Household property and two vehicles worth millions of Kwacha at Mr. Banda’s guest house and residence have been stolen and destroyed in the fracas.
Police officers had to rescue Mr. Banda who was in the house at the time.

  1. Sorry Mr. William Banda but you see some people believe in an eye for an eye. They are venting anger over the pain you subjected them to.  I am not supporting but merely stating that it is us human to revenge.  It is our nature. I guess you understand that as well.

  2. I FEEL PITY FOR THE WORKERS

BUT BANDA THOUGHT HE LIVED IN HEAVEN. TODAY HE KNOWS HIS TIME IS SLOWLY COMING TO AN END. AS L SAID BANDA WILL SLOWLY SNEAK INTO MALAWI.
MORE ARE COMING MR BANDA, WE STILL WANT YOUR HEAD DEAD OR ALIVE. YOU LIVED AS THOUGH YOU HAD NON SOUL. WHERE ARE YOUR CADRES TODAY. YOU NOW LOOK LONELY LIKE A WET CAB. WE STILL KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO, GIVEN ANOTHER LIFE LINE. BUT AS I SAID, THE END TO BANDA HAS FINALLY COME AND HE WILL GO FOR GOOD THIS TIME. GOODBYE SIR. WE MISSED CUTTING OFF YOUR HEAD.

  3. HE HAD IT COMING. HE TRODE ON SO MANY TOES AND ANGERED SO MANY PEOPLE. HE WAS ACTING LIKE A KING ON HIS OWN AND THE POLICE COULD NOT TOUCH HIM BECAUSE HE HAD A DIRECT LINE TO STATE HOUSE. REMEBER HE WENT TO A POLING STATION ARMEWITH A PISTOL AND EVEN FIRED IT WHEN HE WAS PROVOKED. NO SYMPATHY FOR THIS TYPE OF PARTY CADRE. HE DESREVES WHAT IS COMING TO HIM.

  4. This is uncalled for behaviour. If Mandela did not go for the whites who caged him for 27 years and those who mistreated africans why should we go after William Banda. What are you trying to prove?I hope this is not the new precedence in Zambia.Hope President Sata says something to his cadres.

  5. Here is a quote:

” Unless we protect the rights of the minority and the people whose views are different from ours, we cannot claim to have democracy but a new form of dictatorship which is tyranny by the majority” -MMD Chief Bootlicker

    • Where were you when William Banda was assaulting innocent Zambians with a different view? We chipuba we. Lelo mwanya fisushi fyenu

    • WWhere were you with your “wise quotes” when William Banda was commiting crimes against innocent civilians who had a different view? We chipuba we.

    • Nice quote MMD Chief Bootlicker. You should have thought about this while you were still in power, not after you were voted out of power! Good thought anyway!

  6. What sort of lawlessness is this. Just because someone held divergent views from you does not give you the right to abuse their basic rights. This is tyranny and undemocratic. The PF should show real leadership by taming their cadres. A govt based on vindictiveness, hatred, tyranny and vengeance is not a democratic govt.

PF is already showing signs of betraying the Zambian people. President Sata should stop victimizing the people who held divergent views from his.

    • Iwe Capitalist…. do you know how many pipo suffered under that fool…. when he was doing his sh!t didnt he think it was lawlessness… uli kachi colour sana, dont eve blame PF blame William for starting first atase …..

    • Uli chipuba Capitalist. William Banda did not only hold divergent views, he went further and assaulted women some of whom with babies strapped on their back in Chongwe. How do you call this divergent view? This iddiot was intolarant and diserve the kicking. So far i hear he was seen in Katete heading to where he came from……

    • Ba capitalist were were you when this fool was terrorising innocent people, the fracas he caused in Chongwe, just beofre elections.banda deserves this sort of lesson. Nyama soya was much aware and approved his conduct.

  7. WILLIAM BANDA’S POLITICS WHERE NOT ABOUT VIEWS BUT INTIMIDATION AND VIOLENCE. HE IS ONLY GETTING A DOSE OF WHAT OTHERS FELT WHEN HE WAS IN CHARGE. HE TERRORISED TOWNSHIPS, MARKETS AND BUS STOPS. WAIT TILL WE FIND CHANDA CHIMBWI AND MUMBI!

  8. Kanshi kalikwetepo na babonfi akamufyashi, too bad for the former workers. But I dont know what to say about ba Willia, because kalipanga sana ama headlines akamufyashi. Rupiya is no where to protect him. anyway, too bad this happened.

