Zambia Police Service Police Spokesperson Ndandula Siamana says the police is not aware of the harassment or barring of some individuals from entering the funeral house of the late second republican President Fredrick Chiluba.

Police Spokesperson Ndandula Siamana told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that the service have not received any report from any mourners contrary to claims by some quarters claiming that they were being harassed by suspected Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) cadres at the funeral house.

She has since advised the public to report to the nearest police station if they are being harassed or barred from attending the second republican President’s funeral.

The Police Spokesperson maintained that the police will not work or take any action on alleged perpetrators of violence based on media report hence the need for affected mourners to report their cases to the nearest police station.

She disclosed that the police have deployed its officers to ensure that the there is security at the funeral house and at the lodge where the funeral is being held.

Yesterday, a radio phoenix reporter is alleged to have been barred from entering the premises of the lodge in Lusaka where the funeral of Dr. Chiluba is being held.

  1. it does not mean if they have not reported then there is no harrassment the police in main incidence you failed to act if the mmd is involved in violence. the police fear william banda like anything because where is fond there is story of violence why? you police you want to deny because nobody reported what is that reasoning is this cap you cover your heads covers even the mind to reason freely?

  2. What she’s refusing doesn’t make sense.Maybe she has even witnessed the harassments.Pipo shud just avoid going there let MMD mourne alone. It’s sad mu Zambia

  3. You have always shown your ineptness when it comes to MMD . Is it not your responsibility to investigate reports rather than sit at your police stations and wait for individuals to walk in to report?

  4. Marubbish!! so yu mean all these pipo ie cosmo, nawakwi, mutale, radio phoenix gal et al are all liers?? Iwe kasiamana is that wat yu were taught at lilayi to sit in yo scrafy offices and wait until a crime has been commited??? What the hell are yo CIOs doin? Answer my question!!!

  5. I dont mean to divert from the subject but I am impressed at least there is a laptop on her table wgich is an improvement for Zambia Police. May be I can chat with her on facebook.

  6. I Love ndandula siamana, anybody with a direct number, she looks monga sikaenda na ku toilet. Act professionally Police…U know if PF goes their it will be another mongu massacre why not come out in the open instead of lying that all is well.

  7. Thats Zambia for you. Always wanting to believe the worst. What a terrible seed that has been planted in The Zambian’s hearts. If it is from the Post then it is true and any other source its false. Really playing into Mmembe’s web.

  8. Dear Ndandula. Its like you have nothing better to talk/do in that office apart from talking nonsence. Can I marry you so that apart from adding a title Mrs N.S Vuvuzela, you also become my housewife to do better things in my kitchen and bedroom instead of being fooled by bloggers.

  9. This mentality of the Police sitting back whenever William Banda is committing genocide will one day blow over in turn into a big civil catastrophe. Is the president not aware of the violence this guy is causing? or may be he has the blessings of Rupiah. And on the other hand, don’t we have assassins in this country to ki.ll this sun.of.a.bitc.h William? The Police and the MMD should try and safeguard the peace by both acting to prevent violence, bring to book perpetrators.

  10. Imwe bantu please!!! Spare the beautiful police lady!!! There is no violence or threats, just in the same way as there is no funeral for Chiluba.

  11. It is asd in Zambia that even the police can not act when it comes to William Banda and MMD thugs. Police should go the funeral house instead of just sitting in the office and wait for reports. We would not want ot see what happened to Magande at another funeral happen to SATA.

  12. I thought she was different and had some brains but alas! She is a dunderhead also! How does she refute the truth that is bare for all to see. If the police do not know this they are the most useless and sleepy lot Zambia has ever produced! Why then did they tell Sata not to attend for ‘security’ reasons! Iwe Ndandula the head was not just meant for decorating with hats but for some brains as well.

  13. The viper is just afraid of his own shadow to go to the funeral lodge or he doesnt know hw the family will look at him after that loose talk about his freind.( Nisoni bamudala cabe)

  14. Very interesting, the so called public media iz buzy spreading word that The Post demonized Chiluba even in hiz death and have gone further to parade “concerned citizenz” condeming the private newspaper’z 19/06/11, editorial comment. We have read the editorial and so have a lot other people though.
Now we have the State Police saying there are no reported alleged unsightly scenez at FTJ’z funeral. There have been reports of such vicez in the private media. Lord Jehova God Almighty help us.

