CSOs launch Democracy and Motherland Defenders Coalition

Share

10 civil society and student organizations have launched a consortium called the CSOs launch Democracy and Motherland Defenders Coalition (DMDC).

And the Coalition has commended the Electoral Commission of Zambia for the efforts and resources it deployed to ensure available and willing citizens register as voters.

Speaking during the launch this morning at Mika Lodges, DMDC Spokesperson Andrew Ntewewe said Zambians have a duty to chart their own paths by creating democratic governance systems that speaks as well as responds to the country’s unique greatness.

“The course of Zambia can only be decided upon by the Zambian people. Zambia can only be built by the labor and sacrifices of the citizens who genuinely love and have total loyalty to Zambia” said Mr Ntewewe.

The Coalition said Zambia is faced with challenges of betrayal and foreign interference in the management of our national and electoral affairs.

“Our country has been betrayed by some selfish, unpatriotic citizens who have ganged up against our country with foreign interests that are championing and positioning capitalistic imperialism ideals. These foreign interests have no obligations to love or be loyal to our country, their loyalty lies in how much of our God given resources they can take out of our country,” said Ntewewe.

The consortium said Zambians must refuse to be a generation that fail to defend and protect its motherland from foreign interference.

“Our fore fathers and mothers with the little resources at their disposal vigorously fought colonies to create the Zambia we have today. This generation has a duty to continue defending Zambia and positioning her to be competitive beyond the 21st century,” said Ntewewe.

The Consortium has officially written to the Electoral Commission of Zambia requesting for them to carry out an independent audit of the new voter’s register ahead of its certification next year.

The 10-member consortium include among others Young African Leaders Initiative, Center for Leadership and Good Governance, Center for Community Development, Zambian Institute of Governance and Civil Liberties Platform and Public Health and Good Governance Zambia, among others.

  1. You are the fake ones and a cohort of people forming a criminal organization mascarading as a united CSO group defending Zambia. You are the criminally sponsored CSO with intent to harm Zambia in every way possible. You have been given money to appear ligitmate to the mediocre yet you are the wolves in sheep’s skin.

  2. Where is Lungu, who’s running the country? Lungu would rather joined the nation in mourning the death of a fish that lived in a pond at the country’s second-biggest university than the lost two lives.

  3. After spending colossal sums of money on the failed bill 10 project now they move to this clandestine PF political campaign.
How much more of tax payers money are the PF going to waste through their surrogates.
Everybody now knows the PF schemes. You cant hide anymore.

  4. I like this organization it makes more sense than some political parties who have no heart for Zambians , better you include to the effort to require leaders to be accountable to what they do or what they have done against this nation for example the plunder of public resources to benefit themselves .
I strongly support those voices and stand against any violence when doing politics Zambia does not belong to a few selected and selfish characters .

  5. This ntwetwetwe fellow after failing with bill 10 now has started another gimmick to continue pleasing his paymasters so that he can continue receiving a salary.

  6. Ati kumunzi Ni mphamvu.. Mu town ninzelu..that’s the exact principle Andrew Ntewewe and his colleagues are actually putting into practice. It’s just a matter of time we will see these selfish individuals begging for survival when we have a Leadership that is not of their like minded. Andrew Ntewewe is thriving on the selfishness of the people that sponsor him which he has also taken advantage of to advance his selfish behaviour. He is the first bootlicker hidding in the name of civil society to Campaign for a Bill by placing advertisements on BILL BOARDS.

  7. U can’t take them away from conspicuous consumption. That’s all they dream of driving a Range-Rover and that’s Young African Leaders Initiative which is supposed to be Africa’s future.

  8. I was thrilled when I read CSOs launch Democracy and Motherland Defenders Coalition until when it said they have commended ECZ I lost interest. Anyway I understand looking at the people behind.

  9. THE PF HAS NO LOVE FOR OUR COUNTRY THAT’S WHY THEY ARE SO CARELESSLY DISLOYAL TO IT. IF THE PF LOVED ZAMBIANS, WOULD ITS MINISTERS BE PAYING BACK TO THE TREASURY THE MONEY THEY STOLE IN 2016? THEY WOULD FIRST HAVE DEALT WITH THE ONE WHO CAUSED THIS INTERNATIONALLY EMBARRASSING EVENT. THE PF IS ONLY INTERESTED IN WHAT CAN BE STOLEN FROM THE TREASURY THRO OVERPRICING OF CONTRACTS AND EQUIPMENT IMPORTED SUCH AS FIRE TENDERS. NOTHING ELSE!! THE PF’S BETRAYAL OF ZAMBIANS IS SECOND TO NONE SO FAR . THEY BROUGHT FOREIGNERS SUCH AS SEER 2 AND HIS ILK TO DESTABILIZE OUR CHRISTIANITY. IF CITIZENS HAVE TO DEFEND ZAMBIA, IT SHOULD BE FIRST AGAINST THE MERCILESS PF.

  10. KEPT ON WONDERING WHERE THE RATS – MONDAY CHANDA, ANTONIO MWANZA… WERE HIDING. ONLY TO REALIES THAT THEY HAVE SUBCONTRACTED DISGRUNTLED NTEWEWE AND GANG TO LAUNDER THEIR FLITH.
    CHECK THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS?