  9. BANDA WAS NOT THINKING. LOOK WHAT HE DID TO HH Supporters is kafue, let alone Sylvia recently in Chongwe.

Removing other parties posters just because RB would be there. RB knew all these and the police were just standing. It would not be fair to those he terrorized to see him enjoying the the freedom while some are still nursing scars and wounds. Bus stations were his dens.

It is not PF cadres, but those he mistreated. They are now coming back. If he wants life he should never return to Lusaka again. this time its for good we mean it.

  10. #9, I totally agree with you. William Banda was all about violence and not about political views. He even confessed that he was at the centre of violence in Chongwe. In life whatever action you take will have good or bad consequences on you in future. You get the fruits of the seed you sow. I am just stating how life seems to operate, no ill feelings for William Banda.

  11. William Banda is only getting an overdose of the same bitter pill he prescribed for innocent Zambians. Just like I said when he survived the Chibolya incident, I am also repeating here that he is lucky he escaped with his useless life, Chi.kala chakwe. They should have burnt him from the house with petrol ma.tole yakwe. Any way there is no place to hide, u can run but you can,t hide musula obe. Epamubalo chimbwi!

  12. #13 NAPAPA SANA. I totally agree with you when you write “you get the fruits of the seed you sow”.  The basic nature of God’s Justice: GALATIANS 6: 7 (KJV)  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

  13. My heart goes out to William Banda regardless of what he did in the past. At the end of the day we are all Zambian & should not treat each other like this.

  14. #6 and #8:
I don’t think its ‘divergent views’ but divergent and violent behavior’. The old man could mishave big time, obviously!

  15. I feel pity for the workers as well,, But William Banda deserves that, the man is heartless. When you hit the heavens with false energy it will hit you back seven times worse.. well done guys. NEXT HOUSE PLEASE!!!!!!

  16. A good lesson for William Banda! He thought the law was in his hand when he was committing atrocities. It’s “chickens coming home to roost”!

  17. I feel pity for the workers as well,, But William Banda deserves that, the man is heartless. When you hit the heavens with false energy it will hit you back seven times worse.. well done guys. NEXT HOUSE PLEASE!!!!!!

  18. I can easily tell that the ladies in the video clip are doing it the ‘Crocodile Tears Way”. With a Vote for SATA T-Shirt! lol!!! Yazanda William Banda wayamba ukubutauka!!! We used to tell you ati tekanya, ifintu nipa easy, you thought we were stupid! We will fish you out from where ever you are hiding mukukulu iwe.

  19. Sad situation. Any act of violence and hooliganism should come to an end. Let us practice 21st century politics. In as much as Banda had enemies let’s move on and be in a hurry to develop our beloved Zambia. Congratulations to H.E M C Sata and the PF.

  20. If you live by the sword you die by the sword.

He should have expected this. If this man was in opposition, he would have gone in ages ago. Hope he doesn`t do a runner. If he did anything wrong he should be tried by the courts and reasons given as to why he didn`t go in when he should have done if he is found guilty.

Not condoning what happened, but some people just deserve what they get.

  21. although i dont support this but remember not all are christians so be careful as you go on in your life remember the one who plays with a sword will die with a sword as jesue said to peter.

  22. Ba LT why say PF cadres. It is the People William Banda harrassed, injured, insulted and victimised that have turned to give him his own dose.

Dont say PF cadres again. when William Banda was beating up people, you chose not to condemn him. See what has happened NOW?!!!!

  23. Over 800 people involved? Where were the police? This is what happens when you give a blind eye to important things. This is why we had been calling for change.

  24. i have no nice words for this ka chimbwi but i feel for the workers. this is a good lesson to realise that government positions are not personal to holders. kapulumuka kachimbwi sembe kenzemo munyumba sembe kaya. He needs to appologies to the people he offended then he will be let alone.

  25. #Chanda Chimbwi; Lifwekelo, Edward Mumbi and the rest; Chris Chalwe’s case should now go back to court for wishing to rape Nawakwi. I was so disgusted, I cannot hide. Yet their former boss kept quiet; not kowing that they were in fact decampaigning him. These people have families, workers, surely you couldn’t think twice about the consequences? Joe Kalusa was busy insulting Sata; and he, in the end, forced HH to take a wrong strategy. If people listened to Professor Chirwa, we would have had an even more united front. The poor professor kept quiet; who can attack him? No one!! Yet the rest went further; beyond reasoning. If that will be accepted in PF, we will have to remove them soon. Any William Banda style of support, will make PF cramble!

