Defence Minister, Geoffrey Mwamba, has advised Post Managing Editor, Fred M’membe and former Patriotic Front (PF) party members, against using the media to dent his name.

Mr Mwamba, popularly known as GBM, says Mr M’membe and his minions were ‘jealous’ of his achievements, hence using the media to advance their selfish motives.

Mr Mwamba says he pays his allegiance to President Michael Sata and the entire PF executive and not individuals.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Livingstone today, Mr Mwamba refuted claims that he was dividing the ruling party, the Patriotic Front (PF).

ZANIS reports that this was shortly after some PF hooligans attempted to hound him out of the Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport premises prior to the arrival of President Michael State.

The Defense Minister was only served by Police Officers who thwarted the ploy to chase him from the airport premises.

Mr Mwamba said he was ready to leave the PF party but dared to rally behind President Sata and the government of the day.

‘’Mr M’membe and others are using the media to fight me and l do not know why they are doing so but probably, it is because of my achievements. If they want me out of the party, l am ready but l will remain loyal to the President and the entire PF party,’’ he said.

The Defense Minister was responding to claims by former Copperbelt Youth Chairman, Menyani Zulu, who said the PF will not allow him to divide the party and they will have no option but to throw him out.

He further denied knowing and naming some PF riffraffs in the ruling party.

The former PF Copperbelt Youth Chairman, Menyani Zulu, alleged that Mr Mwamba’s agenda of dividing the party was no longer a secret.

He accused Mr Mwamba of using money to buy support, a method that had allegedly failed in his political history to gain his popularity.

    • Emeny number one for PF is Fred mmembe… PF can do much better without the post newspaper and actually its the post which desperately need PF not the other way!!

    • GBM is Sata’s mouthpiece. You cannot talk about the PF and Sata without talking about GBM.

Sata’s vehicles from the time he started PF have been serviced and refueled at GBM Milling (Now what are you talking about). Even the Landcruiser VX Sata was using during the campaigns where brought by GBM.

GBM/Sata – Fire Kabimba and tell off this gay fellow Mu Mmembe.

    • GBM PRESENCE IN PF IS DISTROYING MMBEMBE AND KABIMBA’S PLANS TO CRAFTLY REMOVE SATA FROM PRESIDENCE……GO,GO….GBM DON T GIVE UP

  1. Early on in PF government reign, the ZW reported that there were some fierce in fighting in PF and many people tried hard to dismiss the ZW on being childish and none issue based then. Well, it’s getting physical now. And some people are naming names. It sure is getting ugly.

  2. can we call this a “diss”? I guess we can…so GBM(to me he is GBV) diss Fred….it getting hot in PF….take off your mask

  3. Not dat dey dig dipper in2 de truth . But dey create lies den gullible creatures fall 4 dem. Mwamba read de falsehood siting Fred,Winter nd Masebo ‘ving a hiden agenda in line of who succeedsSata.Anywayboth camps re bhaving foo lis hly if its true.

  4. MR MINISTER,

    YOUR CHOICE OF WORDS SUCH

AS RIFFRAFF ON ANYONE WAS UNFORTUNATE.

    IT WAS INSULTING ENOUGH.

DID THE POST PLANT THOSE WORDS

    IN YOUR MOUTH?

    • GBM was very diplomatic calling them RIFFRAFF’s. Kabimba and his co-opted friends are more than just riffraffs.

Can Sata please bring in a sane Justice Minister, so we can have sanity in this crucial Ministry? GBM – Mu Mmembe will fall whether he likes it or not.

    • @ANTI-GBM WE SEE THAT YOU ARE PAID BY MMBEMBE.REMEMBER,SATA IS A WISE POLITICIAN.BY NOW HE KNOWS THE CRAFTNESS OF THESE THUGS KABIMBA,NCHITO,MMBEMBE AND RIFFRAFFS LIKE SAMPA,SCOTT AND THIS SO CALLED ZULU…..

    • Those that downgraded themselves to RIFF-RAFF responded angrily, such as Riff-ruff Miles (Kilometres) Sampa and Meembe ( Homoxxx) et al. I am really fascinated by GBM’s wide and apt vocabulary; he actually used RIFF RUFF correctly to describe the miscreants without naming them – and on their own they came out from their hiding places like bedbugs when hot water is poured there! More will come out. Meanwhile, GBM, faka malasha!