  15. our police service is full of rubbish and nonsense ! they,r a disgrace to mankind. i wish them (police chaps) a quick death ! *****s

  16. Beautiful Ndandula, don’t be used like the one they pick from the streets….plse don’t deny that these things are not happening because to do so means that you are implying that Rev. Edith Mutale is a habitual liar and just wants to strip in public…these are grave insults to our mother/grandmother and you being a woman I expect that where ever your fellow womenfolk are under threat, you personally go and investigate. Don’t repeat this again…nafulwa sana!

  17. If you haven’t received any reports of violence the the entire police “force” is not working, the re deaf or scared of RB and his chief vigilante William Tekere Banda ESQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Sad my comment was not posted. Will you marry me Ndandu? I want to start advising you as a husband so that you can stop telling lies because only then can you be set free. The last time I listened to your interview on radio. you were single and from that day I said this is my girl. You are too beautifull to tell lies. Look at those that tell lies. If they dont have big noses then they are red lipped or worse still have no morals like that fat lady who inspects schools and you are none of those. I love you and hurts me to read your lies.

  20. its so true..if anyone was harrassed why didn’t they go to the police..everyone is free to go there !PF chaps are just malicious and dull!

  21. I THINK THIS NDANDULA SIAMANA IS ****ING WILLIAM BANDA WITHOUT CONDOMS, WHY IS SHE PROTECTING HIM?

  22. YOU FOOL, police in other countries are pro-active. You must take the initiative and be seen to act whether its MMD or not. When this country burns like Ivory Coast, you will not be sparred. Zambia does not spend billions of kwachas training you chaps just to sit in your offices to wait for reports. William Banda should have been questioned over his hate statement which is likely to cause breach of peace at a bereavement. Why do you think your master RB said let us mourn Chiluba with dignity. He meant that all Zambians be allowed to mourn the man who ruled us for 10 years. Thank God MMD’s time is up……………

  23. Funny that anything negative should even happen at the funeral. Police response is not at all surprising. Sad though that such a sensitive occasion should be taken so lightly by the police command. Who cares if no one reported? By the sound of her comments there probably isn’t any real protection being granted to mourners at all. Why do government wings just seem to want to take this country ever more backwards? Where is our pride for the work we do and the jobs we represent? Madam officer listen to yourself for goodness sake.

  24. Siamana and the entire police command please for once show your proffessionalism or the lack of it and act accordingly.Do you think in your right frame of mind that Rev Edith Mutale would lie about being harrassed,RB please show leadership by firing kabonde and sending william banda back to malawi. this country needs peace during this difficult time and not useless statements that borders on anarchy. If no statement is not issued by RB then we shall conclude that whatever this rabbid dog william banda is doing has a full backing of MMD and the government.

  25. Sometimes I wonder what RB has fed the Zambian police OCIFERS with? One day they shall even deny having *** despite being found ready handed on TOP. What a shame! It is surprising that now even women in uniform have started following the steps of the NSENGA woman. She is turnishing the image of the respected NSENGA women. Please all of you turn against her to restore your image. Zambian women were reknowned of their truthfulness, but not anymore. SHAME TO YOU NDANDULA….PLZ REFRAIN.

  26. I have a strong feeling that all this harassment talk is just a fabrication. There is a lot of William Banda and violence talk – this is also just crap – William Banda is such a tiny thing, He has no physical presence. If Mr Sata goes to the funeral house (I bet he is feeling so bad given that even Capt. Solo was able to reconcile with FJT) – then he is going to humble himself and pretend he is emotional – in jeopardy the answer would be “what is hypocrisy”. Mr Sata must have been banking on “when I go to Plot One I will teach him a lesson”, Only God knows my friends. Reconcile with your perceived enemies whenever you have an opportunity because we do not know what tomorrow looks like.

  27. Please spare the police we know this violence is caused by RB otherwise he could have stopped it, he has direct command over all security wings in zambia, absolute power and he want no correction thats why he appoints retired “yes bwanas” to heads all security wings; so don’t blame the police , william banda and Jerabos, these are just headless tin cans who want something to fill their stomachs. Its a shame for zambians to sit and watch our country slowly sinking into violence because of one man.