  26. we told the but the did no listen. they all did not listen starting with RB when we wanted a Constitution, when we wanted windfall taxes. We are coming after u George Kunda, Chanda Chimba, Dora, William

  27. He had it coming; actually he is lucky for not being in Jail. William Banda’s Behavior was unacceptable and no one in MMD condemned him. They embraced his doings. Why only him? Is he the only MMD Cadre? This is because of what he did to PF Cadres.
I don’t encourage revenge but well done PF; let him feel to be a victim.

  28. This is good, Banda thougth he is heaven beat him had guys! The other victim to be beaten is Dora Silya, Ronnie Shikapwasha, Kunda George, the ***** called Chanda Chiiba 3 and the entire ZNBC management. Wafwa I m coming to Zambia next week with a shombock.

  29. Lawlessnes should not be tolerated. Where were the POLICE? Those found with stollen goods MUST be arrested and prosecuted. Even if it is revenge, it should not be done this way but through the courts of law. One Zambia One Nation.

    • The police did not arrest him when mmd was in power even Rb did not condemn William so don’t blame the guys who are revenging. You reap what you sow.

    • *****!! Have you ever trusted zambian courts whose judges were appointed by William/Rupiah Banda? I never thought the US harbours such fools!!

  30. Now maybe its gonna stick in that thick head of urs. What goes around comes around u piece of ###.. FTJ shipped u to Malawi, we give u a second chance, only to come back and spit in our face. U should be thanking ur lucky stars..i would have shipped u back to Malawi. Let this be a lesson to all. PF cadres ..will be watching u 2

  31. I do not condone violence. If it was not good enough under MMD, then it is not good enough under PF. It can be argued that William Banda is a special case here. He and Chalwe embraced violence and were protected by MMD. Therefore, it is easy to see how they can find themselves being beaten up. Nonetheless, they are entitled to police protection. As for those who constantly ‘insulted’ Sata, they were not being violent. It is a free country. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. MMD Chief Boot Licker, Senior Citizen, etc they call Sata all sorts of names. There is no law against using rude words against anyone!

  32. I do not support this behaviour even though my greatest desire was to see a government change in Zambia and I was really for Mr Sata, yet this behaviour is wholly unwell come. MMD supporters are now crying for PF to discipline their cadres but they forget that they did the same thing. I think the Presidents in power at a particular time has the power to control such behaviours and bring sanity to politics and change things otherwise such trends will continue with every party that comes to power. There is need to educate party cadres. Yes it is human nature to be angry and look for revenge but if people are properly taught this could be avoided.

  33. This is a good lesson to all who take others fo granted. But it is better to learn from others than the lesson be learned on you. Ba William could not remember what happened to him under Chiluba. He thought ba Lupiya Banda is for ever now he has to suffer this way. We may be sorry for him but let him be the most sorry person for himself for not remembering what happened to him under Chiluba. This time even the juju he promised to use to safe guard MMD could not work, any way he was just ranting. He is a very dull old man. YOU REAP WHAT YOU PLANT. Let us pray that this does not become the order of the day for all PF enemies like; Chanda Chimba, but let them apologise and tell us who was paying them before they are forgiven.

  34. It’s not PF who are teaching this man a lesson,it’s Zambians he victimized -Police are just responding a bit slow-lol for reasons known to all of us

  35. I wounder if anyone is after Dola Slit!!!! Kamudala He thought he is a god in Zambia, well said equal and opposit reaction simple!!!

  36. Mr. Will
life without reflecting ba tata its non worth, you thot MMD will stay forever and be in favour with your dids..now you see you are alone where are the MMDs ?
    what a shame
    who is next……………??????????????

  37. Breaking News!!!!

William Banda has resigned from the opposition and joined the ruling PF party. He is believed to have even bought a PF card. lol!

  38. Mr Banda is a victim of crime and it behoves the state to compensate him. If Mr Sata is serious with the rule of law, then he must condemn this barbaric act and bring the culprits to book.

  39. The time william Banda was beating defenseless people and the confussions he was causing those women crying in this video clip they did not cry for people william Banda mistreated and they never at all advised him to stop, but WHY are they cyring now for william Banda who did the Same to others? I find it strange, Stop faking It you poor women.

  40. #6 chief bootlicker  so u are saying that behaviour of william embraced democracy unlike the behaviour of people who attacked william banda and broke into his properties? According to your quotation. Whats up with that?

