MUVI TV Statement over Chishimba Kambwili’s conduct

Share

MUVI television management would like to express its displeasure over the unruly conduct of Honorable Chishimba Kambwili MP at our studio premises on the night of Tuesday 19th January 2010.

On this material day, Mr. Kambwili drove into our premises and informed security personnel at the gate that he had come to pick up Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba after he featured on Tuesday’s edition of the Hot Issue programme.

Upon parking his vehicle the Roan MP in the company of some PF sympathizers forced their way into the stations reception foyer seeking audience with Antonio Mwanza and Stanford Kabwata, who were also guests on the same programme over views they had expressed regarding the topic of discussion.

MUVI T.V is possession of footage of Mr. Kambwili’s aggressive and unruly conduct against the two defenceless guests.

As management we are extremely disappointed with this behaviour and unreservedly apologize to our guests who were harassed whilst in our premises.

Furthermore we believe in providing a fair and conducive platform for all stakeholders to express their views on various national issues freely without intimidation.

As an institution we would like to assure the general public that we shall endeavor to ensure the safety of all our guests and clients whilst in on our premises.

May we also take this opportunity to strongly warn that MUVI T.V will not tolerate nor associate itself with individuals and organizations perpetuating violence in the nation.

The matter has since been reported to police for further investigations.

  1. Ba Muvi while you are at it, you should also apologise for allowing that MMD thug to insult and threaten Edith Nawakwi and the others on air

  2. An amalgamation of thugs to the core. The very core of PF including the highest man in PF dating back to Chawama massacre, perhaps the killing of Mr. Tembo Mr. Penza. How the case of bundling up, kidnapping and private imprisonment of Mr. Zulu has not ended up in imprisonment of some of these hoodlums is difficult to fathom. Zambia risks drifting back to Lenshina days. With such a long history of intolerance, the debate of suitability of PF as a government of the people should not even have begun.

  3. MUVU TV management, Could you please avail us of the video footage of Chris Chalwe on his threats to “Gang Rape” FDD president Edith Nawakwi.
We really need this on YouTube or on your website which I have searched without success.
    Pleeeeeeeeaaaaseeeee!!!!!!!

  4. MMD, PF and UPND are really beginning to erk my humble concious, not forgetting their rogue squadron ULLP and theother mouth pieces. When are we getting leadership hhat cares. Kaunda’s family is ruling and we suffer non freedoms again. Incase you have forgotten Kaunda made Numerous trips to Banda’s residence when he knew LPM was never returning. Remember this is the same Kaunda that said God in heaven and Kaunda on earth what sheer blasphemy. The evils of our leaders are what have plagued Zambia.

  5. well said # 2 Big Mule.
PF by virture of their conduct in public, to the genral public is astoundingly genocidal. Zambian pipo you have to be worried very worried by prospect of a PF GRZ. watch the Idi amin Dada films.

  6. I blame the people of Copperbelt and Roan in particular for lack of good and NOT better choice.I mean how can you vote for such a person? Imagine if Kambwili is Minister of home Affairs!! Even you LT will be harrassed and probably closed and the blogging will be history.Iam happy NOT to be associated with PF especially the their leader Michael Chilufya Sata who only inspires Kabovas.

  7. Some of you are talking without points and reason. Before you make a devil out of Kambwili, ask yourself what you have done for the very people of Roan. Go to Roan and ask what Kambwili has done for the people of Roan starting with the Roan General Hospital you will be amazed and embarrassed. The problem here is not about the life of Kambwili and the people of Roan but about his conduct on the 19 January. Remember that there is always a second version of the story to which you have not been availed to. I wonder how Zambia are good at judging a story single sided.

  8. Covert operating wings should waste no time but shadow this loose thug for a Dakota end.To his fantasy, he thinks flashing a simple 9mm caliber pistol on innocent intellectuals can subdue the country.Pull a Uzi on him or withdraw state security from him so he can redeem himself from common street street armed robbers roving the streets.

  9. Things are getting worse now. I wonder if the post will still be in existance when these thugs will win. We will go back to the Chiluba Era of silent elimination. These guys are thugs who should never be near power. These are people who have never proved any success in their lives apart from resorting to force and holiganism. Winter Kabimba has never done anything that has succeeded in his life his own clinic is now dead and he wants to resort to power for tax payer money as his last resort, thats why he is so desperate. You thugs if you do not know, your popularity has reduced because of your hooliganism. Shame on PF and you will never rule us on dead bodies.

  10. What would you expect from PF Kaponyas, Kabwili just like Sata is arrogant, violent and ignorant. We shouldn’t allow this bunch of thugs rule our country.

  11. What is our country getting to. Some MMD Chairperson is threatening to gang-rape Nawakwi, Chishimba Kabwili, an “Honourable” Member of Parliament is threatening and brandishing a gun at innocent & unarmed individuals. Lets not allow our country to turn into a country of thugs? I pray and ask the leaders of these thugs to discipline them.

  12. MUVI TV nice try!!
While we condemn this out spoken opposition MP in level terms, I would also like to question MUVI TV’s stance on national issues since its winning of the lincese from RB. From the Chansa Kabwela interview after her release, I have come to treat MUVI TV with an open conscience and one eye open.
fellow bloggers we know the capabilities of the Govt in power vis a vis corruption and bribes to be specific. A once vibrant private TV getting compromised before our very own eyes. Who today and I mean right now will stand and tell me that Muvi TV has not changed negatively?
Kambwili must also be realistic. That was pure tresspassing. The Antonio duet are just a disgruntled & disappointed youths who have realised that politics is the only way out of their own poverty trap.

  13. MUVI TV is slowly getting boring. We will however keep our hears and eyes open. What can we say? :-??

  14. Did somebody proof read the statement? I would be conscious to take in anything from a Zambian company called “Muvi” what a joke!!!

  15. I dont think the statement was proof ready!
Ba Muvi we are watching you with an interesting eye!
    Good luck!!!!!:-?:-?
