The Zambia Under-23 and Under-20 National Football Teams on Thursday square off in a practice match to mark the nation’s 49th Independence Anniversary in Lusaka.
The two junior teams clash in the 15:00 hours kick off match at Nkoloma Stadium as they prepare for their respective future assignments.
The Hector Chilombo coached Under-23 squad will early next year take part in the 2016 Rio Olympics qualifiers while the Under-20 will be defending the COSAFA Junior Championship in Lesotho this December.
The teams entered camp in Lusaka on Tuesday prior to the practice match on Independence Day.
Some of the players in the Under-23 squad are Nkana’s Reynold “Sate Sate” Kampamba, Felix Nyaende of Nchanga Rangers, Bruce Musakanya (Red Arrows), Lubambo Musonda (Power Dynamos) and Bernard Mapili (Zesco Utd).
Meanwhile, Under-20 coach Osward Mutapa has called the likes of Billy Mutale (Nchanga Rangers),Spencer Sautu (Forest Rangers), Boyd Musonda (Young Zanaco) and Peter Mwanalushi (Kafue Celtic).