  41. iam really in support with what they did to mr william banda.he was very violent and thought MMD is eternally.Remember you are not a zambian you are from malawi anytime from now they shall deport you, wait bashikulu get settled you will go man.waba itunfwi mukamutwe!!!!!

  42. No 43 PF has no cards.

The fact that what goes round comes round remains. Williams properties should not be broken. who knows we will have them forfitted to the state as surely all he used is likely to be state rsources and YOUR TAX was used.

AS for me I pray that SATA protects his life and still prosecute him for all his actions

  43. This in a way is laughable where MMD cadres are now preaching democracy over what has happened to william banda.
They even have the audacity to call william banda’s violence, thuggery and torment of innocent people as “holding divergent views”.
William banda had it coming. Where were all these MMD cadres when he was torturing the nation with impunity? why didn’t you reign in on him?
We know that you deliberately set him out on then opposition PF cadres with the blessings of the entire MMD party & govt leadership.
You laughed when PF cadres were being beaten, short at , harassed dehumanized and humiliated at the hands of cadres under the instructions from william banda.

  44. My message to all MMD cadres over william banda is that: stop shading crocodile tears, william banda had it coming , it was just a question of when.
    One william banda must die

  45. I hear pipo saying Guy scott is not eligible to be Vice President under the current law,can someone shade more data please?

  46. Muyembe r u from this planet? let me school u. this is the same prik that gave us sleepless nights during the UNIP era. FJT shippd him to Malawi. U know FTJ right? the midget who crashed our hopes and Dreams, with his Deliquent Son. Anyway Mwanawasa let him come back to zambia as a show of good faith. U would think the man had learnt his lesson, nop he joined the MMD and went thug life, with his co.. a said Chalwe, Terrorizing every peaceful Zambian

  47. We need to find him urgently. How long is he going to run for? William we will treat you fairly but you need to answer some questions. You will be a very good example of hownot to behave when in power.

    Ka*ma*ka*ka iwe. Where are you?

  48. How then is PF a different govt then?? You are saying Mr. William Banda curried out violence and forms of thuggery on people, in the same breathe you say the action that these PF cadres have carried against Mr. William Banda is justified??? How then is PF a different govt from MMD if they are doing the exact same thing MMD was accused of doing???

I thought a change of govt would entail a change in the way things are done but all I am seeing is the same apples in a different barrel. The worst part is the PF has started this lawlessness on people holding divergent views 2 days after assuming power. They forget that they are remaining with 88 days to deliver on the promises they made.

    • PF is very different in all ways imaginable. What has happened to william banda will certainly not be extended to the entire opposition MMD party. When william banda was torturing the nation with impunity, he was actually planting landmines and now he is walking in that same mine field with concrete shoes.
I have no shred of sympathy running in my veins for one william banda over the atrocities he has committed against innocent Zambians which ultimately gave MMD a characteristic identity as a violent party.
William banda must be hanged wherever he can be found. I stand for justice but this is one extrajudicial extermination I would gladly welcome if and when it happens. MMD does not need him neither does Zambia

  49. Who cares about 88 days. He has 5 years in front of him.

How can someone justify supporting William Banda? The question these rejects need to ask is, why William Banda alone? Infact he is lucky, they should have gone in quietly. What a pathetic person!

  50. Let the one who has never sinned cast the first stone. All you who have fornicated, told lies, stolen, etc do not have a right to judge William Banda.Sin is sin.You are also guilty. So what should be done to you? Just because you sinned in your past should it be ever held against you?Leave the man alone.Let the Law visit him.Lets not start breeding instant justice mobs in Zambia.

  51. Can someone tell me why men were stripping and walking in their underwear yesterday. Is it a sign of being homo or was it the heat or just plain stupidity?

  52. # 56 YOU KNOW WHAT WILLIAM BANDA WAS DOING,HE CAUSED ALOT OF CONFUSION,LET HIM BE ARRESTED AND BEATEN BY THE PEOPLE HE OFFENDED WHILE RB WAS IN POWER.LESSON TO ALL.

  53. Its unfortunte that people reacted in such a way. Leaders must lead by setting good examples when dealing with public affairs. Others will learn one or two things from this incident. I have always said we belong to one family i.e Zambian people. Now that elections are over and Sata decalred and sowrn in as Republican President lets all look forward to solving our various problems we are facing as a nation.

