invading premises and beating up innocent citizens, such as what happened during the live TV Bill 10 debate at Intercontinental Hotel, yet nothing has been done to date.

“We are also reminded of an incident during the Sesheke bye election when PF thugs invaded a police station and attacked police officers. But instead of promoting the police officers who repelled the PF thugs, the officers were themselves hounded out of the police service”, he added.

Mr Mucheleka said with all the powers that have been given to these PF hooligans where they have placed themselves above law enforcement agencies, it is not clear what could stop them from raiding a police station and clobbering police officers.

“It is now clear Zambia is finally a failed state because if law enforcement agencies cannot deal with perpetrators of such heinous crimes, where will ordinary citizens run to for security since police stations are equally not safe”, Mr Mucheleka added.

He has questioned where is the security of this nation and that of ordinary Zambians if police officers can be clobbered at the police station and then the assailants manage to evade arrest.

“Can you imagine if these were UPND members who did such a thing”, he added.

  1. Don’t compare Lungu with fools, no campaign message Bantustan party only condemning everything pf does. Bo mucheleka you want to impress Bantustan leader come back to the people

  2. Today he can not fully convince Zambians and if I were him would have stepped down on moral grounds. No one will deny and protect him because no any other names are linked to him and not even, his own cabinet ministers mentioned in this case but direct on him. If someone like a young lady points out a man who is married saying she has been impregnated is it in order for a child to that parent deny on behalf of the Father? Not even a wife at all. So is this case. The only people known to be correct are two. The president and Kankara and not any other persons not even Chipampe in this case.

  3. If there is any sense of morality left in this bunch of PF in govt, let them condemn at the very least, this incident!!

  4. What an assault and embarrassment on The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.
We have been feeding a beast now it’s coming to eat us. Illeterate Cadres are a danger to national security. So anyone can beat up police in Zambia? All that training at Lilayi for nothing.

  5. Ok I know that I am not the most attractive man on earth. I also know that God did not make anyone ugly. But omg when it comes to this guy katuka, I think he is an exception. The man is very ugly. I have met some ugly people in my life but not like this. This is the PHD level of ugliness.

  6. Imagine even trying to overthrow a foreign government. What is really wrong with you Lungu?

Rwanda is the only country in Africa that gives us hope that things can be done much better. Kagame has done wonders for his country. The whole Africa respects him. If Africa were ever to elect one leader to govern us all, it would be him. 100%.

I am sure Kagame knows that you do not reflect what Zambia is about.

You have brought untold shame to Zambia. It will take time to repair the damage, but it would help if you left office now, quietly.

  7. Kaizer, now this is despicable .Who says that? Is it a bad way of swallowing your pride having been embarrassed by your very own cadres , cadres trained and armed by yourselves. Wait Kaizer, this Monster created by your Party will soon devour you . who would have imagined that Cadres can have the leverage to invade the Police Station and with gross impunity attack the Police Officers on Duty. Kaizer please warn your boss , like a rapid dog which knows no master thus your cadres are fast becoming, you are next on the line . Ignore this at your very own risk. please dont down play what Mr. Katuka is saying; its the truth.

  8. Zambia is finished. My suggestion is that sensitive positions that require impartiality like IG of Police, Speaker and Chief justice must come from other countries especially Britain seconded by the commonwealth. On our own we have completely failed and we are not going anywhere.

ALL ZAMBIANS TOLERATED THEIR BEHAVIOR, MOST ZAMBIANS THOUGHT IT COULD ONLY HAPPEN TO UPND MEMBERS . ITS A STORY OF A CAMEL AND THE ARAB MERCHANT.

  10. Its refreshing to see even skull man @ Kudos coming to his senses…thumbs up to him, that is how it should be…at least he is not behaving like chilya ichinkula cheshilu called Kaizer, who supports blindly even on wrong doings by PF on matters such as the one Mucheteka is highlighting above!

  12. UPND are the in the habit of starting things that when they turn against them want to play clean. Tribalism started with UPND-Sejani, violence started with UPND in mapatizya. Their recent action in Mongu will have far reaching effects on them that they will even go cry to the International community were they go when things turn against them. They will know Trump. Which Political Party in Zambia has an MP in prison for murder? But yes Katuka is an ugly mfu.cker

  14. PF has created a beast that they cannot control in the name of party cadres. Very soon the beast will turn on them when others are not considered for positions in the upcoming convention.

  15. Am just ashamed to have a president like Lungu! Otherwise the whole pf is rotten and they got rotten long time ago.

  16. I regret having voted for these terrorists and I don’t think any normal person can vote for these heartless thugs.

  17. I regret having voted for these terrorists. I don’t think any normal person can still vote for these thugs next year.

  18. Kci @16,there’s little to nothing u know about the history of tribal politics in Zambia. If u seriously want to know please read Sikota Wina’s book THE NIGHT WITHOUT A PRESIDENT in which the author has really done us all a great favour. The foreword to the book was by John Mwanakatwe who was also witness to the events Sikota Wina writes about. Kenneth Kaunda had an animus against tribes from the former North Western Rhodesia by discriminating against their languages in national radio broadcasts. He gave them less broadcast time on national radio compared to the chosen languages from the former North-Eastern Rhodesia. That’s a fact u can independently check if u disbelieve me. Kaunda’s government therefore created fashionable and unfashionable tribes in Zambia.
