MALAMBO Constituency Member of Parliament Hon Makebi Zulu has reacted to reports that UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema on Saturday chickened out of a ZNBC interview in which he was supposed to clear himself from serious allegations surrounding the privatization of national assets.
Hon Zulu who is also Eastern Province Minister says that Hakainde has no answers to the allegations leveled against him.
He adds that Hakainde can not manage to answer questions on Sunday Interview because the questions are not prepared by him saying his used to interviews in which he prepares questions himself.
” It will be embarrassing for him to respond to questions he has not framed”,he said.
The Malambo law maker has further observed that Hakainde is used to stage managed interviews hence refusing the ZNBC interview.
“That is the trouble of being used to choreographed interviews,you can not face professional people on a television interview”Hon Zulu said.
Five times Zambian Presidential election loosing Hakainde was supposed to feature on ZNBC Sunday Interview by at the last minute,he chickened out.
Zambians are demanding answers from Hakainde on the role he played in the privatization process.
There are strong allegations that Hakainde as Consultant and Evaluator, grossly profited from the privatization process by under-valuing state assets, selling state assets to himself and his associates, failing to declare commercial interests and failing to make disclosures in assets that he was interested in or his associates.
Hakainde, as lead Consultant and Evaluator for the Zambia Privatisation Agency (ZPA)was involved in the sale of Musio-O-Tunya Intercontinental Hotel, the sale of ZCCM non-core assets such Lunsemfwa Hydro and ZCCM Power Division(CEC) of sold to 5 ZCCM Executives.
As CEO and Managing Partner of Coopers & Lybrand and later Grant Thornton, Hakainde was liquidator of the agriculture Bank, Lima Bank that had various assets including farms.
His firm also appointed Christopher Mulenga as Receiver Manager for RAMCOZ in Luanshya, a process marred with allegations of plunder and excess looting.
He is the mother of all thieves, thats why he is rich. Chi colour is guilty as charged.
Used tissues are supposed to be thrown in the toilet because they are stinky so is our current leadership who have nothing to better Zambians but are on HH everyday.
He did well to shun the interview and sue him for shunning such useless interview.
He has rights to be interviewed or not so haters go and hang yourselves ZNBC transmission towers.

Even the educated can sink so low, maybe for the love of favours or scared that HH is speaking the truth that the wealth of Zambia is being plundered in day light. Most of the Educated people in PF have let down the Zambian people. President Sata was right when he said some of his ministers are a let down. Just like now, some of President Edgar Lungu ministers have let him down for making certain decisions.

I thought HH made it clear why he declined the interview. The matter has since been taken to court and that’s where he will clear himself. After next year it will be other people’s turn to clear themselves why they have acquired so much wealth in such a short period of time
Let us not forget the President admitted to taking money from a widow, why dont we interview ECL as well?
If it displeases the PF just know that it’s not in HH’s interest. It’s therefore easy to conclude that the PF were up to something here. Why’s ZNBC not complaining? Why’s HH not complaining? But the PF hv found it fit to complain. Was it going to be a normal interview? I doubt it.

Makebi, the last time I checked, you were a Lawyer and I think you best know what it means to discuss a case that is already before the courts of Law, We know you are trying very hard to make HH stumble but he is protected by the blood of Jesus and you wont make him commit a case by discussing a case that is before the courts and then turn around and say he is contemptuous, besides it is not even tactical to lay bare the facts that you will present before court to your adversary because that alone may weaken your case ba Mwankole. Christopher Mulenga is a private citizen who’s being accused of looting Ramcoz during his time as receiver. If Mulenga looted Ramcoz, why’s he not in court? Receiverships are supervised by the High Court and so far no court has found Mulenga wanting. Is it because Mulenga was associated with HH?

The request from UPND to have Hakainde Hichilema (HH) interviewed, was made on 10/09/2020 to ZNBC director general.
HH wanted to realign some of the uncomfortable statements made by previous interviewees. By this time HH had already sued Edith Nawakwi for USD3m for character assassination.
It is not true that he declined the offer because the matter is in court. Besides, it still would have been his chance to sell himself and discuss pertinent matters to voters without dwelling on active court matters. Please, let us have an intelligent reason for refusing the offer. Makebi Zulu may sound dull but he has a point that must not be hurriedly dismissed.

I would be more interested to listening and watching an interview of our president Edgar Lungu who cannot even prepare his own questions for an interview. HH is an opposition leader who has less influence on the people of Zambia compared to EL who has never given an interview or addressed the Nation despite the many challenges facing the populace. HH is an economist but even him in his layman mind realises that going on ZNBC to discuss a matter that is before the courts of law would be tantamount to contempt of court. It thus says a lot about Makebi Zulu, a lawyer, to not realise this very basic concept of contempt of court. I once saw him on TV with Sangwa where he claimed Lungu’s first term was not “holding office per se” thus shouldn’t count as a swearing in at all & that all actions he undertook were not binding.
