Fashion Joins March Friendly No-Shows

Striker Fashion Sakala has become the latest no-show for Zambia’s March FIFA Window friendlies.

The Glasgow Rangers striker will miss the friendly against Congo-Brazzaville on March 25 in Turkey after reportedly testing positive for Covid-19.

Fashion joins Leicester City striker Patson Daka who is not available due to a family matter.

Others out include Amazulu midfielder Augustine Mulenga who is injured and Danish-based midfielder Edward Chilufya of Midtjylland who has been ruled out due to what the club has stated as an illness.

  1. These European clubs want African players but dont want to support African national teams. Ask Nigeria, Cameroon,or Ghana. The argument for adopting the European season in Africa was so that we all have one calendar and the international fixtures dont interfere with European club soccer. But here we are asking for our players for international fixtures and the clubs who arent playing anything are hanging on to OUR players. Africa will always be manipulated by Europeans.

  2. Why moderate sports content? There is a conspiracy against African football in Europe. Period!

  3. What is Fashion himself saying? Kalusha never connived with clubs toevade a call-up

  4. Coach forgot to call Benson Sakala. Benson should change to center back, he played 2 matches as center back in national team and performed great.
Ok now they have that center back boy from Inter Miami in USA, he is good, I have watched him. Hope coach give him all full friendly games.
