  1. Good example of how history and the way we carry ourselves on national issues affect our future and day to day living. Always stand On the truth and people will fight your battles.

    • PF have Tutwa Ngube and KBF Kelvin Fube has their main lawyers, I can’t think of any other lawyers. Given Lucinda is not a lawyer. so embarrassing

    • Congratulations to UPND oh! sorry to Linda Kasonde and the UPND legal team for scooping the position of vice, at least you now have a voice be heard when you cry wolf.

  2. Congratulations to Linda on this meritorious achievement. I look forward to a day when appointment of a woman to a senior position will be accepted not necessarily as exceptional because a woman has got it, but because they deserved it. Linda we are proud of you. As a woman I take pride in your appointment because you deserve it, not because you are a woman. God bless you

  3. Congratulations Linda. I wish u could be appointed as chief justice right now. Because u are fit fit to hold that position.

    • @Luther, that’s just what’s wrong with Kasondes’ selection. There ARE former and current Chief Justices that the Commonwealth should have sought to give the role to. They are proven to be fair and unbiased, which Kasonde is not. It’s just another sad attempt by Commonwealth to cause political problems in Zambia especially as this is being done leading into general elections preparations.

  4. Congratulations Ms Kasonde! As a Zambian woman, I can’t express how proud we are of you so just know we are doing a ‘happy dance’ in your honor!

  5. Congrats Linda Kasonde for your achievement. Go girl go. Fly the Zambian flag. Go Linda go. Stand tall. We are proud of you.

  6. Linda Kasonde is a real shining star especially against the pitch darkness of the PF misrule in the form of illegal salaries given to PF Members of Parliament who continued occupying ministerial offices during the official campaign period of the 2016 general elections which she successfully fought. The courts ruled: THE MONEY MUST BE PAID BACK. Indeed power corrupts leaders who easily espouse any partisan idea as long as it makes them popular even if it is clearly wrong or of evanescent value.
My hearty congratulations to you mama; never look back. you an an oasis of courage in the Zambian desert where everyone lives in fear of well known predatory elements in our country. It is not through empty words [which has become a norm in our country unless someone stands to gain corruptly] but…

  7. Congratulations for Kicking ass Ms.Linda Kasonde. They pushed you around at LAZ , only to rise high. What a woman!!!!

  8. People in Zambia should not be blinded by nor forget the ‘divide and rule’ tactics of the Commonwealth. This woman is not the best legal blade in Zambia because she is biased and a thorough opposition party support nusance.

We have more suitable candidates that are far more suitable. You can see already that all the NGO gang of nonsense purveyors in Zambia are hitting the WiFi waves in mock victory celebrating another level to ply their skulduggery. These people have brought an air of hopelessness in the Zambian political scene mainly because of their failure to be balanced in their campaigns and desruptive conduct.

    • At the end of the day, people want the democratic right to vote for their govt and then for them to concentrate on governing; ideally, with opposition proving a healthy constructive input. We don’t want negativity in every step taken in govt dispensing it’s duty. We want constructive inputs not malicious, year on year out campaigning for an unsuitable megalomaniac opposition man. that’s HH by the way, leave no doubt.

The Commonwealth should not tamper with Zambian government sovereignty. We will not be divided to be conquered. Bad move.

  9. LINDA KASONDE may be described as a “woman who is not the best legal blade in Zambia” allegedly “because she is biased and a thorough opposition party support nuisance”. But the court victory she won against the PF and its government is second to none in the history of LAZ if not of Zambia. Remember it was the republican president (LUNGU) who was at the centre of that case.
Accusing her of being an opposition sympathizer instead of analyzing the facts of the case with impartiality so that you identify the lawbreaker may be soothing to the bruised egos of the losers but it is dangerous because you will miss the legal lessons inherent in the case. MAYBE IGNORANCE IS BLISS WHEN THE TRUTH IS INCONVENIENT!

    • @Better must come, please try not to take simple opinions into another stratosphere. She is biased, when did she act on behalf of current govt? Did she act diligently to support the new constitutional changes and did she act to encourage opposition to back the bill of rights approval? It’s not her winning that matters it’s what she chooses to win on. That’s what the bias claim is based on. AND she is not the sharpest legal blade, we’ve had current and past chief justices that have proven their mettle who could have been appointed. In any case she’s merely Vice, which means a cover role not in chief.
