Choma call boys undress girl in mini-skirt

Share

Choma call-boys undressed an unidentified young lady after she was spotted dressed in a very short skirt  last week.

The hooligans lifted up the young woman at shoulder height and undressed her in the process right in Choma town centre. They chanted against the wearing of mini-skirts.

Some tried to rescue the girl while other dashed to the scene with a wrapper to cover her nudity. The woman was quickly whisked into a nearby retail shop but the call-boys besieged the place, demanding the owner of the place to release the lady for more punishment.

“They stopped us from drinking ‘tujilijili’ but why are they allowing prostitution in day light like this. We wont accept that” some call boys were heard shouting.[pullquote]Let’s undress her so that she stops behaving in that manner. We need decency in dressing among ladies. This prostitute is reminding us of bedroom issues when we already left our homes in the morning,” some boys shouted.[/pullquote]
“Let this prostitute come out of the shop so that we see her and deal with her,” some shouted

After a while, a woman led the girl out of the shop with a wrapper on her body, but the call-boys stood by demanding to deal with the lady who could have been raped in broad day light if the mob had not been controlled.

“Let’s undress her so that she stops behaving in that manner. We need decency in dressing among ladies. This prostitute is reminding us of bedroom issues when we already left our homes in the morning,” some boys shouted.

But some women, who temporarily offered protection to the victim within the trading area, condemned the harassment saying some men had wives who dressed poorly but they did nothing to bring sanity in their homes.

As the mob continued chanting against her around Quarters trading area, Choma police came and put the victim in their vehicle and drove
off.Southern Province minister Obvious Mwaliteta, who was within Choma town at the time of the incident, condemned the harassment of the
woman.

Mwaliteta said it was unfortunate that such an incident could happen in Choma which was being developed into a provincial capital of Southern Province.

“As Government, we won’t tolerate people who harass women in such a manner. Don’t scare women from coming to town.I don’t expect such things to happen in Southern Province because the area is peaceful and disciplined,” he said. Mr Mwaliteta urged Choma residents to embrace all people as the town would be bigger and have different people as it fully becomes a provincial capital.

And Southern Province commissioner of police Brenda Muntemba said the police managed to control the call-boys because they had a duty to
protect any citizen who was being harassed.

Ms Muntemba, who declined to give further details, said it was a duty of the police to maintain law and order in Zambia.

    • You as just sad as them and shame on you for gloating over some1’s misfortune, as if you are so upright your self!

  1. I neither support the boyz nor the mini girl. Two wrongs have come up in this issue already. The girl is not supposed to dress like that in public, but on the other hand those Choma call boys should not have reached the extent of undressing her in public.

  2. castrate the co-boys.do u buy her cloths u *****s????
if u want u cn also walk in your bambas and your libido outside,no one is gonna poke.

  3. The harrassment of women for dressing in mini-skirts is a sad male chauvanistic hooliganism of the worst order. I have not heard of any call boy who has sagged his trousers being undressed by a mob of women nor fellow men! Sagging is absolutely illogical as everyone can see the under garments and sometimes even the arse of the culprit. Stop harrassing women or we the women will refuse to nurse male children when we give birth to them as they are becoming attackers and humiliators of the women folk. This woman should have been approached properly and told not to dress in an offensive manner rather than being undressed and nearly raped, just because the Zambian men on the streets miss TUJILIJILI! I am totally disgusted! Even bulk Chibuku should be banned, so that these animals reform! Fyola!

  4. VERY FOOLISH CALL BOYS OF CHOMA HOW CAN YOU UNDRESS SOME ONE WHO IS NOT YOUR WIFE YOU SHOULD FACE THE LAW

    • Sorry none of them was arrested… They took the naked woman in the police car.. What happens at the final destination.. Tomorrow you will read a Policeman raping this woman .. haa haaa.. :d

  5. Stop harassing women you worthless *****s! I have never heard of a prostitute being undressed what’s this nonsense just quit it! Sick bastards! You are the same ones that cheat on your wives and molest babies! Time will catch up with you!

  6. THESE CALL BOYS ARE HOOLIGANS AD MUST BE BROUGHT TO FACE CHARGES IN COURT.EVERY HUMAN HAS THEIR RIGHTS TO DRESS THE WAY THEY LIKE.THESE BASTARDS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SORTED OUT BY THE INSTANT JUSTICE MOB RATHER THAN JUST WATCH THE HELPLESS YOUNG GIRL GO THROUGH HELL..THESE GUYS CAN NOT BE HUMAN BEINGS BUT JUST UNCIVILIZED BARBARIANS.

  7. umuntu nga mwamukumbwa kumufwaya not ukumusebanya bad manners choma call boys learn to have manners.

  8. these hooligans must face the law and be punished for their unacceptable disgusting behavior. this kind of treatment towards women should not become acceptable in anyway, its disgraceful to zambia and disrespectful to women. shame on the *****s and they should be punished!!!

