Namibia Under-20 coach Ronny Kanalelo says holders Zambia are
favourites to win the 2013 COSAFA Youth Championships.
Kanalelo’s team is in Group C together with Zambia, South Africa and Seychelles.
The 2013 COSAFA Under-20 Youth Championship will take place in Lesotho from December 3-14.
The ex-Namibia goalkeeper said Zambia have been consistent at the
regional youth championships.
Kanalelo acknowledged that Namibia are in a tough group.
“It’s a very tough group, you could go far as to call it the Group of
Death. Zambia are the holders and will be favourites once again, they
have performed consistently well at this level over the years,” he
told COSAFA.
“South Africa is in a similar situation to us in that we have not
played for a while, and we will see what Seychelles brings. It will be
very tough,” Kanalelo added.
The COSAFA Under-20 Youth Championships bounces back this term after a
one year absence.