  5. There is no honour among RIFFRAFFS,the composition of most PF membership. Just to give an idea of how disreputable people (PF govt) fails to manage a foreign affairs ministry. In just 2 years PF govt has had 4 ministers of foreign affairs. Mr Sata has never been visted by any foreign head of state and Sata has never been invited by any foreign govt. Few visits have been combined with medical treatments abroad though the nation has never been informed that our president is sick and seeking medical treatment abroad. That’s how riffraffs manage national matters. However, the penny has now dropped.

  6. Have some dignity P.F. Vintu va so debate them in-house. All parties including UNIP im sure had their own internal “rucks”, but they kept them sealed. Talk about scoring an own goal. If the party shows its divided, & in turmoil, do you honestly believe the citizens will have faith in you? This is also the reason why P.F should NOT muzzle any news outlets “For telling lies to the masses” They have been screaming from the rooftops, about “The Mmembe/ Kabimba/Nchito power struggles which are now out as clear as Day. The question is Why is there a “Power struggle” when the President has not even completed his first term? Tells You something. I feel sorry for the Elected President.

    • Lesson for Mr Sata, you need the Zambian people on your side- as it stands you are as vulnerable as a Deer “mwi lungu” with no one to run to. In two years you have refused to address the your masters-the voters- thought M’membe’s paper will save you. Now everything is crumbling down right in your eyes and the Zambians people will be just as glad to see you go.

  7. The WD is doing a good job, I am enjoying the squabbles in PF, THEY are a good sign of immaturity and lack of democracy. Go HH GO

  8. PF IS FINISHED ITS TIME FOR UPND NOW. PF IS MAKING HISTORY FOR GOVERNING ONLY ONE TERM IN ZAMBIA .VIVA UPND VIVA H.H PRESIDENT 2016.

  9. GBM is Sata’s mouthpiece.

  10. YES,ONE DAY THE POST NEWSPAPERS WILL PUT THIS COUNTRY ON FIRE.THE POST NEWSPAPERS HAS SHAMELESSLY FORMED AN ALLIANCE WITH PF.IT IS SAD TO NOTE THE PAPER THAT WAS ONCE VIBRANT AND TRUSTED ON THE TRUTH REDUCING ITSELF TO PROPAGANDA AND LIES.THERE IS NOTHING POSITIVE ABOUT OPPOSITION PARTIES THAT IS REPORTED IN THE POST TODAY,EXCEPT NEGATIVE NEWS.I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THE LIFESPAN OF THE POST IS THE SAME AS THAT OF PF GOVT,IF NOT SHORTER.IT IS VERY SAD INDEED THAT THE POST HAS CHOSEN THIS PATH OF DESTRUCTION.I DONT SEE THE POST CONTINUING TO OPERATE,IF FOR INSTANCE THE UPND COMES TO POWER IN 2016 AND THIS IS THE REASON MEMBE IS DETERMINED TO MAKE SURE THAT SATA IS RE-ELECTED IN 2016.

    • The POST putting which Country on Fire. Mu Mmembe is simply a small self overated individual, that will be sorted when that time comes… It’s simply not possible.

Now, can we please have Given Lubinda back in Cabinet.. Want to see Sata/GBM/Lubinda taking the core decisions in the inner Cabinet. Starting with sorting out Mu Mmembe once and for all.

    • Lubinda is friends with Mmembe. He gets full coverage from Post, its Lubinda who started this with GBM last week in the Post.

    • You mean UPND will come and close a privately owned news paper? Thank God they are not coming to power in 2016. phweeeeee!

  11. The iceberg is now floating about 2 third (2/3rd) of its total height above the cold seas, instead of its usual 1/7tth tip of the peering above the ocean. GBM has come in the open to name Mmembe and his newspaper The Post as part of the clique waging an intra-party war against him – within the PF.

The battle lines have been drawn between the GBM led Bemba-speaking group vs the the Kabimba/Masebo-led Sala/Soli group. If the crack grows wider, then Mmwmbe’s Post will not be allowed to cross the chasm into Luapula, Muchinga and Northern Provinces – this will also draw-in the Eastern Province as well. In this regard the original proprietor of PF as a business venture, must quickly learn to identify as to which side of the his daily bread is buttered Or else get exposed to self…

  12. if only sata/gbm/lubinda team can get rid of mumembe and summer, pf can live long, otherwise, pf is in for a blow in 2016.

    • Am advocating for Given Lubinda to bounce back and take up one of the now 2 vacant Cabinet Positions!

My plea to Given is to work with Sata and GBM to sort out Mu Mmembe once and for all.. He thinks he can be a match maker, not in this Country.

  13. 2016 is for second term.