  54. mr capitalist, ask yourself why william banda alone has been attacked, this man had said that if it took juju for mmd to win the elections they could do so,imagine! kanshi he lives in bauleni compound,no wonder thuggery behavour,if he lived in another area nobody would ve botherd about him. mr capitalist, ask yourself why william banda alone has been attacked, this man had said that if it took juju for mmd to win the elections they could do so,imagine! kanshi he lives in bauleni compound,no wonder thuggery behavour,if he lived in another area nobody would ve botherd about him.

  55. I hope the Government can compensate the workers of Mr Banda, so that they can still have a decent life.

It is in the interest of social justice to compensate them. They should not lose their personal properties for having worked for Mr Banda.

As for Mr Banda, Chichewa chikuti, “Chaona mzako chapita, mawa chili paiwe” You sowed, now you are reaping. You need to repent and apologize to all the Zambians.

  56. @ #63 larisa

So that justifies the destruction of all his property which he worked hard for?? Why are you so vengeful??? I thought Zambia is a nation of laws, why are you PF guys trying to reduce it to a nation of mobs. How you can try to justify this is totally disgusting and unacceptable. You are just as bad as what you paint Mr. William Banda to be.

  57. #65 Capitalist. Lawlessness is reason this thug is going through this. I have said he needs to be arrested and if guilty sent to prison. The people who should have done something when this thug was breaking the law should give reasons why.

I did chuckle when I saw the video. Very nice. I feel sorry for his workers though.

  58. It’s sad and there’s no justification for it, but this time the campaign against Sata was really deeply vicious. Even though Sata and Banda have appealed for calm, people are only human.

  59. Mr. Capitalist , this is what happens when the justice system in the country goes to the dogs!!! William Banda must have been dealt with by the police.
Mr. Capitalist a simple question for you: do you think what William banda was doing was right.
I respect William Banda’s human rights (although he did not respect others human rights)..
The law must take its course. Next its Chris Chalwe..his cases must go back to court. let justice prevail.
Even those SATA bodyguards who beat up someone….let justice prevail…
OTHERWISE WE ARE WATCHING….ZAMBIANS ARE NOT DOCILE ANYMORE…FRIENDLY WARNING TO PF

  60. Good on the faka.he’s got whats coming to him.they shuld hav lynched the dog.
some of these mmd cadres r still living in dreamland. dream on…the axes are still being sharpened for the big fish ; Zesco , Boz, AG, DPP ,znbc and all the other compromised fakaz. ba fi color.

  61. Mr. Capitalist
How sure are you that WILLIAM BANDA worked hard for that property?
If justice is denied, natural justice must take its path….Lets have justice without political influence or else people will take the law into their own hands and this breeds LAWLESSNESS.
I sympathize with WB but he had it coming!! A lesson to other cadres to behave OR ELSE

  62. #Flier got to agree. I am waiting to hear how the Zamtel sale went. Someone is going to cry. They will not have to worry about flashing their bum. Oh dear!

  63. This is the first thing I have heard that mars the cautious optimism I held about the Sata victory. If the President does not condemn this,he condones it. If he condones it, it confirms the fears many people have about his style – anarchy and overlooking due process. This is wrong and must be condemned. I was looking for a picture of the inauguration and this features more than the blip on what should be a historic and memorable day.It is easy to say that William Banda deserves this but we do have such a thing as due process. ~Violence begets violence and if not stopped ends up consuming all. This is a huge stain on the first day of Mr Sata’s presidency.

  64. #27 & 40, I agree with you entirely, the attack on this terrorist Banda had nothing to do with PF cadres. This man trampled on everybody including the police. Please keep PF cadres out of this, it’s the other Banda’s (rupiah) fault. William Banda has never led a civilised life right from UNIP days and has always been protected by the presidents of his party. He led a terrorist army which was above the law and even Zambia police feared him. If I were him I would just go back home, Malawi.

  65. Taking the law in your hands is wrong!!! William is a Zambian citizen and deserves protection like every one else. The president needs to condemn this hooliganism. The police should pick the pelpetrators of this medieval anarch. It is equally wrong to suggest that this PF act. This is the work of hooligans.

  66. People, vengeance is the Lord’s. Two wrongs will never make a right. We know what Mr Banda was all about, but that is no reason we should take the law in our own hands and mete out justice even if he deserves it. We are doing it the wrong way. Someone should have the courage to take him to court for redress for whatever he did to them, and surely the law will definitely take its course, not this instant mob justice thing. It will just put an early blemish to our new found political dispensation. There are more urgent things to attend to right now for the new government than be engrossed in wanting to maim the hopeless Banda. Time will come for him to face the law, that’s for sure.

