United Party for National Development (UPND) Chairperson for Industrial Development, Bernard Mpundu has accused the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) of colluding with the Zambia Police Service to stop opposition political parties from freely assembling and holding political meetings.
In an interview , Mr Mpundu stated that it was laughable for Republican Vice President, Ms Inonge Mutukwa Wina to allege that the ruling party has not stopped the opposition from holding political meetings.
Ms Wina told Parliament on Friday that police have not stopped members of the opposition from organising political meetings provided that was done under the Pubic Order Act (PoA), assertions that Mr Mpundu branded as “unfounded” and as a “total” lie.
“It is laughable and regrettable that the Vice President could say what she said in Parliament. Who doesn’t know the behaviour of PF? As opposition political parties, on numerous occasions, we have tried to notify the Police to hold rallies, demonstrations, and other political meetings but the police in collusion with the PF have stopped us,” said Mr Mpundu.
He has since appealed Ms Wina to shy away from portraying a picture of innocence, saying the Veep was fully aware of the numerous atrocities that her defunct PF has been committing against opposition political parties and Zambian citizens.
“Let not the Vice President and her party portray a picture of innocence when she knows too well that her party and Government is a Government of tyranny! They are tyrants, they are dictators, they don’t understand what it means to be democratic. The democratic space in this country is completely buried. But that’s what you expect when you have a bunch of liars in Government,” said Mpundu.
Meanwhile Mr Mpundu says that UPND will not sit and watch PF continue mobilising.
“We have also embarked on massive mobilisation across the country and the support is huge, want or not – Zambians want UPND and it’s President Hakainde Hichilema to leave better lives ” says Mr Mpundu
This is the reason why election results can never be accepted in this country. The opposition are strongly denied mobilization/campaign space and time. The PF knows very well that once the opposition are freely allowed to mobilize and campaign that’s the end of them. PF can never win a free and fair election
The PF party is composed of not truthful people, the PF government is the only one since independence that has squeezed the opposition to the limit. And they even have the audacity to mock God on the PF political day of prayer which is coming up. Anyway time, time, time…..

Lusambo might be useful by UPND, they have fond of collecting rejects. Lusambo can’t even dare go near NDC. In short, Lusambo is lone bandit roaming the streets trying all its best to exist, to an extent of even naming babies after PF leader’s wife.

SHOPRITE AND AIRTEL MUST CHANGE THEIR COLORS AND STOP BEING PAID BY HH DEMANDS PF SG.
Patriotic Front secretary General Hon Davis Mwila has demanded that Airtel the telecommunication company in Zambia and Shoprite the retail chainstore cease to use the Red color because it’s promoting UPND.
Hon Mwila has written to both companies requesting that they change their colors and stop being funded by the opposition UPND.
Mr Mwila has accused the dual companies of promoting the opposition UPND through their excessive use of the Red color.
I’ts not clear what’s driving this lame and damaging accusations to the innocent companies and wether or not both Airtel and Shoprite will take this lightly.

This can’t be true. UPND is in habit of such false claims. Anyone with even a minute political knowledge will understand that such heroics can prove dear to PF. It stands a chance to lose mass support if it resorts to such suppressive tactics. In other words, any such act will be no less than committing political suicide.
On the contrary, Mr Mpundu it is laughable that a seasoned politician like you resort to such childish arguments. Do you think it is as easy as said, to execute such ideas in a democracy? It will take lot of efforts and resources to manage the entire system which is used to work under critical situations. Police force is duty bound to obey the order of the bosses and no one else. They also know the legal ramifications of such act if someone decided to move court against this. Are you getting my point, sir?
When a minister or MP speaks something on the floor of the House, it has a legal sanctity and the speaker is bound by the oath to speak nothing but truth. If Ms Wina has said something on the floor of the house, the onus will be on her to prove it. So no politician, leave alone Ms Wina would dare to speak untruth on the floor of Parliament. If the government is saying that police have not stopped members of opposition, and that too in Parliament, then we must believe it.
Mr Mpundu, why are you so cynical? Can’t you be a little considerate? This won’t work every time. You can’t take people for granted. Gone are the days when people of Zambia believed everything UPND served them. But now it is proved beyond doubt that UPND leadership is involved in spreading lies, we want to be doubly sure before we believe whatever you say.
Before jumping to any conclusion, Mr Mpundu, you should introspect a little. I know you will realise the truth. You are not a bad person. Politics and hatred unleashed by your supreme leader has hypnotised you and many others. It is time to open your eyes and see the reality. There should be a clear cut demarcation between politics and intra-human relationships.
Government of tyranny? Being such a senior leader in UPND, I am sure you are aware how Hakainde Hichilema is generating support from foreign forces to sabotage 2021 elections. If you know and yet pretend to be an upright person then you are the biggest hypocrite, Mr Mpundu and if you don’t know, then you are the biggest fool in the politics.