All those vying and have the ambition for plot 1 shall remain loyal to gain access in 2021

    • Is Sata’s re-election possible in 2016? Haven’t we agreed in the draft constitution to 75 as the presidential age limit? Or are we going to see a “Nicodemus” rebirth to make him qualify? If PF is chasing numbers in Parliament through induced by-elections so that Parliament can tweek the constitution, won’t that be another constitutional failure? a departure from our desire to let Parliament simply enact what is adopted at the referendum?
Can’t PF have a serious succession plan by having a VEEP who qualifies to stand for republican president? Isn’t Scott a lame duck constituionally hence all the caccophony on Sata’s successor
      Ndelolesha fye …

  14. President Sata is the only glue holding the PF together. As a party , the PF does not have a recognisable character or mission , other than its misdion of dislodhing the MMD . Having achieved that objective, albeit deceitfuly, the PF as a party is in a crisis of an identity. The PF lacks a clear mission as governing does not seem to fit its dna. The party thrives on conflict . Rid the environment of chaos and conflict, the PF dies.( It is like the germs which can not survive in a clean environment). That is the other reason why by- elections and the conflict they often breed are so important to the PF. If there is no chaos around, the PF will invariably turn on itself and self- destruct. This is because it lacks the structures, systems and process to govern and actualise policies.

    • iye efyo walanda bwino. Reminds me of when pf was in opposition. They had no clear structures in their party, they thrived on lies, by opposing every that rb was doing. They capitalised on the fact that people wanted change and made us believe that they were the change we wanted and we never scrutinised their manifesto…and now we are in this state of mwamoneni

  15. GBM just keep quite you riffraf . You are the one fighting the post . They will dig your past and expose you you GBV

  16. Meembe take your mask. You have no morals iwe mudala, Zambia teyobe weka. You do not like P.F. Let alone the President Mr SATA. You so damn predictable, may you rot in hell

  17. Zambians are still having problems co-existing with the press. You cannot fight the press. The pen is mighty. I might not agree with The Post, but I respect what they do. What Zambia needs are more people with balls, like Mmembe.

  18. Let’s face it, if Zambians were to elect this man as President, that would signal the end of Zambia as we know it. Mmembe is doing us all a favour. This wife beater is not fit to be a minister, let alone a president. PF no longer need his money. He needs to wake up to that fact.

    • Every Zambian including you and that begger on the street can by Law become President provided there above 35.

  19. I like the way Sata has kept queit. It gives him many options when things really get out of hand. The small boys are busy squabbling in public!

    • What you are celebrating over is not good leadership. The man is not quiet. He is in hiding. Dead scared. Coming out every once in a while but at a loss what to do. Sooner or later he will have to face these squabbles head on. Or else, and in this scenario, two big beasts are fighting and the development of Zambia just happens to be the grass.

    • Tubulu munyela pamenshi, all in good time. HEMCS will respond and you will hear the apologies from all these squabbling hyenas.

  20. It is very interesting to note how mmembe has revealed his self distructive nature. There was a time in my life when I thought that if mmembe decided to stand for presidence, I would have voted for him. I had so much respect for the bravely of this man. He stood strong both in the late 80s and early 90s when things were really hot. I cant believe that the truth has slowly evaporated from this man to now side with the devil, prince of darkness! What a sad ending!

    • Who is the devil and prince of darkness, but the one falsely accusing others and pointing a finger? The sons and daughters of the devil always accuse God fearing people just like the demons and Roman soldiers who crucified Jesus Christ falsely accused him.You should refrain from naming others evil when your own standing is biased towards those you favour.

  21. Kabimba has always mocked the MMD by saying their top leadership is divided and embroiled in squabbles, can he now be honest enough and comment on the intensifying crisis in his own PF party?

  22. I just go hold of a novel called power seekers. interesting, but the first page reads.
“when people talk about power, it is the power the haves over the haves not. Money is fine” Adams, Demon etc. The gay son lost off, while Demon produced a girl who could not take over the thrown.
So thus what is happening in PF. Who is this cadre to try and hold the Defence Minister, soldiers would have shot him dead.
Anyway Kambimba opened his mouth carelessly and time to pay back is soon coming and it will come.

