Zambeef has signed a 12 percent salary increment for its staff across the board starting January 2026.
Company Chief Executive Officer, Faith Mukutu says Zambeef holds high esteem the welfare of its employees hence the salary increment.
The media reports that the CEO was speaking during the successful signing of the salary collective bargaining increment between Zambeef management, staff union and Grain and Meat Union (GRAMUZ) held at Zambeef Headquarters Offices in Lusaka today.
Ms Mukutu, said Zambeef remains dedicated to implementing initiatives that not only complement the government’s vision but also promote Job satisfaction while supporting the continued growth of the company.
She commended the Zambeef staff union and GRAMUZ for being professional during the salary increment bargaining negotiations that resulted in the 12 percent increment across the board.
Ms Mukutu noted that her company is committed to supporting Zambia’s developmental agenda through the welfare of its employees.
“Through our business operations and investments, we support and advocate for the government’s desire to create sustainable employment opportunities in Zambia,” she noted.
Speaking at the same event, and on behalf of Zambeef Staff, GRAMUZ President, Blake Mulala, commended Zambeef for the salary increment across the board.
Mr Mulala observed that this is commendable especially that it has been fulfilled amidst the energy challenges.
He further urged other employers in the country to take a leaf from Zambeef, which is the country’s third largest employer with about 8,000 employees.
The increment has been reached in the best interest of both parties that reflects commitment to the welfare of Zambeef employees.
