President Michael Sata’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations George Chellah has laughed off reports that he has been placed on administrative suspension.

Mr Chellah has since revealed that President Sata has infact offered him a three year contract renewal.

Posting on his personal Facebook Page, Mr Chellah described the reports that his job is on the line as hilarious.

“Isn’t it hilarious, just when his Excellency Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata has renewed my three year contract, that’s when somebody who dearly loves me unleashes a fake story that I have been fired or is it suspended? Oh boy! I love my online media colleagues; they’re creative in a negative way. Lol,” Mr Chellah wrote.

Speculations over Mr Chellah’s future at State House have hit overdrive following the sacking of Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba who was seen as a close ally of Mr Chellah.

Some online media outlets reported that Mr Chellah has been placed under ‘administrative’ suspension and his movements around Statehouse restricted.

    • If I was you Chella I would have kept quiet because Sata ‘s regime is highly unpredictable. Come tomorrow you be gone my friend.

    • Chellah is valueless to me. In fact Beshi Sata can work better without “special assistant” of Facebook.
If Bene Chishi Sata need communicate with me and other Zambians he can just tell Bashi Katema to tell us.
      What is Chellah for anyway?

    • What is going on here? Since when did political appointments, particularly to the office of Special Assiatnt to the President fro Press ad Public Relations, become contractual? And how can Sata give Chellah a contact beyond his mandate, when Sata’s employers are yet to renew his own contract, which expires in 2016?

    • @Wanzelu,
Exactly what I thought after reading Chellah’s boasting, if I were him as things are going now I would be quietly thinking and worried where I would be tomorrow without Sata. Most probably you will be on the run.

    • @London eye

You are spot on. There is a lot of uncertainty in PF for any one any f00l to feel safe like this traitor Chella is feeling.

What Chella does not know is that out the beans he spilled ,team B still trying to extract more info from him so they can nail Kabimba and Mmembe cartel even more. Once team B is through with Chella, they will just sack him like they did with Kabimba. This might happen in the course of next week.

Chella should start praying hard to avoid his demise.

    • Chellah, there is no such a thing as being ‘creative in a negative way’. You can only be creative, docile or destructive!

  1. Fred Mmembe and Kabimba you now have your answers on who sold you out. It is no ther than your boy Chellah himself. Trust a Bemba at your own peril!

  2. This man was never fit to hold the office assigned to him. He could have learnt a thing or two from Dickson Jere on how presidential affairs are handled at that level. Rather than post the comment, he should have posted a copy of his contract renewal or best still, just kept quiet about the whole thing. Last kicks of a dying horse or is it dead horse?

  3. How can they renew your contract for three years when there will be elections in 2016? This dies not make sense I wonder which school Chella when to sometimes it is best to just shut up, winter had learnt the gard way careful young man.

    • Even a footballer knows better than talk about specifics of his contracts BUT in Zambia you have this imbe.cile bragging about his contract extension when its taxpayer’s footing his wages not Sata as he is alluding…. only in Zambia wake up people from your docility! !

  4. Just from what I know, its possible for Chela’s contract to be renewed for three years. Most of these guys have contracts in periods of three which includes Ambassadors and permanent secretaries. Therefore, there is no Maths to try to add. On the other hand, his statement can b taken as ambiguous or tautology if sense has to be filtered from his comments. It may mean he had a 3 year contract which has been renewed but that doesnt mean for 3 years

  5. Nice twist George! the haters are disappointed — there was even a fake story about Amos Chanda and Emmanuel Mwamba fighting over your job. Which job? Agony indeed.

  6. So were you off sick when the president received credentials from chinede ambassador? And has the president’s facebook page been shut down?

  7. CHELLA IS A TRIBE’S MATE OF YOURS AND WHO CAN FIRE HIM? PEOPLE REVOTED TO CHASE GBM OUT OF THE PARTY BUT BECAUSE WAS MUNYINA, WHAT DO WE SEE, WAS HE FIRED? WHO IS HE THAT HAS BEEN FIRED EVEN KAMBWILI ANOTHER VUVUZELA HAS NEVER BEEN THROWN AWAY. SEE HOHOHOOOOOOO! TRIBALISTS.

  8. How can cycle Mata extend Chellah’s contract when he Sata’s contract ends in 2016? is he implying that Chellah will leave beyond Sata’s term?

    • When did such civil servants in Zambia start getting contracts? That post for Chella does not call for a contract as others want us to believe. Am I missing something? Remember Mwamba was appointed Sata to Permanent Secretary as a transfer in protocol because Chiluba died and that did not take him out of employement.

  9. SCHOOL TIME! OK, Sit down all of you little upnd nincompoops, Does RB have an assistant? When did he hire him? Good! Does HH have a press assistant? Does he have to be in state house to have one? Good answers. Now answer this question. Is Chela a state house press aid or Santa’s aide? Mwefikopo mwee!!!

  10. This firing culture should now be extended, someone should now fire themselves because they are incapacitated and unable to work as mandated by the we The people. Am sick. to death. I will now vamoose!!!

  11. Sorry to hear that your wife could start such a damaging rumour….yes YOUR wife! That is the only person who could ‘dearly love me’. Oooops!

  12. Instead of being special ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT this guys is a special traitor…leaking all sort of Information to M’membe

  13. Chellah’s imbecility exposed again. Any professional would be talking about how grateful they are for another opportunity and promising to work hard. Not those bratty posts. Its a matter of time, George will also learn, like Kabimba, how Zambians are disgusted that his ineptness still has room in that high office.

  14. 3 years! Does the president know that his mandate ends in 2 years time and he has to seek another mandate from the Zambian people. This shows how dull Chela is. Ati 3 years, how! Think thru your lies first young man!

  15. Hmmm Mr Press aid. The subject matter is anything but ‘hilarious’. Suspect choice of words from someone who is supposed to advise the President on communication

  16. You children of garden boys and plumbers, stop demonizing the youngma. Jealous ba galu. Its allah who gives not man. Not even your gradnd children and their great will reach were george is