  23. Its hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt tht Membe intentionaly is dividng PF.Why?He simply reports wht has bn said by pipo & of he goes.He doesnt force pipo to speak!Nevr! Why blame him?Fr Kabimba it borders on competence. As long as his boss Sata is comfotble with hs duty who can counter?Nothng beyond ths can ursurp his position in govt. The same aplies fr Masebo & al govt oficials. Now fr Membe again its dificulty to detrmine whether he hs influence on PF afairs. Is he a member or external stakeholder or an observr?I bet the later.Fr GBM & Membe l dont thnk its a quarel bt misunderstandng. One thng is Gbm is a leader & public.Critics against hm in public re painful to to bear. They may b humiliatng bt sealow the pride boss its being in leadrship.U expect anythng bt ready to explain withoutw

  24. GBM is not a seasoned politician. Its common knowledge that he is eyeing the presidency but its too early for him to start ranting. Sata is not a fool as to endorse GBM for the presidency. Before 2016 GBM will have been destroyed. No crafty politician fights the press especially Mmemba, like it or not who has defeated them all.
The truth of the matter is that Sampa and Kabimba have been with Sata through thick and thin and you cannot distance them by throwing money around because, the PF was no built on money but popular support from the grass roots.

  25. Fred M membe and GBM please PF belong to us not you. What ever both of you have achieved has nothing to do with the party.Let us work together to develop our great nation and our party.A great leader focus on development than bikering on simple issues.

  26. But where is the so called party chief executive when the party is embroiled in such confusion? Even Sata himself is quite. I strongly feel that GBM has the backing of President Sata. It’ s just the adage of the blind man. If he says I will stone you, it simply means he is stepping on a stone.

  27. Given a choice, I guess GBM would be more of the frying pan and Kabimba the fire, only that both would be a DISASTER in State House! Maybe this is what some blogger meant the other day when he called something a “catch 55”? Surely choosing between Kabimba and GBM for President would be FAR worse than an ordinary catch 22, and might even be as bad as a “catch 77”!

That said, let me get this other thing right. A band of hooligans were threatening the Defense Minister at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport to the point GBM had to be rescued by the police. Right?

So, were any of these cadres arrested for ASSAULTING A CABINET MINISTER and, if not, what other than “riffraff” do you call a government (let alone society) that tolerates this behavior?

  28. We do not need to spend huge amount of money by hosting (High profile) Heads of State. We have had President George Bush and President Clinton visiting Zambia what is your problem sir?

For your own information Zambia has been earmarked for development. The Zambian Govt.is contructing dual carraige way from DRC to Kasama to be used to ferry Copper from Zaire. This will boast economy.More mines to be opened in North Western Province. When American Presidents visit a country expect more i arrest my case

  29. They was a David (and will always be) in the forest looking after the animals. His parents did not even bother to invite him when the man of God,Samuel, came to annoint the one to take over form King Saul. The Lord knows who will suceed HE MC Sata.
In the mean time let us support the current leadership led by HE MC Sata.We are commanded to pray for them for peace.Let us respect our leaders, some of us have not been in leadership.

Who says watch dog digs deeper! Only the nemies of the State give vital information to this evil on line media whose Agenda is to promote hatred.

  30. Post reports what is being said period; both Mmembe & GBM have stakes in the PF, Mmembe provided the coverage whilst GBM provided finances. Fred is not really interested in being in power (presidency) because he controls the pen, the most powerful weapon ever. However, from the pronouncements from GBM about endorsement of Sata, it shows he is interested in the position.

Now the real issue which should worry all of us is the level of lawlessness in PF. How can carders attempt to evict the whole DEFENSE MINISTER from the airport, are we really serious? And they go unpunished. Is Zambia as a country secure? PF needs to show leadership and stop this nonsense.

    • @Mokonzi,
Sata is in a fix and his hands are tied because he owes his ascendency to the presidency to these warring men and therefore it is difficult for him to either take sides or sack the lot. The situation is so bad that Sampa has now hired personal bodyguards for his security. The inner circle is crumbling.

  31. hahahahahahahahahaha……………………….these 1diots are now fighting each other publicly. its nice to hear a riff-raff calling another riff-raff ‘a riff-raff ‘. ba great bag of maize(gbm) do not exclude yourself from the list of riff-raffs. your schemes to ascend to presidency with such cheap manoeuvres is to cheap for this generation. find something more intelligible.

  32. Fred M’membe s one of de most inteligent pipo Zambia hs eva produce. Mind u he hs added law 2hs jonalizm profesiono. U can’t compare hm 2Gbm. Amano cuma bane. I love de post n I don’t rememba de day I misd it. Kip it up guyz.

  33. Pf is a party of rifraffs indeed. There is no discipline whatsoever. Attempting to manhandle the entire Great Bush Meat (GBM),the defence minister oh my! If they can do this to their own what about those from the opposition? Its don’t kubeba all the way until 2016. The governance experiment continues.
