Share

Emmanuel Mayuka and Herve Renard run into Christmas continues to hit turbulence after losing in Wednesdays French Coupe de la Ligue.

Sochaux slumped to their fifth successive defeat on Wednesday night after tumbling 3-0 away to Nice in a last defeat.

The defeat came just four days after losing again to Nice this time in a Ligue 1 game by a modest 1-0 score line last Saturday.

And it is in the Coupe de la Ligue where coach Renard picked up his only win to date n October 30 when Sochaux beat Montpellier 3-2 to advance to the last 16.

Meanwhile Mayuka played the full 90 minutes for the club.

  1. What HR is using now is the team he found already assembled by the other coach. Am sure if he buys his own tast by January things will change, Sunzu can be key to his back line.

    • Hahaha look at the manager of Southampton he found the same players and look where his team is…stop making excuses for him. Why did he take the job or why didn’t he wait for January?
      Wake up! !

    • And what makes you think his club can afford to take that risk with him till the end of season with such poor stats? What makes you think his club can afford to buy Sunzu from TP?

    • @Jay Jay why are so jealous of Renard? And I never heard of praising anybody. For example, I like Patrice, he is young and achiever, imagine whom he will be when he turns 50yrs.

  2. I hope his fans are watching. ..i said before and I say it again – HR can’t cut it as a club manager never…he LAMENTABLY FAILED to cut it at international level where he had the luxury of two or more weeks to prepare for the next game.
This is the man we were wasting our tax dollars on and funny enough we are making the very selfsame mistakes with Patrice instead of getting someone experienced to build a young squad.
I bet you HR is missing his gullible fans now! Iol

    • Ba Jay Jay: Sunzu has played in France before naimwe. He was there for a season. I thought you had better soccer records. Research before you post anything.

    • Atleast under patrice,we have Zambia creating clear cut chances in the few games we have played.Under HR,the team was always a defensive team.

    • Mr. Armchair Critic; don’t you realize he took over a bottom table team? Not even Alex Ferguson can turn that team around in a space of a couple of months. Besides, his CV/Resume reads; 2012 AFRICAN CHAMPION – how ’bout them apples?

    • Kalaba was in Europe before and he didn’t do well and Sunzu has never played in Europe so it can be a risky move on the French club given the position they are in.

  3. zambians why are you suggesting renard to buy sunzu and kalaba when both have been to europe and never made it,kalaba has been to france and portugal while sunzu was in france for one season…renard is not obliged to buy zambian players cos he was zambian coach….there r a lot of french boys who can do well better than these guys in congo……….

    • The gullible fans seem to think HR owes them a favour. ..they also don’t relies that Katumbi has ambitious plans for his club and unlike poor Zambian clubs he is not going to easily part with his players for a pantry $200, 000!!

  4. @jay jay football is not an exact science sometimes making your own team is what works. HR is after all not so bad a coach.

  5. Jay Jay …. personally I find your hatred of this Frenchman very absurd. We thank God that he is French and not Zambian for you to play around with as a cat plays with a mouse before killing it. Renard has achieved a lot and he is still young. Whatever personal problems you had with Renard, please keep them to yourself. Did you want him to stay with FAZ so that you ridicule him daily?? No. Thank God the man had options, and he left your team and country to do as you wish. Man, spare us your vernom for this man. Maybe write him.

    • And there lays the problem with most Zambian football fans, anybody who criticises Faz or the coach has a personal agenda…you also seem to forget the simple fact that had HR not decided to leave on his on free will FAZ and your buffoon of minister at Sports were still going to continue paying him our tax payer’s money.
If you are incapable of engaging bloggers in an issue based debate, please kindly yourself from such debates…where were you when people were insulting me for questioning HR’s credentials or tactics on this forum 2 years ago? You didn’t find that absurd did you?

  6. Its better FAZ call Renard back to coach Chipolopolo, the man can take us to world cup in QUATAR. Why mayuka failed to help his team? The boy had a chance to prove his worthness but marubbish yeka yeka, by now we should have been saying due to mayuka goals sochabe is number 1 u can’t go in a game only to score ka one goal and the team loses then ur ka goal is useless, my friend score 4 – 7 goals in one game makhaka iwe

  7. JAY JAY, YOU ARE VERY RIGHT. THIS HR IS A PHYSICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR. THE ONE WHO WON US THE AFRICA CUP I STILL ARGUE IS BONNET, THE ITALIAN COACH WHOM GREAT GALU FAILED TO CORRUPT TILL HE WAS KICKED OUT. HR HAS NOT STRATEGY. SAME GAME FROM AFRICA CUP. NO WONDER WE WERE BOOTED OUT AT THE EARLIEST. AM SURE HE HAS GONE WITH THE SAME TACTICS OF ADOPTING HIS COLLEAGUES APPROACH AND HENCE THE LOSES. SOON HE WILL RECEIVE A GOOD BOOT IN THE SAME.

  8. I have always said that Renard is nothing more than a P.E Teacher. Sochaux is going nowhere with this imposter. The sooner they realised this the better.

  9. “Emmanuel Mayuka and Herve Renard”??? HR is water under the bridge, better we talk about Mayuka, why combine our own with a foreigner?? Awe naimwe twatendwa mwe!!!!

  10. Yes HR must make a third come back so that he blends with Patric to make a very dull and lazy Chipolopolo who cant attack nor score. Always playing backward…shaaa.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.