  9. Some of the ideas to sort out this nonsense. It’s obvious to me that these mammals are bored so one of the ways to get boredom off them is just by sending camera men and let them take as many photos as possible while the mammals are misbehaving and being barbaric to people. This is doeable. Publish those photos as wanted criminals. Go get them. Lock them up. Beat the heck out of them. Then take them to some land that need farming in Zambia and let them work for free for a couple of months, then teach them to respect all humans and then get their finger prints to do up a data base of criminals and warn them that if they are ever caught being mammals or commiting even the smallest crime, they will wish they were never born. These simpletons are not hard to sort out for goodness sake.

  10. ask for jobs and not undressing people in public. is it a sign of having nothing to do? PF work hard and creates jobs for yourth so far zero job created apart from promises which never come to fruitution.

  11. With all due respect, I beg to differ with Mwaliteta on some points. He says we should embrace all people, that’s a very good point, but I can rest assure the public that persons who are indecently dressed be it a man or woman will not be embraced.

The other thing is that Women cannot be scared of going to Choma town if they are properly dressed and men will not be on them. I can see from the scripture above that Mwaliteta concentrates on himself not wanting to see women being harassed, but he is not urging people to also consider dressing properly. The key issue here is for people to be encouraged to be decent enough in order to avoid raising eye brows.

  12. Thats the problem with the majority (i correct a good %age )of Zambian men…damn lazy… and with rotten minds. How can you undress a woman in public and threaten to rape her. Shameless fools… and you have people supporting such acts. So becouse you have no tujiljili you have to assault someone. Let them ban all these cheap beers that they waste their time on, maybe we will have a sane Zambia once more…*****s do they even know how such acts affect people psychologically… the Minister should act…please… when these people were busy chanting …you wonder where the police was. Just you give me (woman) power , this nonsense will be a thing of the past.

  13. if their parents and husbands can’t do it, let the call boys do it !!!!
we need sanity in the way women/girls dress !!!!

Why is Wynter Kabimba using the Special ZAF Aircraft !!!???!!!
    Zambians wake-up PLEASE !!!???!!!
Is Wynter a government Official !!!???!!!
He is doing personal deals using government, taxpayer resources !!!???!!!
AND Zambia Air-Force (ZAF) resources for that matter !!!

  15. When other human races (whites, indians etc) say black people are animals, they are not far from the truth.

    • in india one guy killed the other cause the latter took long in the toilet, that is humane to you? should we then say that indians are animals? don’t be stupid, race has nothing to with these things, all races have evil people, eg. hitler was white. most of u guys find it easy to use racially sensitive words maybe cause have never been really exposed to true racism when u do u will change your thinking!

  16. So backward fools. Thats why you can’t go for olympics because you may end up raping all participants. Fimoneni fiwajata Ngo’mbe.

  17. Only a perverted imbecile can find joy in the poor girls’ misfortune.

Just because men, in this case boys, are so immoral that they fail to control their erections does not warrant their imposition of a dress code on others.

There is no court in the world that shall accept you raping a girl/woman just because of a mini skirt, or even if you see her naked. The bible also commands you never to look at a woman lustfully no matter what.

  18. With this coldness someone still puts on a mini skirt!!!! Fashion surely knows no weather

  19. The men should have been arrested, locked up and charged with assault and riotous behaviour. The shop keeper who sheltered the woman is lucky not to have had his windows shattered.
I wonder how many tourists Zambia will lose when stories like this hit the news.

  20. For me this issue is a 50/50 situation and therefore it will not be right for us to blame the call entirely and covering the wrongs of the girl. Before we blame the call boys, we should also accept that it was totally unacceptable for our poor girl to dress like that.

The girl was not dressed well and to me that is the root cause of the whole matter and the call boys in the name of maintaining public discipline acted upon what they considered not good for Choma town. The only problem with the call boys was that they undressed her in public which I don’t support either. Otherwise they proved to be useful law enforcers.

My appeal is to my fellow bloggers to also uncover the wrongs of the girl so that we can be fair. I rest my case…….

  21.  india one guy killed the other cause the latter took long in the toilet, that is humane to you? should we then say that indians are animals? don’t be stupid, race has nothing to with these things, all races have evil people, eg. hitler was white. most of u guys find it easy to use racially sensitive words maybe cause have never been really exposed to true racism, when u do, u will change your thinking!

  22. Primitive tribes…when will they ever be civilised to act civil? What is wrong with wearing a mini skirt when it is hot?You guys need to join us in the UK as we bask in this mini heat wave to understand how people celebrate the sunshine.Your own people used to cover only their ‘bits’ just a century away. Someone said the former first lady Vera was shocked to see people walking naked in some area called Shangombo.Enough of this sick behaviour and sick minds promoting it.