  67. It’s sad ro see the poor workers lamenting but Mr. William Banda should have known that things change and that you reap what you sow. You cannot sow violence and expect to reap peace.

  68. Why are people rushing to make conclusions that it is the PF behind this? William Banda never gave a hoot about anyone, he preyed on the weak ones who had no political connections so that they can start to support the MMD, this usually involved intimidation and violence. The locals are just trying to vent their anger at this thug who was untouchable to let him know that he can be touched. This should act as a warning to those in PF who want to follow in William ways of violence that they will also have to answer to the people for their violet behavior. The full blame should fall on the police, this could not be happening if they had there jobs without bias in the first place.

  69. I followed William Banda’s comment and for sure he had no respect for people what so ever. Of course i dont support this but this is what happens when u running a country with a lot of uneducated youths. They listen to what u say and when the time for them to attack comes, they will kill u. This should be a warning to our new government learn from this!!!!

  70. You reap what sow!
Don’t expect to reap apples when you have planted lemons.
For people who feel pit for William, did you expect a pat in the back for his violence?
William should expect  a bumper harvest in violence, so long as he is in Zambia. He should go back to Malawi or join RB at his farm. I don’t support violence, but hurting innocent people in the name of a party or a leader? sorry no sympathy from me, you deserve what you get.

  71. VIOLENCE BREEDS VIOLENCE.NO MATTER WHAT BANDA CRIMES HAD COMMITTED,VIOLENCE WON’T SOLVE ANYTHING.PLEASE ZAMBIANS,LET US UNITE AND MAKE A NEW START.
PF CADRES DON’T GO THE MMD WAY PLEASE!

  72. Depositing a ballot in a box uninterrupted is not even half the democracy we seek,Its about co-existence of individuals of opposing views and political ideolgies.Tolerance and not retribution is hallmark. In any democrancy there will people like William Banda, who by no means are worse than Michael Sata ever has been in his tracks to seek political office. If our fragile democracy should survive unconditional protection of everyone is a must. But first police, judicary and civil service need complete autonomy from the grip of indebtedness of a political appointee.Pre-emptive pronoucements of Sata during campaign to ‘revisit opponents once in office’ did little for peace.Made it hard for Kabonde to intervene in such cases as william Banda’s due to his own uncertain future.Outcome is this.

  73. Chapter of campaign is over. Sata must respond and call for justice by bringing perpetrators of the crime before the courts of law if we are going to have confidence in his leadership. Its clear revenge is never the answer. If it was, Chiluba would have shut the The Post long before he left office. Instead he tolerated criticism and insults. Most importantly, he gave us free market economy and freedom of expression. Mwanawasa derailed it for a while with his retribution, focusing on a few he had scores to settle with from his 1991 accident. RB streghtened the path, put in place reconciliation for the common good- development and advanced free market economy. While in office Sata is above the law but he knows it never lasts forever and justice must be seen to apply equally.

  74. @#88. Bystander. Freedon of speech is a basic human right. Don`t think you owe it to any person that we have got The Post. Do you think what RB did to ZNBC is right? PF where blacked out on ZNBC, Times and Mail. All we used to get was MMD propaganda.

Sometimes you wonder what sort of people we have here.

  75. #89 Contd. It`s an insult to talk about LPM and RB in the same breath. That is just ludicrous. Tell you what, if Sata was to work hard and get rid of this corruption RB has left us with and doesn`t do anything else, I will be happy.

  76. my maid who lives in the same neigbourhood as william banda says even mmd cadres participated becoz he had not distributed bicycles, tshirts, salaula, chitenges and other material who was supposed to have given them.so they were frustrated. she also says he used to make women form clubs then got membership fees promising to bring them more money for loans, which never happened. so seems the man had one too many enemies

  77. Everything changes. BaKavindele, Ba Sakwiba Sikota, and RB endorsed Tekere’s brutality. Now things have turned around. Tekere had a walkie takie directly communicating with RB at state house. This old bull was untouchable. But God the Almighty is for every one even us who were suppressed under MMD rule.

I think if this chap does not get deported, better we take him to International Court of Justice.

  78. This is good news to hear. Did you know that the singer Dandy Crazy was badly beaten by Jerabos in Kitwe because of the song “Donchi Kubeba”? Am happy to say that these Jerabos are now in custody its the MMD Wusakile aspiring candidate`s family which is gang leaders in thiese acts in Kitwe and the MMD knows that. May the LAW takes its course.

