South Africa’s Samuel Simpson produced a stunning final round to win the KCM Golf Challenge 2026 at Nchanga Golf Club, finishing 18-under par for his third Sunshine Tour title and second Zambia win in 12 months.
Championship Sunday delivered drama as Simpson holed an eagle on 17 and a birdie on 18 to reach 18-under.
He then waited as his closest challengers narrowly missed out.
Pieter Moolman, Simon du Plooy, Oliver Goldhill and Haydn Porteous tied for second at 17-under, with Graham van der Merwe sixth at 16-under.

Christiaan Burke added to the excitement with a hole-in-one on the 150m par-3 9th using a pitching wedge — the fourth ace of the Sunshine Tour season.
“It’s pretty cool coming back here and winning again. Zambia clearly has a soft spot for me. I love playing this course and I’m happy to get it done,” Simpson said after receiving the trophy.
Speaking on behalf of KCM Acting CEO Malcolm Mewett, Brian Siatubi thanked players, sponsors, partners and organisers and reaffirmed KCM’s commitment to sport, tourism and community development.
The event also featured a junior golf clinic that engaged more than 60 young golfers from across the Copperbelt, giving them a chance to learn from Sunshine Tour professionals.
