Share

Coach Wedson Nyirenda has hailed the performance of three Zambian players at his Mozambiquen side HCB Songo.

Veteran defender Nicholas Zulu, forward Jacob Mupeta and striker Lewis Macha are part of the Songo squad that Nyirenda guided to finishing third in the 2013 Mocambola League.

Nyirenda said he was impressed with the performance of Zulu, Macha and Mupeta in Mozambique.

“The Zambian trio of Nicholas Zulu, Jacob Mupeta and Lewis Macha accounted for themselves very well. I must say that I am so pleased with the boys’ discipline, hard-work and performance,” he said.

“They represented our nation well. They have contributed immensely to the great improvement of the club,” Nyirenda added.

The ex-Zesco United and Zanaco coach signed the trio upon joining Songo at the beginning of 2013.

Macha and Mupeta joined Songo from Zanaco while Zulu was at Kabwe Warriors before his move to Mozambique.