  79. rupiah bandas friendship with late chiluba is what has cost him his presidency. he embraced a thief to the surprise of every one.had another person replaced late levy or been tough on corruption mmd wud still be in power. let zanama president elvis nkandu and his secretary general also be dealt with. they became 2 big headed and supported mmd blindly. let their radio program be banned.

  80. The drama exhibited by these women is unacceptable. Why are they laughing loudly like that? Because of the ransacked house? These chaps are just overdramatising, even lieing that they got everything and nothing is left in the house!! But the same clip shows a kitchen with something that looks like laundry? Tabasendele fyonse iyo, nafishalako fimbi. The beating should extend to the following: Gregory Chifire, Siulapwa, Edward Mumbi, Chalwe, Dora and any other Pentecostal/Evangelical Pastor who prophesied lies that RB was chosen by god and that Sata was a devil… sorry i forgot to include Priscilla ‘Gregory’ Isaacs on the list.

  81. THIS IS THE NONSENSE PRESIDENT SATA AND HIS LEADSHIP SHOULD STOP. IF W. BANDA DID WRONG THAT IS THE REASON WE HAVE COURTS OF LAW TO DEAL WITH SUCH CASES AS LONG AS THE POLICE STOP BEING CORRUPT. SORRY FOR THE INNOCENT WORKERS.

  82. THIS IS THE NONSENSE, PRESIDENT SATA AND HIS LEADERSHIP SHOULD STOP GOING FORWARD. IF W. BANDA DID WRONG THAT IS THE REASON WE HAVE COURTS OF LAW TO DEAL WITH SUCH CASES AS LONG AS THE POLICE STOP BEING CORRUPT. SORRY FOR THE INNOCENT WORKERS.

  83. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW? HE CLAIMS TO HAVE HEADED TO EASTERN PROVINCE….MY FOOT ….MALAWI! BANDA NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON. LET HIM FACE CHARGES FOR ASSAULTING INNOCENT VILLAGERS IN CHONGWE. I WISH THEY HAD CRIPPLED HIM.

  84. I think most people who supporting William Banda have not lived in Zambia for a long time. This man absolute power to do anything he wanted. He was insulting policemen at will, he was untouchable. This lesson is even for PF members who must know that if they take William’s type of politics people will wait for there time.Others can be forgiven but not Willam Banda. So you guys who are out of this country find out before your make comments. This guy was terrorist who deserves instant justice even in the so called 21st Century.

  85. Read an entry by a blogger on ukzambians.co.uk  that William Banda has been arrested at a road block in Nyimba on his way to Malawi.

  86. What goes around comes around. william banda was untouchable most recently b4 elections. He’s lucky he’s ass didnt get buchered.Since he was inciting violence, it backfired in bulk..He felt no empathy during he’s mmd days, now he wants
simpathy zwaa iwe to hell with your mmd payrolled kabboyi’s  cry …mayo mayo mayo ifinshi. back to malawi iwe ..maalaabish.

  87. I think most people who are supporting William Banda have not lived in Zambia for a long time. This man had absolute power to do anything he wanted.

  88. Two wrongs are never and will never be equal to a right. It is now up to the PF leaders to show political will that they will not emulate William Banda. In times like these thieves or thugs take advantage. SATA is in power now the PF cadres should give him a chance to follow proper channels to try those that have committed violent acts including his own cadres otherwise what will be the difference? Sata should now stand up and condemn these acts of thurgery in the strongest possible terms otherwise he will go by the same acts. Mr. SATA should take the current goodwill of the people of Zambia to do the right things. Those aggrieved should sue William Banda.

  89. the PF CADRES HAVE ALREADY STARTED ALLOCATING PLOTS IN SOWETO AREA UNDER THE PYLONS BETWEEN THE NEW SOWETO MARKET AND CITY MARKET. HEAR COMES THUGGERY LOL.

WE TOLD YOU AND YOU ARE BARELY A DAY IN POWER. GOD KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER A MONTH.

  90. Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword. I blame those who shield William. Had the law taken it’s cause in the past “bad behaviour” of William this could have not happened. Now the former workers of William and William himself have been robbed. This happens when the rule of law is not up held. What has happened to William and the workers is totally bad. It pays to follow the word of God. I appeal to Zambians to set up a fund to help helpless workers including William Banda. Please donate generously to this cause. This is a lesson to all Zambians. Lets move forward as one nation. All citizens need to be treated well and protected.

  91. We should not blame PF cadres for what has happened, William Banda mistreated all citizens in a way. Who can verify they were PF cadres? What you do unto others finally catches up with you, just like days are numbered. We can all try to be good citizens for a better Zambia.

