Jacob Mulenga Arrives in Johannesburg

FC Utrecht forward Jacob Mulenga has joined the Chipolopolo squad that is camped in Johannesburg preparing for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Faz spokersperson Erick Mwanza who confirmed said Mulenga arrived in camp on Saturday evening.

Mulenga missed the 2012 Africa Cup due to injury.

Striker Emmanuel Mayuka of English side Southampton is expected to join the team on Monday.

Meanwhile, Mayuka was unused substitute in Southampton’s 5-1 loss to Chelsea in Saturday’s FA Cup third round tie at St Mary’s Stadium.

Coach Herve Renard is early this week expected to announce his final 23-member team for Nations Cup which runs from 19 January to February 10.

  1. These English Clubs are just wasting our players. Next time we will see Mayuka gaining weight like Mbesuma for luck of activity. I hope the same does not happen to Jacob and Sunzu. We should include game time in contracts.

  2. @ kci your point about game time need to be considered seriously. If they want to be using our boys for training then it should be mentioned in contracts these boys are in their prime time. They should not be warming the bench always. FAz please get to the bottom of this issue.

  3. Angola beat us, Chris, Chamanga, Chansa, should be starting on the bench. Chivuta and Kalililo should be dropped from the final 23.

  4. Where is Given Singuluma, Cliford Mulenga and Roger Kola? What merit is Chivuta, Kalilo and Chamanga picked over these quality players come on Zambia lets voice out for the marginalised players Ba Kalu Zambia first not self
