President Hakainde Hichilema has held a community engagement meeting in Lumezi district, Eastern Province, where he announced that the works on the Chipata–Lundazi road will be prioritised.
President Hichilema also said human–animal conflict, which is a major concern for residents, will be addressed.
The Head of State urged the people of Lumezi to vote for the United Party for National Development (UPND) in the August 13, 2026, elections, in order to ensure continued sustained development.
President Hichilema, is on a two-day working visit to Eastern Province.
Tomorrow, President Hichilema is expected to visit Nyimba, Petauke and Lusangazi and Sinda districts.