  92. Sorry to say , but tho this is not right , William banda had this comming .
reverse the situation , had RB won , i can not even begin to imagin what terror wilkliam would have unleashed ..if you thought he was BAD then you would have seen a Tasmenian Devil at work for the last 5 year tearm of RB …..BUT it was not so ..thank GOD ! .

This is a Clear lesson for all to learn .
Power is like a Protitute it always moves on to the next Always .
you can shine today , but sooner or later that light will go out .For william banda Time is up HE IS GOING TO GET WHAT HE GAVE OUT 10 times fold …….i dont feel sorry for him not one bit .

    • Probably William Banda is just a product of our volatile unpredictable society? Our prayer is that there sould be no more William Bandas in PF – and all political activists (in PF, UPND, FDD, NAREP, etc) should by now know better why they should not tolerate violent servants in their ranks. For the self-appointed or sponsored violence-promoting cadre, know that some citizens will wait for their time to get even…

  93. #112,
You are spot on! If the MMD had won there would have been hell on Zambian soil unleashed by Banda and his blood thirsty thugs. We must all thank God for intervening.

  94. The tone of PF supporters on this blog is worrying. One would think amassing such a convincing victory will cool their heads and take a step back with relief. For rational people, even worst enemy deserves a second look to decide the right course of action. But not with these thugs.Celebration means violence, maiming, property grabbing and destroying livelihoods. This is a bad start for Sata.Does it surpsrise me?Absolutely not. They are carrying actions packed in campaign speeches-defend yourselves. The biggest KAPONYA Zambian politics has ever witnessed.PFcried underhand treatment by MMD supporters and police. As 50s constable,Sata(though former murder convict and violent holigan himself) must show how he wanted things done,to presume everyone innocent until proven guilty by courts of law.

  95. PF is very different in all ways imaginable.
MMD does not need him, neither does Zambia

  96. No# 120 Do you have sympanth for the people and who,s property William terrorised? William practised sterio type of democracy if he had any thread of such values. You can only reap what you sow. He was planting hatred in the hearts of many Zambians. He never thought that one day Rupia can go out of govt. See how isolated he becomes. He is victim of his own stupidness.

  97. I am an eastener and totally abhorred William Banda. I am not a PF member but really why was this character brought back here sorry…no i am not sorry he really traumatised a lot of innocent people so he should now wish he was back in Malawi where late chiluba deported him to

  98. what ever willian did wrong this is still uncalled for , its really stupid and foolish to do this to someone , whoever has done it should be brought to books…and am sure its not PF its just people who are trying to mess PF name up….evil fools

  99. unfortunately Kabonde is not sure what to tell the Police because he was used to wait for orders from RB also he is not sure if he still has a job. Mr Sata, these sensitive positions can u announce them asap before people take advantage of muteness in the police

  100. Wonderful, pliz inflict more pain on william banda really he deserves that. And to the President H.E MC SATA we want to see plunderers in court soon, cage them and take Rupiah nyamasoya banda to mundawanga zoo so that the government can generate more income

  101. We Bembas say ‘fundi wa nsofu afwa ku nsofu’ Europeans agreed and said ‘he who lives by the sword dies by the sword’.  You cant say nshaibebe ati chikala aba so (mampi song)

  102. How could people behave like that? The man looks humble and he seems not to know what making trouble in life is like.I feel bad, as if he deserves it!

  103. This sort of uncivilized behaviour is unacceptable. I hope PF preserves the rule of law and the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice. One Zambia, One Nation!

  104. Let him swallow and enjoy the taste of his own medicine, ci mukulu conse sure kungo lila lila monga ka mwana, alah! I hope the immigration department has completed his deportation order, back to Blantyre baba.

  105. MMD Chief Bootlicker, amazingly you did not seem to hold or think about the quotes you are using today when MMD thugs openly threatened to gang rape our mothers or when William Banda himself openly advocated violence against those who held different views to the MMD’s and your president. He was a law unto himself; invincible, above the law. I’m sorry, but don’t expeect any sypathy from me for this thug. What’s good for the goose… He, and all of you should have thought about that then. Not now.

  106. It is very difficult to find sympathy for one William Banda, violene is th only language he understands. However, lets not sink to his level, lets move on as a great nation!!!!

  107. No pity for this ka banda!!! they should have killed him… we will fish you out where ever you hide, even across muchinje boarder into Malawi….

  108. You can certainly see your skills within the work you write. The arena hopes for even more passionate writers like you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart.