  23. #41 You are very right. Not long ago all our ancestors used to walk around naked. There is nothing wrong with nakedness and this is all about male power and trying to keep women in their place. It has nothing to do with morality. If it did, then they would simply ask her to cover up and not undress her publicly. When people champion gay rights then they say it is not in our culture. But our culture we did not cover up partly to do with the climate in Africa so what is wrong with wearing a mini skirt? And who is the judge of what constitutes a mini skirt? If these guys had something better to do with their time then they would not behave like this.

  24. Just give these guys work, they will then have no time to undress women. If they have nothing to do, then hey they will do anything! Iddle minds …… Government globallly play a rle in employment creation by the way!

  25. All you have to do is look at very recent photos of the Gwembe valley Tonga people to see that wearing a very short skirt is in fact very traditional in our country. The misisi from W province is a poor copy of European 19th century dress.

  26. Some of us living in Europe such kind of dressing is not strange. What is the role of the call boys in Zambia???? None was arrested .. what order are they maintaining.. Toothless bull dogs.. only taking the naked woman from the shop.. Next destination is unknown, Tomorrow we may read that a policeman raped this naked woman.

  27. This is the work of men with very dirty minds. All they think about is s.e.x nothing else. I learn in Choma men take a lot of vuka vuka in their chomwela so once they see the knees of a woman the fools become hot. What uncivilised s.e.x maniacs!!!

  28. When will we as Zambians reach a level where people mind their own business. Her husband or mother could have bought the outfit for her. What right has the man on the street to judge what to or not to wear. Idle minds with nothing to do, all they have left is to look at what the neighbour is doing.

  29. I don’t think the photo portrayed in the scripture above is a true one. I the photo is a forged one then we demand a real picture for us to judge properly. Mwati telyashifye ili, pantu ba media nabo balafwaya ukuwamya.

  30. I hope next time it is their own daughters or granddaughters who are stripped in public. Let’s face it, we have literally no control over what our children wear. And where the hell is the zambia police IG – allowing this to happen. The call boys should be arrested – zambian women should stage a nude/topless/mini skirt march across the nation to stop this ubu fontini behaviour. It is totally un-acceptable – they boys should be parared and jailed with no bai. Only when they are sodomised in jail will they learn to mind their own business

  31. Had this happened somewhere in the Northern parts of the country, you can be rest assured there’d be danderhead bloggers associating this with Bembas and/or PF. Would it be right to associate this incident with Tongas and UPND?

  32. I am sure it’s a wrong picture potrayed here by the writer, I dont see any thing wrong with it. show the actual photo, please. In fact Bikins are not wrong, the KAPONYAs are just ignorant people. People have to see what is happening in other countries!

  33. How blacks get brainwashed by the western world. Who says what goes in the west is good and civilized? Even in the west well cultured ones never walk about nude. You want to deceive people just because you had an opportunity to be in Europe. God will judge you for supporting what is wrong when deep down you hearts you know it is not right. What morals and values will you teach your children. Ignorant copycats.

    • Your own ancestors were introduced to wearing clothes by missionaries. Is it called being brainwashed or what?

  34. I will not take sides, both sides are wrong. First the girl was wrong to dress nakedly as she did while on the other hand the call boys should not have undressed her. So let parents teach miners to this young girl the same applies to the call boys, let police teach them manners.

  35. Tongas are too educated my friend ,, it’s the Bemba,s they shall claim
You Tongas are just too uncouth and you think we shall let your kind near plot 1?
No way basa you will try and shag the animals at plot 1,
Keep you HIV infested HH in choma, we shall keep our country

  36. This is sexual assault. The police should have rounded up some fools and detained them, as a warning to would be offenders. Who determines what mini skirt is appropriate? This is not a Muslim country where people can’t wear what they feel comfortable wearing. Shame on these fools and the police for not doing enough.

  37. this foolish *****s ,cant believe some assholes on this stupid site are supporting them.Zambians pliz grow up

  38. Do not put 100% blame on the Choma call-boys. Some dressing is pornographic type of ones presentation! Most of the women and girls have lost their dignity through their indecent dressing. There are certain parts of the body that must be seen by only the authorized. Should one do it the other way round the consequence is moral degradation and loss of respect. Am not fully supporting what the call-boys did. Married women who are proposed by other men are those who dress like that Choma min skirt girl, ladies who dress decently even command respect from the public. When such a thing happen let’s not rush into blaming first analyze the the context at which something happened. This brings me to what I saw on the the post on-line edition of Friday 25th May, 2012. Shame!

  39. SHIKUBUNDA AT 39, for your info boyi, there is a lot of AIDS in moslem countries including Saudi Arabia. There is no single country that has been spared of the pandemic. Do you know know that same gender sex is rife in these so called “holier than though states”. Salman Rushdie is still in hiding for writing the “satanic verses” where he talked about sodomy. Go to Algeria or Morocco and court the “transvertites”, even in Iran there is a very vibrant Gay Community. Ta waenda iwe otherwise you wouldn’t talk about such crap!
